Hello, going there over Memorial Day, so you say the South Parking Lot is the best spot to park and get the most out of the hike?
Looks like you both had a great time!

I think both would be incredible, just from different vantage points. It depends on if you want to do the early wake up call or not!

Started to watch this but stopped when you started complaining about the no drones sign. You may not agree with rules but you need to follow them; appreciate it if you kept your opinion to yourself. I also fly a drone, and I respect the rules in Colorado when they say no drones. There is a reason, same one that no longer allows pets and horses. This area is a fragile environment and is easily damaged. The more people abuse it, the less likely it will be open to the public. There are discussions even now about closing the park or restricting access to it to preserve it. I don't want that, but the only way to keep it open is for everyone to be respectful and follow the rules set in place to preserve it. Btw, yes you can fly the drone outside the perimeter of the park, just so long as you don't fly within it.

Well as you probably noticed, there is no drone footage here, so I respected it nonetheless. Plenty of people have flown their drones here, which I disagree with. I like to think that I was just bummed that I couldn't, but wasn't 'complaining.' I respect this rule everywhere we hike, because I agree with you - those that don't follow the rules ruin it for the rest of us. Sad to hear about the park potentially being restricted. Hopefully you can give the channel another chance

@@KevinEassa Sincere apologies. I should have reviewed further into the video. I, too, am disappointed in the restrictions in many places in Colorado; I see many tourists come in and enjoy the natural beauty of Colorado, but they often disrespect the environment and cause the adverse reactions we see from the park services. Thank you for respecting this awesome place. it is quite beautiful but quite fragile too. I am reminded of my time living in the Mojave Desert (during my latter Army career) and how absolutely stunning it could be there, but also how extremely fragile that ecosystem was. We were all taught to have absolute respect for the creatures and plant life there and to preserve as much as possible while still training to defend the nation.
