    Well worth the wait! Thank you for this lovely instructional video.- February is here and I hope to be patient enough not to sow my seeds too quickly as I am very keen on having these in my garden!

    Thanks so much for all the information; and beautifully modulated diction! Is it correct to understand from your video that Aquilegia from seeds do not flower in the first year? And that the root stock needs to be kept in the ground over winter? Would you have a similar video on Ranunculi?

    12 inches between, when I scatter them outside, that’s what I have to do!
    I saw little seedlings, I thought it was a weed!
    I have been covering my seeds, so that’s why they’re not doing well.
    Very nice.
    I will try to scatter seeds once they are dry the next fall or spring .

    Perfectly laid out instructions - thank you. I grew my columbine and it's now ready to plant in the ground. But it is late August. I wonder if I should plant them or over winter them in the house or the greenhouse? Any advice is appreciated. I am in Canada where the winters get to about 25 degrees F.

    • @LearnHow2

    Do you have to let them stay in the refrigerator for a week before sowing¿ also can I plant them now (November) indoors¿ I am new at gardening and overly excited to try them out

    Thanks for your great teaching! Just 1 question, please---During the germination, after you cover the tray with the plastic cover, no need to water everyday in those 21 or even more days before the sprouts coming out? It's missed or omitted in Step4.

    • @LearnHow2
      @LearnHow2  9 днів тому

      The plastic should trap the water and keep the soil moist. However if you think it is drying out then give it a fine mist spray as necessary.

    I have a question: when you were planting the Aquilegias in the garden I was intrigued by the small slab on top of bricks. May I ask what this is for. I thought perhaps hedgehog? Thank you for brilliant video.

    I have a question with step 4 .Do I need to keep the propagators closed 24/7 while waiting for the seed to germinate?or do i need to water the seed?

    • @LearnHow2
      @LearnHow2  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Emma. Keep the lid on until the seeds have germinated - it keeps heat and moisture in. Water only if top of soil looks dry. Keep safe.

But I was wondering if I can sow this fresh seed this July/Augst'23 to flower next year? Will that seed grow this year if I plant them now??? Could u plz answer? Would be great help. TIA. :)

      Generally aquilegia don’t flower in first year. Like in this vid. They would flower year 2. So if u sowed in summer it may flower next spring. Not sure - let us know
