7:42 cats actually do this a lot when hunting. They’ll pin prey then kind of look away or walk off for a second and basically pretend they’re done and this gives their prey a chance to get up. This has two purposes: 1. Make sure it’s actually dead and if it does move they’ll finish it off quickly 2. They enjoy it. They like hunting and the chase, they will literally keep their prey alive but weakened just for the fun of it.
Cats are not humans, animals do not enjoy the hunt and cannot be evil. They do this to minimize injury with the prey being to tired to fight back. LOL Dogs might enjoy hunting though as they get so excited and always wag their tail. I still don't think that it's necessarily a bad thing.
That was the compy attack pattern in the book. They'd lunge in one or two at a time, deliver venomous bites, then jump back and watch. If they prey wasn't falling, other compies would take their turns biting until the prey keeled over. It was how Hammond died.
Organized human squads even with bronze age weapons would be formidable opponents even against the larger predators. Raw strength has never need a human trait vs many animals. Weapons, fire and organization however has made humans dominant.
Tbh I literally laughed my butt off watching that XD it was so hilarious how just one touch of the lips instantly killed the guy even though they weren't the person the dino was hunting for!
I love how the pyroraptor loses interest in the human after jumping and only finishes him off when he starts screaming and moving. It's just like a cat playing with a mouse
I'm sad that Therizinosaurus didn't get a human kill animation where it walks up to a person then bats them away with its claws like it does the deer in the movie.
@kjax5226 Sorry, I did not know you knew. It is strange to see it in a jurassic park game. I dont think mosquitoes ir bloodsuckers had evolved back then, and even if they had, I have never heard of Permian amber, so the whole logic the series tries to give for how an extinct animal is in the modern day is nonexistent. That said, the series stopped trying to competently explain a lot of things already.
One thing I just thought that disturbs me, Spinosaurs would likely prey on humans, because we are similar in size and have a similar amount of bones as the fish they ate, so it isn’t outside the realm of possibility that Spinosaurs would devour a human if they still existed. Can even see it with how they eat us in the animations. Some of the medium carnivores and larger Raptors would definitely have a go at us too, but it’s unlikely mega theropods like T. rex, Carcharodontosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus and Tarbosaurus would target humans, we don’t have enough nutrition or mass to provide a proper meal, or even a snack. Smaller theropods like Compies the fuzzy guys wouldn’t predate people either. The hybrids are just very messed up upstairs, the Indominus chooses to kill humans out of pure hatred, as in the movie she suffered abuse and neglect, so she’s devouring humans to instil terror and to get revenge. The Indoraptor kills people for fun, it finds it entertaining and amusing, Wu even said the prototype in the film is psychotic and disturbed. The Scorpios is just unpredictable and unstable, sometimes it’ll attack and eviscerate humans, other times it’s completely docile and harmless.
@@FlamyAndBuds The only dinosaur the guests can kill by struggling and throwing them away. It's still funny how the person still drops dead even if they kill all of the attackers.
@@GoGojiraGo Bro even the sinosauropteryx have hell trying to attack the goats as well 😔 like wtf kinda logic is that? it's like they act like velociraptors but minus the health and high damage intake to themselves (I mean by they get injured easily)
This is the sort of animation I want in dinosaur survival games like Path of Titans, The Isle, and Saurian. Most of the time, they just sink their face into carcasses when eating, which is very unrealistic.
For those that think the Compy death doesn’t make a lot of sense, in canon the InGen Compy variant has deadly bacteria/venom-type toxin traces in its saliva, much like modern reptiles today do such as species like or similar to Komodo Dragons. Add that, plus blood loss varying from how many Compys there are, it’s a slow one but a death all the same. If you don’t believe me, watch Camp Cretaceous season 2 where Darius explains in one of the earlier episodes of that season where he says exactly that.
It was also established decades before Camp Cretaceous in the original novel (as I'm sure you know). Compy venom would be a scary way to go, but in the novel their venom is described as having a narcotic effect - a tranquilizer, even. Hell, John Hammond got enough compy venom in him that when he finally laid down to dream with the compys he was almost happy to do it.
Wild to me how inconsistent they are about trying to be accurate... they actually altered the T Rex design to fix the wrists from prior JP depictions (while also giving it feathers which we DON'T actually know if it had, it was big enough to be warm blooded because of the square cube law...) ... and then you have this sad sack of spikes that is carnotaurus with BROKEN ARMS. Carnos are locked in a perpetual naruto run, they don't HAVE elbows! Still, it looks like it would've been hella fun to be an animator working on this game. Thanks for uploading and timestamping all the animations!
