@ABHEEK NATH i bet a thousand dollars tre cannot play the stuff Travis writes. I'm not talking about solos. I'm talking about his technicalities in general. Tre could not handle it.
@@dextermorgan4432 Yeah, I don’t know why everyone’s tripping over Travis being better. Travis manages to stick to the song AND be complex, Tre just sticks to the song.
Tre is more accomplished and rock solid on the recordings and live performances no matter how fast he is going. I've listened to a lot of Blink's tracks and some of them are pretty sloppy at times. Tre is fucking monster when he plays.
Foxxyman I know that he is very erratic and acts real crazy on stage but in interviews he's pretty calm and collective. I like that about him, too. He puts pizazz into the band's performances. He was inspired by Keith Moon evidently, that's why he makes funny faces and stuff. Haha he's entertaining.
I do think Tre is brilliant, he has a great style and sticks to the songs well while still playing some impressive stuff and great fills, but I have a much harder time playing Travis' stuff because he's so insanely fast and creative, yet still manages to complement the songs perfectly.
I'd say they're both the same skill level; they both play differently for their types of music. Tré actually toned down his drumming because it was too crazy (a bit like Travis' drumming is). Tré's drumming is tidier, less unnecessarily flashy, and he plays the song, not just the instrument, and usually about as energetic as energetic as Travis in his song. Travis overplays more (I honestly don't care about overplaying, it makes songs sound cooler in my opinion), and plays faster, and most of the time more energetic, but he seems a bit messier. All the people saying Tré is shit compared to Travis or vice versa are wrong. They both have about the same skill level, but play differently for the songs. Most of the people saying Tré and/or Travis are shit are also saying this is really the only time they've heard their drumming, and this video leaves out quite a bit of (especially Tré's) best moments. As I said, Tré plays the song, not the instrument; he is capable of what Travis does, but chooses to play the way he does to fit the song, where Travis just goes mental putting fills in wherever he can (I have no problem with that), which sometimes doesn't add to the song much, while Tré plays what is needed, and sometimes goes crazy when needed. Overall though I prefer Tré, just because he is a more solid drummer, and he has a great personality, and is better at entertaining crowds. And please don't reply to this in all caps "TRAVUS IS BETER THN TEE COOL BECUZ HE PLAY FASTERER THAN TEE WHO IS SHIT BECAUSE HE PLAYS BORIG AN DOESNT DO KEWL STUFF pls dont tell my mom i sweared"

Tre is by far has more musical talent than Travis. Tre is way tighter when it comes to playing. His beats are crisp and to the point and uses the drums as a musical instrument. Travis use to be that way before he sold his musical drumming soul to blink 182. When he played with the Aquabats on "The Fury of the Aquabats" he was an actual musician. He incorporated the drums to the music not just going out there and playing as fast as he possibly can. I invite every single one of you to go and find and BUY that album, one of the greatest ska albums out there, and see just how shitty of a drummer Travis has become.
Travis is way more talented than tré, he used to be a jazz player and took jazz beats and turned them to alternative rock with a higher tempo. Watch some of his warmups

Travis is more creative and likes to show off all his skills in one song, whereas Tre knows exactly what he's doing and completes the music, he know's what it needs and when it needs it. :) Both are talented and in different ways.
I think Tre would be better to talk to off stage and he is much better than he shows off he just does it for the fun and for just spending time with his life long friends.
travis gets my vote easily! lets see why. he's been in auqabats, blink, boxcar, +44, the transplants, performed with DJ AM, collabrated with so many huge artist like: tim armstrong, eminem, slash, corey taylor, tom morello, etc etc did plenty drum off with questlove, Adrian Young. did so many remixes. he loves what he's doing. so fucking what if he hits hard and head banging - he feels the music with everypart of his body, what's so bad about it? his a great showman, great with arrangement.
Yeaaa I'm going to have to disagree. I mean, Green Day plays simpler music for sure. But his chops, his sound, hell even his technique are all poor. Travis is a much more advanced and much more polished player, and I think he's much more musical too. Tre has very limited skill.

@nakia4747 From seeing them both live i can honestly say travis has so much more feeling and puts far more heart into his drumming. Also look at the variations of music Travis plays, and the speed he puts out is crazy
Tre has bigger drum solos during the song and he plays it more accurately and doesn't change the way he plays it every-time and he keeps it simple. While travis has better solos but he makes the songs so complicated where he cant remember what he started out with and it evolves to just noting of what the song was
Tre Cool is a tighter drummer, but Travis is more experimental and adds more energy to his songs in my opinion. I feel like Tre is a better session-type drummer and Travis is better live.
