I was just thinking the other day of archiving my Kindle collection in this matter. But Amazon has lots of tricky DRM and I think it would be too much hassle. But yes. A great use-case!
so i currently use a NAS but would love to be able to back them up to a blueray. Would you recommend something that also cross references checksums to prevent bit rot. I like the idea once it's backed up it's pretty hard to get it ransomware'd due to ReadOnly
I backup all my epub books onto DVD-RW and that's fine. It's cheap and I can make multiple copies. 4.4GB stores 1222 books.

A new scientific paper has achieved to build a 1 Petabit disc. If they really emerge into the marker, they will be a truly game changer.
I use a software program called Rewind on the Mac and Pc it Backup using 25Gb Blu-Ray Disc up to 100Gb and can span more then one Disc.
