It is interesting to see where in Australia there is a similar deciduous forest climate to what you can find on the East Coast of the United States. It is interesting how in Australia, fall foliage season occurs around Easter.
Yeah it's only basically on our east coast too. I remember in school history classes that the 1st English settlers originally having issues with crops as they based it on northern hemisphere seasons.
I'm a photographer what is the best time to visit Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens in late April or Early May? I love to capture those beautiful red and orange leaves, like ginkgo tree dropping those yellow leaves and red leaves on those trees. I'm thinking of going here on the 21st April, I've seen on your video it says 5th May which shows a lot more colours of red and yellow. Which dates do you recommend? Thanks
Mother nature is not exactly the same every year, so it may not be quite the same on said dates. Not sure how flexible you are on dates. If you could try both dates just in case it's not perfect on your 1st attempt.
@@FindingParadise im looking for autumn leaves .im new to Melbourne. Can't wait to see them till next year . Can i see any few of them if i go in 2 days?
Hi there! I'm an amateur blogger/vlogger based in Melbourne. I'm currently working on a series about my favourite day trips from Melbourne, including Mt Macedon! I would love to go to Mt Macedon now to film the autumn colours, but of course due to the lockdown I can't travel :( I'm planning to go back to Mt Macedon to film some time after the lockdown finishes, but by then it will be winter. Of course, this means I will miss the autumn colours :( I came across your video about autumn at various locations, and I was wondering if you would be interested/able to share a bit of footage from it? I'm looking for about 10 seconds of footage, and I'd give you full credit of course, including shoutouts on social media if you like, when I get to publish it. It would be to complement my vlog about Mt Macedon in winter, but to make mention of the spectacular autumn season. It's not for profit, it's simply a personal video blog which I have been working on over the past few years - you can see my work at ua-cam.com/users/urbanduniya if you're interested. I totally understand if you'd prefer not to, but just thought I'd drop you a line and take my chances! Kind regards, Tim
Hi Tim, Thanks for your message. Actually I'm actually stuck in the Philippines in their lockdown. I don't know how long I'll be stuck. All my footage is on my hard drive back in Australia. Sorry mate. Keep safe. Rob

It's good to go anytime of year. But if you're looking for autumn colours it's past the peak time.

I've not visited then, I'd say there would be very little left if any. The place is beautiful anyhow.

@@FindingParadise Ahh that's ok - thanks anyway, and I hope you're coping ok over there!
Thanks, you also. Cheers
This is weird to me, knowing it's April or May and y'all got colored and dead leaves. It's green as can be here
We are down under and things are opposite! The first settlers here had some issues with opposite seasons!
