@@BurmaJwas going to comment the same thing. I'm going to be picking up both. Minimal X for EDC and the Mbombo for a more premium carry when I'm feeling fancy. Lol
D Rocket - One of my absolute favorite designers! I can't afford his brand yet, which is also why I love every collab he does with Boker and other less expensive brands. I buy every one as soon as I have the money after release.
I've another small D-Rocket that I always have with me so I ordered this one because it's similar but larger only to be extremely disappointed in not being able to access the lock to close it. I had to use another knife to get between the scales and unlock it.
I like my miminalx I've been calling the blade shape a reverse sheep's foot. I think it's a good blade for tasks where you need to cut but not peirce. I've used mine for vinyl. The groove in the middle makes it easy to make use of the tip. I'd imagine it would be the perfect knife to scrap fat off of a fresh hide. If you hunt and keep pelts. I really think Mr.Caston is really under selling the usefulness of this stout big little blade.
I picked one up and would absolutely love a CRKT MaximX to go with my custom Zirconium scale MaximX which I think has a much better looking blade LOL but that's just awesome that you're breaking out and doing collabs with more companies... so now I have a D Rocket Designs MaximX a CRKT Minimal X and a Boker Plus Baby X got the whole family LOL now just missing Racoon City edition, keep up the great work and with the pens as well
@@BurmaJ I wonder if the offset block is removable or a part of the frame? If removable, there may be hope of finding a compatible deep carry pocket clip. Hmm....
Im waiting for some new knives with the deadbolt lock. I think the deadbolt is ingenious but the currently available knives with that lock are not what I’m looking for. Also better steel would be nice
CRKT, please, take your great collab knife designs (such as this) that use D2 and replace them with 14c28n steel. Your customers are worth it. #Death2D2
Agreed. I really like a lot of their designs but man, some of their steel choices. 🤦🏻♂️ I've warmed to D2 over the last couple of years, if it's cooked well and presented at a price that makes sense.
@floraly88 ouch. I've had both under and overcooked D2. Under is obviously soft and the edge suffers from plastic deformation quickly, overcooked and the chunky, irregular carbides chip out of the matrix easily making it kind of crumble.
Darriel is the man, I love his designs! Love to see CRKT picking up his designs and mass producing them
All of these knife companies doing collabs has been so great.
Such a great designed piece 😎
Darriel is one of my current favorite designers
I really like his designs but the blades are just never long enough for my taste.
Like the looks of the Minimal X...would love to see an XL version in the 3-3.5" range as well.
Check out the Mbombo.

Totally agree and I love the fact that he was able to remove himself from anything concerning Paulo. That was cancer imo.
Same, I wish they had talked to him more about his designs while they had him here.

The minimalx looks cool
A designer that looks like me! Definitely will research his blades ✌️

Beautiful knives Daryl!
Keep up your good work .
Liking that Minimal X. Thanks for sharing all of these..
I really like the D. Rocket Design, but it's just never long enough for my taste.

Put a deep carry clip on the Minimal X and it'd be perfect in my pocket.
Weird choice with the chunky offset block huh?

wish there was the iconic D.Rocket with the rocket makers mark.
Thanks DCA for the excellent show coverage, as always! I love that sheepsfoot blade but the handle design does not do it for me.

When you hand over a knife, you don't let go until they say thank you
New CRKT time *YES*
No

why a black coated magnacut? it isnot supposed to be the miracle steel?
Seems a bit odd.
A bit like a powder coated diamond.
Welcome to Utah! That knife looks like a JuuL
More rituals plz
You had me sold until you said it was D2😮

Thanks Dariel😅
Always awesome designs!
Just give us better better blade steels an handle materials.
These Loinsteel are awesome!!!.
Just give us some options!

Brothers from a different mother 😁 Interesting stuff KTCR. But, is it art on a knife handle?
No
CRKT are almost unbelievable future than others maker and design, but their steel selection always poor and cheap.. wake up CRKT!!
I hope they can change that. Other than that they are amongst my favourite companies.

@@PoetFishermanRight. I have a D2 flipper and it loses its edge immediately. Not a good look.
I have old CRKT knives from the days when they used ATS-34 and didn't make the blades in China.
@floraly88 ouch.

😎👌
3.25”+ version 🙏 (giggity lol)
Have you seen the Mbombo?
This might be the first CRKT that I like in years. List as 12C27 which is nice and not 8cr or 9cr. Don't mind D2 either.
Plot twist:
The French ladies call him daddy 🫣😂
Those are some weird looking knifes, especially the first one
The Elon Musk knife
Looks cool, but as a knife, useless. Too small to hold and use.
