Wow. That one was truly epic. It does look like you had a very special A.T. hike like few have experienced in the last 15 years. And your videos have a very good vibe. I am impressed!
I really like this episode. I spent my coldest night was at Gooch Gap Shelter. Minus 17. This is the stretch of trail I have spent the most time on. I first hiked here in 1978. I spent time at Carvers Gap just three weeks ago. All good memories. I spent my second coldest night in the Roan High Knob Shelter. Minus 10! I feel your experience!
He girl, you give new meaning to the words "True Grit." You have what it takes. I admire you for all that you are doing and on your own at that. You are a wonderful role model for a lot of people. Stick to your plan.
I was hiking around Erwin at that time and the weather was fine. What a difference 2500 feet makes! Your beautiful smile and positive attitude make your videos a joy to watch.
Just binge-watched your trip. I'm so glad you could get back on the trail after the virus. It was great reliving some memories of last year in your videos. Glad you got to visit The Station. It was one of my favorite hostels. Keep them coming, and hike on!
First of all, Roan Mtn. was snowy, cold, and beautiful when i passed thru in 2017. Thank you, thank you, thank you for having your videos up for us folks on covid watch! It means so much to me that someone [you] has the desire to get out and enjoy a thruhike. I'm back on to another attempt in 2021. Your vlogs and others keep me juiced up. I wish you health and steady stepping throughout your experience. ✌
Just started watching you journey, if you have not figured out what those umbrella looking plants are they are Mayapples and will soon get a white flower on them
Wind, wow, I think my highest wind hiking was on Big Bald, near that double decker shelter. Real high winds and almost white out, blizzard conditions. I hope you had a safe hike down to 19E.
You may know but, on average, you lose 3.5 degrees F for every 1000 ft elevation gain. Looks like another cold front will pass through this weekend which will likely drop temps below freezing at around 4000-5000 ft of elevation. How's your Nemo tent working for you in the rain and snow?

Just loved seeing you on top of the mountain spinning around in the crazy high wind loving life. Very inspiring stuff.

Yes I’m starting to see the flower on them!
I was happy to be part of this part of your hike.
Aww Chessa, I loved hiking with you! I hope our paths cross again on trail!
First smart hiker (vlogger) to explain to viewer to change playback setting for crisp viewing. I like that ..and your video is awesome.

The nemo is doing alright. It gets wet through the floor sometimes, but I haven’t been totally soaked yet.
That is something with the snow. Cold winds .
I wonder how you can even prepare.
I so hope it gets better for you

Your doing great, keep at it. Be well, Terry.
