I like how he basically combined 2 different theories on 106's origin into 1, turning the Corporal Lawrence Theory, that he was a WW1 soldier that was traumatized by war into a hallucination and combined it with the Robert Scranton Theory, that he was a Researcher that was transformed into 106 in an experiment that went wrong as a way to cope with the isolation.

Not bashing the channel, but this story is not a creation of Bob; this origin story has been kicking around for a while. Again, not digging on Doc Bobbo; just clarifying he did not come up with this narrative. He just made awesome animation to grab our interest and get more people aware of it. .
Edit before it it gets pointed out, I reword to mention that yeah, he did come up with the characters in the story. The part I was speaking of, specifically was the 106 soldier origin part. The rest of the video is all Dr Bob original.

So ... While trapped within SCP-3001 and fighting an endless losing war against his own insanity, Dr. Scranton hallucinated the Corporal Laurence story and altered the pocket plane around him into an actual battlefield as his abilities as 106 began to manifest, creating a physical reflection of his own mental turmoil.
Somehow you've managed to combine the two most popular origin stories for 106 in a way that makes perfect sense (something I never would've thought of). Excellent work on this one!

Interesting. I’ve heard both of these origin stories for 106, but I’ve never seen them combined in such a way that actually makes a bit of sense. Scranton landed in a world between world, a universe that has yet to be born, and he in a way became the god of it. In this world even the slightest brain waves effected the environment, and this resulted in him created a whole new world, a world that took a mental war, and made it real. But In exchange for this power, his humanity and sanity were slowly drained, drop by drop, untill all that remained was the rotting corpse of what used to be a good man, a man that now had only 2 goals in mind. To make all feel the mental and physical pain that he experienced, and to finally, “reconnect” with his beloved wife. I like it.

It's basically a story about how isolation can cause delusions and/or a reality in your own head. To Dr. Bob I also really enjoy the flash transformation between Dr. Scranton/WW1 solider to the old man and back. Isolation can be scary, especially in The Twilight Zone.

Yo, the 3001 story has been one of my favourites for forever, not just in SCP but just in general, now it’s getting recognition via a 106 tie-in? Yes please

I've always liked the Scranton orgin, but this combo with the soldier was really good. Your animation and storytelling get better and better every video.

The reason I like you so much is that every character you voice, I feel come to life.... Albeit, shortly not living afterwards, for the most part. It reminds me of listening to books on tape. Looking forward to your continued research, Dr. Bob.

11:05 The animation and art style looks David Firth inspired. I haven’t seen the art style look this dark and creepy before. Well done!

I love what you've done here combining 2 different version of the origin unless I'm mistaken but I haven't heard both combined before nice work regardless love your content keep it coming

I loved who you have depicted 106 the story was a really nice combination of both the origin stories and also the other scps in this where amazing, 682 and 939 in this video were done really well and are probably my favourite design for them.

I love the story of The Red Reality and this video expanded my view on 106 and his origin. What I love tho is that you merge both the Scranton and the crazy soldier stories into one, making the Red Reality even darker than it was since it's no longer just a dark abyss where you just go mad till death but also a place where you can physically and mentally change even giving you dark abilities. I'd watch a movie about this exact story, with Dr. Scranton, Anna, The Old Man, the Mad soldier and the Red Reality.
