Have you been to the Borghese museum in Rome? Just wondering how it compares to the Vatican . Might only have time to do one or the other
I prefer the Vatican museum
Well, as an italian, I can say that You got the point right. You understood that Italy has everything and a lot of everything. And Your way of explaining it, Your enthusiasm, makes it clear that.... You understand! 👍👏
The hardest thing about a trip to Italy, is deciding which town to go to!!! Every part of Italy looks so beautiful!!! Thank you for this video!! Your videos are a big help in planning our first trip in Sept. We were going to do Florence , Vico Equense, and Rome!!! If only we had more time to go to Lake Como, Genoa, Puglia, Sicily.....the possibilities are endless!!!
It really is!
I love everything about Italy! Just got back from my third trip, with revisits to Florence and Venice and new visits to Genoa and Camogli! I still want to explore the region of Puglia and of course, Sicily!
This is the perfect channel for Italy's lovers.
oh yes!!!!!
Finally a very serious and competent and easy video that explains Italy. It’s not obvious to describe my country, people needs to study our history before to came to visit. You helped a lot, thank you.🤗
Great video as always Gregor. We first went to Italy it was for our 25th wedding anniversary (we are back in Rome later this year for our 38th wedding anniversary) and like you fell in love with the country. Rome, Florence, Venice, Naples and Sorrento all visited. We love the people who are so friendly which is why I learnt the language, we love the food, wine scenery history. Travel is so good especially the trains. We simply love Italy.
Peter, you've hit the nail on the head! 👍 You're absolutely right. It's a smart decision to go back and visit again for your anniversary. ✈️ It's a great place to travel and it's such a romantic country. 😍
Love your optimism and
bubbly personality. Grazie!❤️🇮🇹❤️
Thank you so much!!
I love Italy for all the reasons you mentioned! Am coming back with my daughters in September. We can't wait! Thanks xx
they will remember the trip for ever, good stuff, Patrizia!
Yes, Sicily!!! Also All of Italy as well too!! 😉 🇮🇹
We are 3 weeks out from our 6th trip to Italy:Milano, Firenze, Turino, Genova. We are most excited for our day trips, Lake Maggiore and Montepulciano especially!
Sounds great! Happy this content helps you, Joe!
@@GregorBrown Always does, you are also a great story teller and your videography is amazing!
@@joecowan3719 Great wine in Montepulciano!!!! Salute🍷
@@gabrielesantucci6189 Grazie! We have a tasting set up at the Gattavecchi Winery, but I am sure we may have to sample a little more afterwards 🥂!
@@joecowan3719🥂👍😉
My dood, I made Italy come to me last night. We made amatriciana that finally tasted like Rome!
Perfect. That's what I'm taking about!
well done. I'm Italian and living here. My English is terrible and I see this kind of videos for learn more about how speak.
At last a rewiev of my country sincere, without prejudice in the best or the bad way.
You have a signed more.
H from the Varese county
Looks like a good one!
thanks!
As an italian I appreciate your enthusiasm and knowledge about our country. Living here is not always so great...
Wow, what news: life can be tough IN ITALY TOO!
You are really smart, thank you LOL
I'm going to Italy for 2 weeks next month. Since you asked what I'm most excited to see, there are two things. Firstly, I'm really excited to go to Volterra and see the Etruscan ruins and how the city evolved over the course of thousands of years. Secondly, I'm really excited to go to Dario Cecchini's butcher shop and "see" how much steak I can eat without throwing up.
Go to San Giminiano and Monteriggioni!
@@alessandroroveda2859 We're staying at an Agriturismo 15 minutes away from San Gimignano and I've already got our tickets to go to the Civic Museum and to climb Torre Grossa. I'm also very interested in going to Monteriggioni, partially for the history but, honestly, mostly because I loved AC2 back in the day and I've always wanted to go to Monteriggioni since then. But yeah, both are on the list.
Panzano is a beautiful little town surrounded by vineyards, and the experience of going there for the butcher is almost as good as the steak itself! 🥩🍷
great video, complimenti
Thanks
Gregor. Love your videos and this one makes me run back to Italy. What can I say ! Your enthusiasm is contagious 🤩Got your Travel Tips guide book. Love it! Thank you for what you do Sir. And like you I love Puglia . So much so I purchased a little place there even before visiting in person.
Awesome! Thank you! wow. Update me on the place you bought, that sounds magical. In which town?
Vieni sul Lago di Garda in provincia di Brescia e vedrai quanto è bello il mio lago. Buon viaggio
The country with the most UNESCO sites in the world with one of the most famous cuisines in the world and a huge variety of food and wine products, with a landscape that goes from mountains to lakes to the sea, what more do you want?
Wow....at the seconds 0.15 ....it's Tellaro in Liguria Region.....really really Wonderfull, especially in September/October with very few tourists and You can go to the seaside and.....the beaches are all for You .
good eye. yeah, so many hidden gems.
Thanks mate
Any time!
Ciao! Awesome series on Puglia region! Planning trip mid September & I was pleased to see that in you did swim & took a boat in October so September should be perfect? do you recommend Bari as a base for all the cities you covered? And I will include lecce since train 🚆 gets there. Grazie!
You never know what the weather but I hope it is good for you. And if you have a car, you could consider some smaller towns in the countryside like I did or move around for different nights otherwise Bari is a good option.
Greg...I am ready to move to Italy from the USA. I have dual citizenship. I speak the language and I have been to Italy many times. There are so many beautiful places, I can't make up my mind where to live. I'm thinking Tuscany, Umbria, or Lazio. Would like to live in a small town near a metropolis. Any ideas! Thanks. ❤️🇮🇹❤️ 11:15
All of those regions are great, and it really depends on what you’re after. My suggestion would be to stay in an Airbnb for six months before you decide to rent or buy.
If I may, I recommend you take a look in the Lake Garda area (Desenzano etc.). It's a wonderful area, very "Italian style" and you have everything close by (airports, cities, amusement parks, etc.). You're at the lake but you're two hours from the sea. It is a "second homeland" for the Dutch and Germans, the Americans should start to get to know it.
@ProfumoDiSanremo It is definitely a beautiful area that I was just there a month ago but it is crowded and prices are pretty high there. But definitely, the Lakeside is stunning and plenty of great little café spots.
@@GregorBrown Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your point of view) all of Italy is very touristy and where there is tourism there is a bit of "speculation".
The only thing that's not great about Italy is the swarms of tourists. But there are so many wonderful places to go that you can easily avoid the tourists if you're not worried about seeing all the famous attractions.
yes, you can find spots with good planning. Well said!
What do I wanna see when I visit Italy? Gregor Brown that's who, that's guy is the BEST!!
You're the best! Thanks! One day I'll have a meet up :)
How were you able to emigrate to Italy? Do you have dual citizenship? Anyway, I loved all the points you made in this video. I'd add one more. Italy has the sort of vibe the US had 50 years ago. It's so safe and there is a sense of community that you don't easily find in the US anymore. I feel like my kids are growing up here the same way I did back in 1970s Massachusetts.
It's changing here too, but it's still a great place. I moved over on a short visa, stayed, stayed and stayed. (I should probably leave at some point!)
@@GregorBrown No matter how hard you try to get out they always pull you back in!
@HiddenItalyTravel "the vibe that the US had 50 years ago"???? Hey ...do you think that in italy we are still in the 70s????? Come on please... the 70s are over in italy too and now we are in 2024, didn't you know? My god ...the americans!!!🤦♂️😂😂😂🇮🇹
@@gabrielesantucci6189 You're misunderstanding me too. I meant that my kids are far more independent here in Italy than American kids of the same age are in the way that I was independent when I was a kid. Here they can ride their bikes around and I feel ok because people are looking out, we know all our neighbors, and I don't feel anxious about them being out on their own. In the US we barely knew our neighbors, kids are not out on their own until they are in their teen years, and there is always a concern they will get into trouble. Unless you have lived in both countries like I have, you won't truly understand how wonderful it is here in that regard. I don't mean that Italy is not as developed as the US at all. On the contrary, I feel like there are many ways that Italy is past the US.
I apologize with you if i misunderstood your conment. However...it's not exactly safe even in italy to leave children alone on the street. Obviously it's different if in a big city or in a small town. Unfortunately, even here , things have changed a lot and children usually not left alone on the streets...not anymore. Ciao😉👍

If you like Florence you will far prefer Krakow!!
can you give me some tips? I am going there Wednesday, I think. :)
In what terms?Florence has arts and culture, beauty and history that krakow can only dream of!nevermind the weather.
