If $65 becomes to new norm for 4k steels and $40 becomes the standard slip 4k price they will kill the entire market. I for one will not pay those stupid prices. I will pay up for stuff but not for the average release. Greed will end physical media.
@@davidgolden1726 Especially on limited releases, for example before umbrella released the one up version the pre-order for super mario bros trust the fungus edition was $100+shipping and then on ebay once released and sold out the price hiked up to $1,000 some we're $800 but mainly $1,000 its insane
Well ken u better watch out, better not cry, move your elm street sign in middle of your collection on top, make room for the massive never ending story 4k 😂set!!!!
Sorry for separated comments, I was reading while commenting, Some of disney's newer tv shows are coming out and have been released they just release them as 4's at a time usually, a new one is mandelorean season 3 and loki season 2 but sadly they are only getting steelbooks so if you want it you're gonna have to pay for it, a bluray steel book and a 4k steel book separate releases of course.
If we are saying “The Witch” is the most favored witch movie, then I’ll have to say “Hereditary” is a close 2nd. That is so atmospheric and chilling movie I have ever seen. ****My favorite guilty pleasure is “Drive Angry”. Nick Cage has a line while he’s getting it on; “I never take my clothes off when I’m making love, because I always have to be ready for a fight”
You mentioned Gruv packaging. I think they have changed (at least for me). My last several shipments have been in envelope packages and NOT boxes like they used to. Even my latest order (6 movies) did not come in box. So they have been cutting corners.
Comment about budgeting and spending on physical media. This and some PC gaming are my hobbies. I don't smoke or drink. We don't go out to eat or the cinema. My wife and I are pretty frugal on day to day spending. This allows us to enjoy our hobbies without worrying about the money.
My top 4K I want is Titan A.E. My favorite animated movie. It never got a BD release. Would love to see Disney license it to Shout or Arrow for a proper treatment.
The UK and European steelbook also contains a bluray, so it's a 2-disc set. Still waiting for mine to arrive, so not sure yet if the finish is any different...
Some of Umbrella's are region locked to region B, Masters of the Universe being one of the region locked ones, was confirmed to me by umbrella staff in an email, on the upside umbrella staff did tell me their goal is to make all releases region free but unable to due to movie's studios not allowing a region free release, I was looking forward to the masters of the universe release as its a good movie at least in my opinion and was made the year I was born so this release was a special treat unfortunately it was region locked to b so I got refunded as I don't have a region free bluray player.
@@midlevelmedia Which player did you put it in?, If computer that's why it played, The site confirms its region b locked as does their posts on facebook and the staff themselves in an email to me when I questioned them about it.
Even though the boxes on stigmata, lord of illusions and tank girl all say region b they are all region free which I confirmed with a staff member through email about them being region free before I bought them but as for masters of the universe it was confirmed as region b locked multiple times so if it plays on a regular bluray player that's not your pc drive you got a rare disc as the first disc's we're region free which means they likely forgot to swap out the region disc with your set disc making it rare if that's the case, forgot to mention Super Mario Bros Trust the fungus is also region free even though the box and bluray case doesn't state a region which is kind of weird but I guess it was rushed production.
@@FreeJohnDoe2006 It’s not rare. I’ve confirmed with several others that bought it as well. All were Region free. I’m telling you dude, Umbrella was wrong.
Get outta here $65 for WILLOW Steebook 😂.....that thin Tin scratches easily and weigh a ton on your shelf. I mostly go slip cover only. Prices will go down, there is too much Hysteria out there..... Just wait for discounts price goes down and just get Standard releases .....dont fall for the Disney BS🎉

A Jim Varney Collection with all new 4k scans! 🥰😊
Would love that, all ernest movies, shorts etc
How the grinch stole Christmas 4k comes with 3 other short films! So it’s 4 shows total!
If 2025 is most expensive year for physical media I better buy another house first. 😮going to run out room!
Do you think Miracle on 34th Street is a Thanksgiving movie ? 🤔 I mean, it opens on Thanksgiving at the Macy's parade . 🤷♂️

Live Free and Die Hard and The Bourne Ultimatum were both 2007 action movies.

Maybe original Star Wars trilogy unadulterated versions? Too optimistic?

I’ve been wondering ever since I started watching you, where did you get that riff at the beginning of the show?
I can't wait to get my Neverending Story preorder!
I would like box set of all Ernest movies from arrow video!! I would buy that for $1😂🎉
I still have the original Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer VHS. As for 4K I have the Turbine edition.

People talk about apps for cataloging movie collections. I have never tried any. I am old-school and have a spreadsheet for mine. LOL
