I sold rx 5700 for $1200 a month ago and waiting for the prices to drop on the gtx 3070 ti. As of day they are down to $1500, but I'm might wait alittle longer to see if the rumours are true regarding upgraded versions being released.
I was sorely tempted to sell my rx 5700 (bout for $350 in 2019, still $400 as of now) but then I'd be with no video card and it is high enough spec that I can't justify getting a $600 30xx series yet. I have a friends machine that I need to upgrade from a 650ti boost, so that is getting a 3060 or better next month, depending on card prices note: the 650ti is actually running in a streaming rig. a PNGtuber rig, but still streaming low load games like Minecraft. after GPU upgrade either 2d or 3d model and higher tier games
Where is 3080Ti? It should easily replace 3090, as a 30% cheaper option, with almost same performance. When OC'd it beats 3090. Disappointed my card isnt here :S
@@baselthebeast i have watched it the 6700 beat it in quite a few titles and arguably the most popular ones at that....it was able to play fc6 with the texture pack enabled when the 3060ti rendered it unplayable. The 3060ti did have its advantages and it was very close when it lost (it was by no means a blowout). The biggest advantage being the price and some small 4k performance which neither gpu is marketed for. So it does beat it in a lot of aspects and not in others it also beats 3070 in some games. its supposed to be inbetween the two (which it kind of is) 3060ti is still a beast by all means though

If you’re gung-ho on Nvidia like most people (myself included), I’d buy the 3060ti if you’d like solid performance at a “lower” cost. If you don’t mind spending the money, go for the 3080.
I'm in the same boat, is it worth saving the $200 bucks - feel like you might aswell just build better you won't regret it in the long run. This is what I'm thinking
Depends what your other components are. If you have a fairly modern high end CPU and do not mind buying a 3080, that will deliver you high refresh rate gaming (talking about achieving the 300+ FPS). If you have a good CPU, buy the 3070. Your CPU plays a vital role in 1080p gaming, so match your GPU towards your CPU/monitor configuration
@@dactz7924 Depends on what resolution you play on. You have a flagship GPU and high end CPU, so you should have no problem achieving high frames. Let's say you have a 280+ Hz 1080p monitor, you will more than likely hit that refresh rate. The higher the resolution you go, the less your CPU matters and is dependent on your GPU/games optimization. So, 1440p will easily be able to hit near high refresh rate gaming (240Hz), and 4k is always a hit or miss but more than likely you'll be able to get decent frames. Plus, you have DLSS as an option
