Ton of good information man. I like the look of those underspins. I also like that feather treble with the blade, seems like it could have some cool uses!
Thanks man. I love my underspins.
I can’t stop looking over your shoulder at the water level in the lake you’re in.
Great video!
LOL. They drop'em during the winter pretty hard around here.
The underspin is what sets your bait apart from the thousands of other baitfish in the water when they are schooling. Very effective
Yup but another trick I like even more than that when fishing around big schools of shad is to use a larger swimbait than the size of the shad. It gets the big bites.
Nice. Gonna order me some Ledgeheads. Thank you for the BassGeek sticker.
Anytime and thank you!
I like that idea of using those bladed treble hooks. That seems to be a stellar idea that I'm gonna try next time I throw one
it's great on the ledges and when they are chasing.
Playing catch-up with the binge watching throughout the day from the only channel with a wealth of information and proven success whom all anglers of all ages can understand. The tweaks, the techniques of all baits, nobody explains it better. Another standing ovation on this video Hank!!! Thank you so much for always sharing your knowledge.
hahahahaha Thanks man you are to nice.
Another great video. Gotta put the under spin in my repertoire.
This is really my go to bait. It just covers so much.
Great video, plenty of information I didn't know. Good stuff brother
Awesome thank you!
It is my favorite schooling bait. I can always seem to catch the bigger fish. I live near lakes with a ton of spotted bass and the underspin seems to get down to the big largemouth below the school.
Man this one is just a different beast.
@@BassGeek yeah I haven't seen that style. I will definitely try it out. I live in WNC and the lakes are deep and clear.
@@kss5610 Same here.
I gotta get some of those heads. Great tips and mods brother!
Nice man you'll love'em.
Good video. Great ideal on switching out the blade with a treble and feather. It made me immediately think of that VMC treble blade combo but you beat me to it lol
hahaha yeah I just wanted to show my progression. Thanks sir.
Thanks for laying down the knowledge, Hank. You shared a lot of great information in the video. Cool hoodie, too. #BassGeek rocks!
hahahah that's a bassbulliesTV My bud.
those underspins look great, im going to need to pick some of them up!
You won't be sorry.
Great underspin application video BassGeek! Another year around option. Thanks Hank
Yes sir that is a year round option
Love a good underspin!! I need some Bass Munitions for real!!
Dude this is the best. You can do more with this than any underspin you've ever seen.
I’ll grab some soon!
I was just thinking, isn’t he reeling pretty fast! Nice lesson.
Fish On! Hahaha yeah I was reeling really fast lol
Another great video! I’ll have to try these!!! Keep up the good work man, I’ve learned a bunch from you channel!
I'm telling you the underspin is a killer bait.
I fished an underspin much of this summer. I fell in love with it, but seeing what options I had with the Ledgehead is incredible. This is going to make late fall fishing a real trip. Loved the feather treble but I'm amazed by the treble spin. As always your videos are pure teaching and I love learning, thanks man.
Thanks man! I really appreciate it.
Yes sir. Thank you for another video my dude. Keep them coming. And thank you for my sticker.
Thank you for watching and hanging out with me.
@@BassGeek always brother always thank you.
Thanks for the tips..I have not had a lot of experience fishing an underspin and look forward to trying it out soon.
It really is my go to bait right now. I just feel like I can get bites anywhere and time with it.
I still dont throw these enough.. thanks for the tips
If you fish the delta you should. You want to go a little lighter than me. Smooth body swimbaits in warmer weather and keitech styles in colder water.
I've been fishing an underspin that has a stinger hook on the blade. It gets suck on the swimbait quite a bit so there a lot of adjusting between casts but I've caught a bunch of fish that had that stinger in their mouth. Good video brother!
Dude you need to try these. With the heavy wire you can keep it away from the bait.
@@BassGeek yeah I've been meaning to order some.
Thanks for the tips! Definitely some things to add to the arsenal!
Man It's something that I just don't put down.
Agree - Great Bait !!!
Thanks sir.
Thank's for another great video buddy. Have a great Thanksgiving!
You too happy Thanksgiving.
Nice advice and still learning from you, thank you.
Thank you sir.
Good informative video thanks. Hope you keep them coming..
I will try!
Thanks for the video Hank! Going to check some ledge-heads out!
Man I don't use any other swimbait head. I'm telling ya they are all just bs weight forward jig heads. No real design.
Great video Bassgeek. The underspin is one of my favs also. Thanks for the tip!
Hope it helps! I love'em.
Great video! I'm just learning the whole swimbait and underspin thing. I know that I'm late to the table but you've made me want to try something new so thanks for all the great information
You really get to using the underspin and learning when it's hot and when it shines it's just nuts at how it will expand.
Awsome video man, I will have to try that underspin.
It's my go to bait.
Love throwing an under spin. Just cant ever find a good school. Weedless through laydowns is my favorite. Another great informative vid #vaboys #winterishere #militaryfisherman
It is a great way. You can just use it as a search bait.
Great video and tips Hank! I've even put a small spoon below the underpin. Had the flash and the treble hook. Give it a try sometime. Keep up the great work buddy! You rock!
Great Idea. Thanks man.
@@BassGeek I've even used the small weedless spoon because I fish around wood and grass 👍
Great video bro!
Thank you sir.
Great content 👍
Thank you
Great video Hank. I have a lake nearby that I am thinking is an underspin lake. It’s an old rock quarry with really clear water. Still trying to figure this lake out.
Man they work anywhere. You can get the weedless version to.
thanks for the tips. good video. i bought both baits and the ledge heads
Awesome I think your gonna be pleased for sure.
Another great video neighbor , I was up your way about a month ago I was working in PA , was going to contact ya an come an get me an autograph haha an bring it back home to Florence , it’s winter time water temp this week will be around 52 or 51 time for big girls to gorging up.
Man I'm ready for some drop fishing!
man, I am buying me sum of them Ledgeheads on payday.... thanks !!
Thanks just be sure to use the the size for how you fish.
Just picked up an under spin. Looking forward to giving it a try
It's so versatile.
BassGeek #Debo gave you a shout out in his last swim bait video. The collaboration and info sharing is awesome! Two of my go to resources working together.
I use mainly VMC hooks. Love them
I do to but I use'em all hahaha
Have to try the treble hook... looks good never thought about it... thanks
It works.
I fish a place that has a lot of pressure. I started keeping a swimbait on a rod for when I saw shad breaking the surface. Throwing a swimbait in the area would result in a catch at least 6 out of 10 times.
Get you some of these underspins and put that treble hook on. You never miss'em
I've been wanting to try the VMC blade hooks that setup looked nice
They work great just used them this past week.
Nice video bro.
Thanks.
I need some better ones than the ones I have. The blade gets jammed and doesn't spin! Great Info thanks fr sharing!
These are so adjustable.
Great video buddy! Those work for stripers too 😁
Yes they do.
I love a underspin all yr its such a deadly tool when the fish turn on to hit thanks for the tips
Thanks for watching!
I need to get me a couple of underspins. I know they would work great here in Florida.
Yes they would.
thanks again BassGeek,I've been throwing a weedless version wondering if you do same,My lake has pretty thick timber but underspin still works if you can get it back.
I do through the weedless version also but only if I know they are in the tree's or grass.
I use rage tail on the underspin
Nice that's a good trick. What Rage tail?
Got the ranger in garage now. Snow and 11 degrees last nite. Can’t handle it like I used to
Need a video introducing us more about you. Thanks for taking time to put the vids out. I know it’s time consuming
I'm with ya. 13 down here but the snow, I mean show must go on. hahahaha
hahaha I just figured you guys didn't care about me just the fishing.
Thanks for explaining the #underspin and #bassmunitions combo. Never heard of that before. Living in NC, I am not familiar with either. Where are these products available?
Loretta Cozart there’s links for Bassmunitions and the underspin from Ledgehead Lures in the video description along with discount codes.
@@timperry6095 Thanks.
Tim is the man but yes there are links and discount codes in the description of the video.
BassGeek have you ever used the Matt Allen swimbait head ? I haven't used any swimbait heads. But I'm wanting to try some
I have but honestly It's no different from any standard head. It's just a straight weight forward design but It looks pretty. hahahaha
Will Richard make custom colors in the patriot minnow? #bassgeeknation
Yup.
Yes sir I can and will.
Hank, I hear you talk slowdown and I have a dozen 6.2.1 to 6.4.1 reels, but when I’m watching your retrieve, it looks like you’re reeling pretty fast. Let me know which works, what I see (your tempo) or slower... haha 😂
Slower. Look at my summer videos when I'm fishing on the ledges. Much slower.
That’s what I thought 👌😜
Are spotted bass pushing shad to the rivers yet? I fish Carter's and Lake Lanier in Georgia.
Don't know man. I would think it has to be close.
Thanks for the video buddy, I bought some of them bass munition swims. Gonna get some ledge heads, what lake are u at? Tennessee? Looks familiar
hahaha top secret lake S. lol
@@BassGeek haha I gotcha, I'm about 90% sure where your at cause I'm from there.
@@johnstephens5800 Maybe top secret lake SH with let you know for sure. lol
Im new not sure if youve covered it yet. Got turned on to you from debo. But do you have a video of how to put the swim bait on the underspin with the screw locker. Or can you show how to put it on? Thanks. Cant wait to watch more of your content
I don't have one but I can send you to one that I shot for my buddy. Go to ledgeheadlures youtube channel he has one and I plan on shooting one.
@@BassGeek cool thank you
#ttc covers
Thanks and Good Luck.
That does look like a great swimbait head. So I fish here in deep clear water myself . What is your go-to weight for say 50ft . I usually use a half oz is that too heavy or light ? Anything over 50ft there is a ton in 100ft but it seems I get more bites in that 30-50ft range for some reason
If I'm fishing in deep water I'm going 1/2 to 3/4 ounce.
What do you think about the owner flashy swimmer? I’m trying to get into that because most of my fisheries are dirtier water here in Ga, and they have a new gold Colorado blade “under spin” I guess... or is an under spin different?
Nope pretty much the same thing. I like’em and own a bunch!
Are you going to be at the expo in Knoxville hank? I would love to talk with you
I should be. In the Ledgehead Both.
I like pairing a AA 5"sunfish w/3/8 fisheye gold Willow blade underspin. Fisheye underspins have eyes painted on & AA sunfish don't have eyes. Do you think bass care if presentation has 4 eyes?
I think the eye's are a target. Most People think that bass eat swimbaits from behind which is not true. They come to the side or even from ahead. Personally I don't like my heads to have eyes. I like this head because it's more diverse.
@@BassGeek I also believe bass key on the eyes. I put more emphasis on the swimbait than the underspin. I like the mega bass shad or bass munitions sparkle shad (both have exaggerated eyes) paired with underspin with no eyes. Bass Munitions makes sum beautiful baits but my order took about 6wks to find me. Good information on video, tight lines buddy.
Was curious about your order status and the 6 weeks timeline so I went into my records and checked. Your order was placed on Sept 8th and shipped on the 26th. That's 18 days not hardly 6 weeks. I apologized for the delay in communications we had and explained what had happened. Please represent the facts properly.
@@bassmunitionslures2389 Perhaps there has been sum miscommunication. I was under the impression you were just a customer of Bass Munitions. Im not 1 to complain & had I known my comment was going to be regarded as such I would've fact checked my timeline on delivery. I never had any correspondence with Bass Munitions. For a couple reasons, 1) As I said I'm not to complain 2) it's a non issue, there's atleast 50/50 chance the postal carrier is at fault & the manufacturer would never know there was delay in delivery unless the customer makes contact which I didn't. I think the baits are literally the best quality soft plastic baits I've ever bought. I would definitely buy again. No hard feelings.
@@bassmunitionslures2389 As a gesture to smooth this over, I ordered a pk of grubs & a pk recon shad from the Bass Munitions website. You're on the clock...
Don’t think I’d trust that wire with a hook.
Trust me man it's stronger than any line you use. Heck it's a bigger grade than a spinnerbait wire. You trust spinnerbaits???
