- Another hike I've always wanted to do but passed on since it's so far away... till today! Took the long drive to Kaena point to hit that long hot trail... And it almost killed me !! it was so hot, even tho I had on a hat and a ton of water, i was getting heat exhaustion! By time I reached the fence, I was dying.. Idea when doing this hike is go on cloudy or rainy day!! One our way to the point, I was almost blacking out...and drinking a hot coke didnt help any haha. still fun hike that I will do again when its cooler! so many views and things to check out! Bunkers, tunnels, caves, pukas, heart shaped water hole thingys, you name it!

Anymore bunkers at the top top? My husband wants to go further, but I was drained halfway from the start so I didn't feel like going up there.
Think further up is the military parts where you get in trouble if u go there! i was thinking of going up and just walking back down the road but didnt wanna get arrested!

Seriously ? I believe it, one day I was riding my mountain bike and stop to take some photos and next thing you know an apache helicopter loaded pass over my head so close I veered off and almost got hit by a bus...true story. Happened about 8 months ago.
