It makes me beyond happy that you watched Aki's video. I think she did really great and I'm so proud for her like a mama lol. Also you right. Some of my best meals came out of having fun experimenting.
My little sister is lactose intolerant and she told one of her friends while they were in the kitchen so her friend goes "Oh, I'm so sorry you can't eat cheese". My sister just looked at her and said "Why are you sorry? You think that's gonna stop me from eating cheese? I will suffer to eat some cheese. I ate 27 slices of cheese today alone and I'm not stopping there." And she fucking did too lmfao
Only about 40% of the population can actually digest lactose, it is mostly in Europe and North America. Sadly, Asia, and other parts of the world are the 60% of people who cannot.
Aki: I feel bad for people who are lactose intolerant, cheese is amazing! Me, who is definitely lactose intolerant: haha FOOL! As if that could stop me from enjoying cheese!!!
Literally, my other half is lactose intolerant and before we got together he thought everyone just had constant stomach ache, I was like hell no jfc let's get you some dairy free alternatives. He literally still eats a pint of ice cream without hesitation though 🤣🤣🤣
This reminds me of Food Wars S5 where they actually had to make a gourmet dish from items you get from a convenience store and the judge would literally pay you for what they think it's worth 😍
just cause we’re lactose intolerant, doesn’t mean that stops us from eating milk products xD. literally every lactose intolerant person you will meet (unless they’re deathly allergic) will have eaten cheese at least once recently lol
Well cheese is ok because the lactose in them has been diluted by then. But regular milk and regular ice cream would still decimate me without my lactase pills.

You're so lucky, 7-Eleven in Japan looks so much healthier and has affordable healthy food options. I'm in USA, 7-Eleven is close to me but there's lots of junk food, along with cup noodles or bowl noodles, slurrpee drinks, precooked hotdogs and wraps, and most lunch food there are pre-prepared in plastic containers, but since I live in a city, lot of those food I consider as junk-snack or quick lunch, not something I can cook for dinner, and they're also pretty expensive. I have to go to a food stores like Market Basket, Trader's Joe, etc. to buy ingredients to cook for healthy lunch/dinner. I'd love to cook dinner for $3 as mentioned in the video. I say 7-Eleven in Japan has more healthier food options than in my area lol.
For the spinach purée, I advise adding a tad bit of milk or cream cheese in the blender before mixing it. It will give a great smooth texture, without making it liquid. *EDIT: These two are just adorable. Thank you Aki, I got to try this omg that was super yummy. I just boil potatoe chips to make mashed potatoes. Idk if it's a culture thing or factory thing but the prosciutto I got was big enough to wrap the chicken (I'm in the USA) for cheese I used cheese curds. Honestly, this reminded me of a scene in the movie Weathering with you when Hodaka went to Hina's house and then Hina asked him if he has eaten yet and he said no. Then Hina noticed there was some food he brought from the convenient store so she asked him if she could use some of it to make lunch for both of them. The meal surprisingly turned out to be really good.

Hey Aki, love the content, been watching you for idk how long already. Here are some tips to enhance your dish a little: 1. The blended spinach is only clumpy because you have no medium to carry and smoothen it. What you can do is add a little liquid like cream, gives it a nice contrast in color and consistency since you stuffed the chicken with spinach as well! 2. You just made a little oopsie on the presentation because no one usually does things differently for home but what do you is shift the main part (potato + chicken) more into the center (not directly into the center!) and serve the purreed spinach as a crescent arc. 3. If you had smaller tomatoes, you would get a beautiful color contrast for your dish while not overly fill your plate! Cut them in half or quarters and arrange with the spinach puree to make it a beautiful, alternating pattern!
I absolutely love this video, and would very much enjoy it if Aki did more videos like this!! Not to mention Joey and Aki are so sweet together it warms my heart!
A technique I've seen chefs use for dishes that are wrapped (like beef wellington) is to wrap up the thing you're wrapping in meat or whatever you're using, with plastic food wrap and then twist the ends like a taffy candy and make it as tight as you can. Then they leave it in the fridge for about 10 minutes to chill and then you take it out and bake it (or however the recipe says to cook it) after you unwrap it. I hope this helps if you make a dish that needs this in the future! I'd love to see more cooking from you Aki! I think people would like it a lot!

@@Psykitty96 more like ham. Pancetta is more like bacon. They're both expensive here in the u.s. but I love prosciutto so much I'll spend that little extra because I know it'll make a huge difference to my dish.
i think its amazing that i basically grew up with aki 🥺 ive been watching her content for so long now, maybe 6 or 5 years already
i dont know how to cook and for that reason i respect people that cook... i would starve to death😅😂
Aki when you're recooking something that's already steamed it's better to cook it on low. So it doesn't burn and everything cooks. Sometimes when you recook something on high the outside is cooked but the middle isnt.

AHAHA I SEE AKI BINGING ON THE POTATOES AFTER SHE FOUND OUT IT CAN TURN INTO MASHED POTATOES
I love both of them, they're just so natural.
