Best female version by far, I like it as much as the masters version, Nat King Cole. Few have voices to compare and Celine is the best out there today.
Songs can be sung and reinterpreted for as many different artists there are out there. Some people, myself included, love Celine's rendition. Please stop saying she sings it "wrong". There's no wrong or right way. Just the way we are used to or enjoy hearing it.
"Nature Boy" There was a boy A very strange, enchanted boy They say he wandered very far Very far, over land and sea A little shy and sad of eye But very wise was he And then one day, One magic day he passed my way While we spoke of many things Fools and Kings This he said to me: "The greatest thing you'll ever learn Is just to love and be loved in return". "The greatest thing you'll ever learn Is just to love and be loved in return". [Instrumental] "The greatest thing you'll ever learn Is just to love and be loved in return".
Too bad it clipped at the end. Her song endings are some of the best parts. I think she is fabulous, but that's just me, to each his own. You enjoy who like.
una perfecta canción, multiversionada, requiere de una voz y sentimiento especial, no es mi artista preferida, pero su voz es buena, y la versión aceptable, es suficiente que la haya elegido , felicidades!!
Celine's rendition of this was spot on. She understood what the song was about & interpreted it beautifully. I'm glad she covered it before she developed Stiff Person Syndrome.
Does a singing voice has to have a standard? She sings just fine. It's just the taste. You don't like her singing it doesn't mean she can't sing. For many, she's a good singer with a powerful singing voice.

I know that there is: NO way that I can put this version or Nat King Cole's version as my #1 favorite. They BOTH take the work & make it their own. That is the skill as artists. (George Alexander Aberle should get some credit here . Was he not the author of this song?)
Please! I find it the better version after Nat Cole. But the last part is cutted, a really pity since there's not other record from Celine's in UA-cam.
Love Celine always and the pianist is gifted but the piano is too loud, the song got lost in translation. By the second time Celine gave it socks, it was too late unfortunately. But just my opinion.
Awful rendition of a great song. Her singing was pretentious and, I would go so far as to say, egotistical. They destroyed the bridge by changing the melody, making it more sweet, I'm guessing, with the intent of making it more appealing to a wider audience. Sad.
I totally disagree. I'm not going into comparisons with Nat King Cole as that's unfair but I think Celine's voice is perfect for this song. It's clean, clear and soulful. I generally don't like her style but her voice is impecable.
This is an abominable version of this beautiful song. Celine took the heart and soul right out of it and has made it an annoying background noise, like a gnat buzzing. She changed the lovely, soft piano of Nat King Cole's version and set her moaning voice to some nondescript elevator music. Zero talent. The most overrated female singer on a par with the equally atrocious Taylor Swift. Nat is rolling in his grave right now.
The best version ever for this song!!! Great Céline
Celine Dion's voice is phenomenal
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return......"
The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return,
its true
Best female version by far, I like it as much as the masters version, Nat King Cole. Few have voices to compare and Celine is the best out there today.
The piano accompaniment❤❤❤
What a great message to this great song from 1948. All any human is looking for is just to love and be loved unconditionally I might add.
what a beautiful and haunting melody. Celine Dion's version is lovely.
Love the "soulful" sounding tunes!!!
Beautiful voice, beautiful song.

Jolene8 ナットコール
it’s wrong. No emotion.
@@johngablesmith4671She sings with emotions yes.
I think she does a lovely version and I also love Nat King Cole 🎶 🎶 Both are beautiful
MARAVILLOSA, THE BEST SONG, WITH HEART AND SOUL, AND GREAT VOICE, OH CELINE DION, THE GREAT VOICE AND FEELING.!!!
L'une des meilleures interprétations de cette chanson (1947) maintes fois reprise.
LOVE HER VERSION SO MUCH
Beautiful song, no matter who sings it!!
Maravillosa interpretación!😊
Here from Moulin Rouge... Anyway.. This song ALWAYS gives me the chills... But the way she did it, was so beautiful(:
celine u lucky girl , u had this kinda love...sorry for ur loss
Lindíssima! Perfeitos!!!!
Te amo!!
One of my favorite songs. She sang it perfectly. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤C for K. 9/16/2023 Saturday at 2:30 pm EST.
Jesus it gives me the chills
Jesus, gives me the chills! This song reminds me of my relationship with Him🌝🙏🏽
It cuts out in the end. So upsetting because I think this is the best cover ever!
"Nature Boy"
There was a boy
A very strange, enchanted boy
They say he wandered very far
Very far, over land and sea
A little shy and sad of eye
But very wise was he
And then one day,
One magic day he passed my way
While we spoke of many things
Fools and Kings
This he said to me:
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return".
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return".
[Instrumental]
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return".
It is rare that I can stand, much less recommend any of her songs. This is exceptional.
MARAVILLOSA
Been looking for this song so long. Now in February 2021 I finally find it
im really adore that song ,thx
great
She definitely put her Celine mark on it!
I don´t know if cher is better or not, but this song is so beautiful ...so beautiful...
Too bad it clipped at the end. Her song endings are some of the best parts. I think she is fabulous, but that's just me, to each his own. You enjoy who like.
1:39 sounds gorgeous!!!!!
chills.
Camille Victoria Vegp.
NAT KING COLE (IS THE BEST WITH THIS SONG) ALSO THE FIRST TO RECORD IT BACK
IN 1947 I BELIEVE (NATURE BOY)..........................
Celine's rendition of this was spot on. She understood what the song was about & interpreted it beautifully. I'm glad she covered it before she developed Stiff Person Syndrome.
This version is my favorite, personally.
I had no idea Celiene did this song, nor did I know Cher recorded it. eden ahbez was my great uncle, brother to my paternal grandfather.
I feel it describes Peter Pan!
amazing
@ Drjisra... Thank you so much, dear... Couldn´t find this Version till now... Isn´t it awesome..?!
Celine is always great whatever she sings but NAT was in a different league.
kewl

@chorister88 in the first half i didn't much agree with you about the pop...but in the second half i totaly agreed
Sound cut off before end😔
Please! I find it the better version after Nat Cole. But the last part is cutted, a really pity since there's not other record from Celine's in UA-cam.
На Ютубе есть ещё одна версия.
Celine dionI
I prefer Moulin Rouge's version :3
shame it cuts out nr the end
Gandalf - Nature boy
The Gandalf version is my favorite! (Dont look at my profile picture it's not my account)
my favorite version too! ^^
Love Celine always and the pianist is gifted but the piano is too loud, the song got lost in translation. By the second time Celine gave it socks, it was too late unfortunately. But just my opinion.
Whom sang this?
She has nice pipes, but sad to say, she cannot reproduce the sweetness that Nat himself had in his voice.
Céline is better
Ohh... this is not a Primus cover? Damnit!
I prefer this accompaniment over Nat Cole’s. Great vocal by him, but heavy handed string section.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE BEST IS GANDALF'S VERSION!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what..no return):
No its not..its for ROMANTICS...which you are obvoulsy NOT.....we are what we are :)
Who?
LE PIANO 🎹 JOUE TROP FORT !!!!! 📣 il n'a pas le bon son 🎼🎵🎶 pour céline 💎💎💎!! DOMMAGE 🤨😏 ce qui est somptueux 🌹🌻🌷 devient désagréable !!! ♠🔕📣
why?
Best out there today?????????? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Ever heard of a gal named Vanessa Williams? Just to name 1.
Yes, she can. Are you deaf?
Almost too loud on the piano...
Her vocalist it not for this song.. Buy she tried.
hmmmm... i think this song needs a little deeper singer voice.....
@otanygirl Cher sang this song, too.!
So much better.!
its not jazzy...too much pop..jazz is not just about technuiqe
...Cher? How about Nat King Cole?!
@nachoalaniz Cher is most definitely NOT better...
Kurt Elling is much-much better for this song.
It is not appealing, it does not clog,
Does not clog? Wtf does that even mean?
Cher sings better Celine
why are you so envied??? Céline is better than your whole life lol
Awful rendition of a great song. Her singing was pretentious and, I would go so far as to say, egotistical. They destroyed the bridge by changing the melody, making it more sweet, I'm guessing, with the intent of making it more appealing to a wider audience. Sad.
Wrong! it describes Satan.
Bad performans and wrong notes actually :-(
But she DOES sing it wrong. None of the melancholy sweetness that Nat had. She has always been a mediocre singer at best and she destroys this song.
I totally disagree. I'm not going into comparisons with Nat King Cole as that's unfair but I think Celine's voice is perfect for this song. It's clean, clear and soulful. I generally don't like her style but her voice is impecable.
You're just envious of her talent! You cannot take it away from her.
Eva Bella mediocre?? Please.
No my hearing works fine. It's why i KNOW she makes a good attempt at singing. But fails somewhat. Voice sounds fake as ----!
This is an abominable version of this beautiful song. Celine took the heart and soul right out of it and has made it an annoying background noise, like a gnat buzzing. She changed the lovely, soft piano of Nat King Cole's version and set her moaning voice to some nondescript elevator music. Zero talent. This version and cher's version are the most uninspired trash. Gandalf 1969. Take more LSD.
Not as pathetic as i thought it would be...but pathetic non the less.
Nat King Cole OWNS all of these new trash artists.
New trash artist? Celine has been performing her art, as a famous singer, for almost 40 years.
1:39 sounds gorgeous!!!
