favorite story ever: Bert from the used talking about his first warped tour said that they were playing in Texas one day, it was like 105 degrees, everyone's drenched in sweat and just dying, and the Used are playing and he looks out into the audience, and there, in the center of the mosh pit, is Matt Skiba, in a black on black on black three piece suit...on a pogo stick.
Even if they are getting more popular, I've loved them since I was in 7th grade... That's about 7 years ago! They have a lot of talent. I mean, listen. I love Alkaline Trio. :)
You can imagine if Alkaline Trio And Taking Back Sunday collide with the same acoustic songs like All On Black except for A decade under the influence.
The first drummer the band had was Glenn Porter, he recorded Goddamnit, Maybe il catch fire and the self titled. He left in 2000 (i think) and was replaced by Mike felumlee. Mike Recorded 'from here to infirmary but then left in 2001 because of a feud with matt skiba. Then derek joined and he's been drumming for them ever since. Oh yes, when the band started in 1996 they had a bassist called Rob Doran but he left very early and was replaced by Dan
Alkaline Trio is my favorite band and I'll admit, they've never had the best guitar. And they've never claimed to. But Dan more than makes up for it with excellent bass playing. Something about this band always gets to me, I've listened to all their albums tons of times over and they never get old.
@KriZ0o Kinda hard tho, 3 guitars playing different parts. Chords are Am-F-Am-F-G (Verse) F-G-F-G (Bridge) Am-F-G (Chorus) And the last part "I'll never really know- - One of these days" C-F-Am-G If you'r going to play it acoustic with yourself on vocals i suggest just playing the chords.
Does anyone have a clear list on what trio songs have been played acoustic? btw Dans acoustic bass is cool but sadly you can't hear it much over the two guitars
Not really, but somewhat. Like the line "Whats upsidedown once, coated in silver. My crusifiction, my four leaf clover." If im not mistaken, he's talking about a cross. Or an upside down cross to be precise.
Does anyone know if they are coming out with a new album soon? Saw em at warped tour, they played a new song and it fuckin rocked. Im really looking forward to more.
Iv met and spent time with these guys to clear a little up Matt and Derek are not satanic worshipers they however do have a Church of Satan card each which you have to pay for and just signifies your interest in Anton Szandor LaVey and they as people are not emo these guys have to be the happiest people iv ever met just cause they wear black doesnt mean they are "emo". Was Johnny Cash an emo he was coined the man in black... appearances mean nothing emo has just become a derogatory team in punk!
@Blatdidat @againstmatt1986 I don't understand why bands need 'credibility' nor do I see how their appearance ruins an experience that should be about music and, if you're live, energy/performance. if you have a copy of their first record on Asian Man Records, Goddamnit, you'd see they're in makeup. I'm pretty sure they were in and out of doing much heavier make up before they started going after certain specific styles with derek.
Derek is a perfect example of the word talent.

Daniel Robinette where'd you hear this? I want to hear sounds funny
How sick is that when they all sing "And peeled the pictures off the wall"
Sounds so damn good.
No man can rock guyliner like Derek can
Derek is mesmerizing
I haven't seen this version of my favorite song in years. Thanks Algorithm.
Glad that Matt sings this song mainly but they all sing it great acoustic performance here
The only band to all play guitar at once and still sound like the album
The album version of this song is fantastic, it's dark, it's fast, it's punky, it's alkaline trio
Fucking love this video. Saw A3 at a small college in NH over a decade ago, good memories
Good shit. thanks for the upload
as soon as "WE" leave town...must have been a positive day for Matt :)
Even if they are getting more popular, I've loved them since I was in 7th grade... That's about 7 years ago!
They have a lot of talent. I mean, listen.
I love Alkaline Trio. :)
This performance gives me chills man. These guys are awesome.
damn derek can sing!
Alk3 do ALOT of acoustic stuff but this is the first time i seen them use an acoustic bass
Probably the best band out there. Awesome acoustic version. Trio is the shit.
the most three talented, sweetest, down to earth men alive.
Your music has saved me and i could never repay you for that.
My favorite band EVER. And I just found out that their cd is out now...by this page...so thanks.
Ive pretty much grown up listening to these guys, I miss them :{
these guys should own the country
one of these days....
Pretty cool to have a drummer that can switch over to lead guitar.
You can imagine if Alkaline Trio And Taking Back Sunday collide with the same acoustic songs like All On Black except for A decade under the influence.
This my favorit band
they rule at acoustic
That was absolutely fantastic.
Alkaline Trio... My Gods.
they are THE BEST.
I used to have this video on my myspace. I thought it was so cool that Matt was wearing the same Christian Death t-shirt that I had (and still have!).
I think my 3 favorite albums must be Alkaline Trio, From here to Infirmity and Good Mourning
God i love them so much.
man i love this song!!

FAVOURITE SONG :]

They are, they're in the studio right now. If you have a facebook, become a fan of them and you get all the updates.
This proves how deep Matt’s voice used to be his voice couldn’t really get much deeper here lol 😂
nice Christian Death tshirt Matt's wearing.
sounds like his voice was already recovering by this point
Imagine if Blink-182, Green Day And MxPx to join forces with Alkaline Trio in a rock band duo with 3 other guys.
more than great
dereks singing in very nice
@KriZ0o
Kinda hard tho, 3 guitars playing different parts.
Chords are
Am-F-Am-F-G (Verse)
F-G-F-G (Bridge)
Am-F-G (Chorus)
And the last part
"I'll never really know- - One of these days"
C-F-Am-G
If you'r going to play it acoustic with yourself on vocals i suggest just playing the chords.
2017!
same
derek sings in mercy me, aswell as this on the album he plays the backround vocals he makes a great back up but i like him more on drums
dan is playing an acoustic bass
I never realized how much Derek Grant looks like Damien Echols.
Holy shit.. how good is this :|
YEAH
agreed.
Does anyone have a clear list on what trio songs have been played acoustic?
btw Dans acoustic bass is cool but sadly you can't hear it much over the two guitars
Matt has a sweet death by stereo beanie on.
Derek tho
🖤🚬
queria esse show inteiro alguem ai sabe como axo
AND I FUCKN LOVE THOSE PANTS! OH and these guys too!
Not really, but somewhat.
Like the line "Whats upsidedown once, coated in silver. My crusifiction, my four leaf clover."
If im not mistaken, he's talking about a cross. Or an upside down cross to be precise.
Anybody know where I can find som tabs for this acoustic version?
theres a few that ponder
@KriZ0o I'll be adding tabs to my videos per request, and I do have this song on my video list.
o god im tripping
@KriZ0o I have a few videos of all on black you might want to look at for ideas on how to play it acoustically. cheers.
I've tried that without any luck, i can only find tabs for the version on the album
Dans my fav member of alk3, he should make a new band with him singing and playing guitar....not sayining alk3 is the best band ever lol XP
deadpunk16 Funny... he did exactly that. 😂
d grant loves himself so much. it's true.
ooo really :P whats the bands name?..or cd
lol how come they change some of the lyrics everytime they play live? xD
by the way who s james that he said in the end?
on of this james..
haha
What do you mean "Dan singing and not Matt"?
Matt is singing.
Derek's on the left, Matt's in the middle, and Dan's on the right.
Does anyone know if they are coming out with a new album soon? Saw em at warped tour, they played a new song and it fuckin rocked. Im really looking forward to more.
Just came out with one a couple days ago.
@@djustinger He asked this 15 years ago 😂😂🤣
around 1:09-1:11 - mess up?
lol. they do. :*(
@thrubeingcool13 this is exactly what i thought haha.
actually, Alk3 plays at least every song once acoustic.
or join the bloodpact :p
I think I like "Fatally Yours" more than this one. Great fucking album all together.,
lol, someone hits a bad note at the very end there.
and?
sexual
@againstmatt1986 people should dress how they want to dress how they like I'd say, it's got nothing to do with the music
why does derek put his hand behind his back after he's played a chord
@KriZ0o google
s'wrong with wearing black???
Iv met and spent time with these guys to clear a little up Matt and Derek are not satanic worshipers they however do have a Church of Satan card each which you have to pay for and just signifies your interest in Anton Szandor LaVey and they as people are not emo these guys have to be the happiest people iv ever met just cause they wear black doesnt mean they are "emo". Was Johnny Cash an emo he was coined the man in black... appearances mean nothing emo has just become a derogatory team in punk!
im pretty sure the black under dereks eyes is do to with him being obsessed with the misfits, not to be 'emo' ...lol
@Blatdidat @againstmatt1986 I don't understand why bands need 'credibility' nor do I see how their appearance ruins an experience that should be about music and, if you're live, energy/performance.

HAHAHAH go to 2:27 and pause.
god is good/ jesus is real
this song has nothing to do with christianity
yeah deffinately and not only that they are pretty household names now its sad.
does nobody else even notice that he screws up the lyrics and says "of of the days" twice,
anybody remember when there was only 3 people in the band? haha...
it still is, their drummer can also play guitar
Dereck looks really morbid int his video.
matt cuts off virgins ears? lol jk
No, he doesn't.
yea mcr blows
probably cause he was going bald like matt but worse so just went the classy route. not that matt looks bad
gayyyyyyyyyyyyyy
3 emo guys playing a piece of wood
the other guy is alkaline trio's dummer
pretty meh.
