They do have the red/white/blue one like the big boys and and the teal and pink looks really cool. This was a great second choice and it looks better in person. Very nicely done by them!
It is a good looking one. I wanted the cool 902 looking pink and teal on but this was a great second option plus it saved me a few bucks. This time of year that is great! LOL!

My hobby shop guy says they cannot keep them on the shelves and cannot get them in fast enough. compared to the brushed version these are a lot faster and tougher overall so I expect them to be the main seller going forward and the brushed will possibly go down in price over the next 6 months as they start to collect dust on the shelves. I had a great time with it and just got some new 3s packs to try out in it! Should be a real screamer out there!
It is a sharp looking truck, they did really well on the paint scheme on it. It handled the bumpy track well and it is pretty good about rolling back onto its wheels which is an added bonus. Having to go out and flip your truck back over time after time gets frustrating but when it rolls over and keeps on going is real nice!
It is a really fun little truck, they have it set up really well out of the box also. I may stick a spring spacer in the rear to help with the squat some but otherwise it is a ripper. I just got a few 3s packs for it last night so I that should really sling some dirt around!!!
It is a very sharp looking truck, I am not mad i ended up with this at all! I took the $30 buck I saved on it and bought two new 3s packs to go in it, that should be very interesting!! Some serious dirt slinging! It ran great out there and on the 2s power it worked out great. I think the 3s is going to reserved for Al's much longer track layout. I'l still give it a go but it may have to go to 75% power to get around there! LOL!
Yes and all the upgrades they did for the brushless version really makes them a great deal. Some regret in getting the brushed Typhon now but it is still a fun one but in comparison it does not hold a candle to this. I just some new 3s packs for it and it should really be a dirt slinger with those in it!!!
It handles really well for a little truck, it soaked up all the lumps and bumps on the track nicely. more than a few time coming onto the turf section it hit the lip that has been created and it would buck the rear up some but it settled right into place without getting out of shape. The black and gold looks really nice and I am not upset I ended up with this one, i still really like the pink and teal on a lot but this is a terrific secondary option and saved me $30, which I just spent on 2 3s packs for it so, free batteries!?!?! LOL
Wow…that actually looks really impressive. I love these Baja trucks and looks like the real thing. The price for you guys seems great. And that’s crazy…when you dropped it on the desk I fell in love with the shocks! lol - Dang that seems really fast for such a small thing…the slow mo is perfect for this truck around the sweeping corners.
It is a really cool little package, fast and it handles very well. The slow motion did help show how rough it is out there and how well it hopped over some of the lumps but settled right back down afterwards. I may need to put a spacer in the rear as it was rubbing on the body a bit but overall it is set up great right out of the box. I also like you can adjust the throttle limit and the stability control all from the radio so a quick pause to change things and then right back to it makes it easy to get it to feel good out there.
It is a little ripper, on 3s it will be too much for my little track but I am going to do it anyways! LOL! It is a really cool little truck and seems to be built like a tank. Best of all it seems to like to roll over back onto its tires most of the time so that is very convenient!

It is a little ripper! It really grabs hold of the turf and that was tricky to get through there! Loads of fun ripping it around! I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving!
@All_RC_Fun the Typhon has less tendency to roll over without the heavier body on top and I am sure the brushless version of it is just as fun and quick as this one is. The Mojave has a bit more body roll and suspension movement so it is visually more fun to watch. Either of them are great fun so I don't think you can go wrong picking one over the other. Definitely get the brushless one, worth it for all the upgraded drive line and other bits.
Hey Addam. I must admit, that does actually look pretty cool. I do like the gold/back colour,it suits it well. Chassis looks well designed, and good quality ,and it looked well at home on your track! The trees in the woods are starting to look pretty bare now buddy.....you can see through them in places! 😊👍 👍
It is a little ripper and that is on 2s, I think it is going to nutso on 3s!!! The Black and gold is a great looking combo and I am not mad I got this over the black and teal version, and it saved me $30 which I turned right around and bought 2 new 3s packs for it so "free batteries"! It seems plenty tough and time will tell on that but with all the upgrades from the previous version I don't see the truck failing anywhere any time soon. The tree are almost all bare now, some oaks still holding onto their leaves but otherwise most have hit the ground. I am glad for that as the last two months have been full of blowing leaves into the woods. For the most part I enjoy it but after doing it dozens of times it begins to get a little old! LOL! I will be back out there this morning unless it get to breezy!
It is a fun little truck! Fast and it handles the bumpy track very well, other than the traction rolls and the errors on my part it was really rocking out there. I think I needed a bit of a break from building and just needed a few new ones to beat on and not have to clean up perfectly after running them. It is kind of nice to blow off the big chunks and let it be until the next run! I still probably clean them much more than most folks LOL!
For the upgrades it has in this compared to the brushed version it is a great deal and a lot of fun. In the dirt it runs great and handles the lumps and bumps of my track well. In the short grass it does well but the thick stuff does bog it down so that will make it hot quick. On the pavement it should be a real ripper, I have not tried it yet but it handles so well in the dirt it will tear up some pavement!
Hey Addam, a great looking short course Arrma Grom. I’ve been looking at these for a while too, but being a bit long in the tooth, I always end up wanting a kit to build 😂😊😂, still, if I was going RTR, it would be the Arrma for sure. I’ve still got my Typhon Mega and love it, even though it’s on the brushed system, it still goes well and takes a bashing without too much drama 😊😊. This smaller scale selection from Arrma is very impressive indeed. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊oh, building the Kyosho at the moment and yes…love it!
Hi John! I totally get it, kits are my go-to usually as well. I think lately I have been a burned out on the build process and there have been so many cool releases and new thing I have found a few more RTRs have made their way into the workshop! I will get back to the bench building soon enough. I have to get the decals on the 956, I have really been dragging my feet on getting that done for some reason. I really need to stop buying race livery kits, so many decals LOL! I knew you would love the Kyosho kit, they are a beautifully machined and everything just snaps into place with a purpose. Enjoy it and I look forward to seeing it get built up! Take care and have a great week!
Yeah, I am wondering how it is going to handle it, it may make it too nutty for my small track. Out on Al's big track it should be a blast on 3s though. Claims 50mph on 3 with no mods so we will see!! On 2s it was fun and more than enough power for my track and took a few laps for sure to get the throttle finger adjusted to not go all out! LOL!
From what I am hearing they are going to be a while. Some places have just started seeing the brushed versions showing up. Do yourself a favor and wait for the brushless version. Lots more fun and way tougher overall.
It is a fun and quick little truck! They really did well with the overall setup of this one and other than maybe a preload spacer in the rear I don't think anything needs changing! I was a little disappointed I missed the pink and teal one, seems to be my colors as of recent! I am not unhappy with this one at all though, they did a great job on the paint scheme of it and it looks really tough. Take care Craig and have a great weekend!!!
Nice little thing. Being brushless is such an advantage. Looks good. A bit of traction roll on the carpet section of the track 😉 Maybe my March 2025 birthday present (this or the Typhon BLX) 😊 Take care, Addam 🤝
Yes the brushless is nice as it really livens it up and all the upgrades they made to them for the brushless power makes them way tougher than the previous brushed versions. My Typhon is still fun but not as exciting as this one is. I may still stick a brushless setup in there and just replace a few bit that fail along the way. The truck had a ton of grip on the carpet! It took a while to get the hang of rolling through that turn without rolling. Thankfully I only had to flip it back over once the whole time out there. It roll back onto its wheels the majority of the time which is really nice! I think you would enjoy one of these, on 3s they really cook and the Typhon works really well with a set of touring car tires on it for some on-road action. I have not tried this one on-road yet to know how it does. Take care and have a great weekend.
Mate not gunna lie i want one they actually look more fun than the big one's that style truck handles so well how did it feel driving it they're a wild little critter 👊
Very nice i like the dimensions that are similar to the one we are amused, 1/10....and this looks smaller. very nice!! Ciao my friend have a nice pre Xmas time
It is a great size, small enough you can drive it almost anywhere but still big enough it does not struggle to get around. The grass bogs it down some but even in the thick grass it powered right through it, I did not get it one video as I spent so much time on the track as soon as I got it in the grass it hit the low voltage cutoff! LOL!
That looks so cool Addam. I am tempted by one of these little ones but I have just ordered the Losi Mini LMT so I'll see how that goes first. Arrma really seem to have done a good job on these latest Grom cars. Looked great on the track. Best wishes mate 👍👍👍
That is cool, now you have the big guy and the mini-me version! This little brushless one is great, with all the upgrades in there it is a great deal. I think it is going to be a little animal on 3s! The 2s worked great on the track, the 3s will be better out on Al's longer track racing his around! Looking forward to seeing the Mini LMT in action, I am sure it will be a fun one!
Thanks! It is a sharp looking truck and it was getting around the track pretty well! I was very happy with how well it handled the bumpy track and only got out of hand when it was my own doing! We had a great Thanksgiving, nice and chill with the immediate family. I tried not eating too much but it never fails when there is so much good stuff to eat. I was mildly uncomfortable most of the evening so the tradition stands for another year LOL!
@@AddamsPlayground Well that is what Thanksgiving is for. Eating way too much and going dam won't do that again, till next year lol. And looking at the Mojaves now but my guy at Hobbytown has said that on 3s they had 5 come back cause the electronics burned out when they put it on 3s. You hear anything about that? And that was on the Typhon and Mojave.
@David-mf9bk I have not heard of them failing but I am sure it is possible. Maybe running in thick grass on 3s but on dirt or pavement I would think it would be fine. I'll find out soon I guess!!
@@AddamsPlayground i hope not cause i really do want a 3s version one. Gonna wait just a bit longer to see what people say about them. you i will trust the most on this.
They are coming fast and furious with them! I cannot keep up! I may get one of the new ones, I think the graphite version. The Jammin Jay version is cool and the team buggy looks cool too but both are on the gold pan chassis. The graphite one is one I don't have and would love. I also am hearing they are planning a 4wd version with MIP for next year so I will look into one of those but it depends on the price. The base kit is $400 already and then tack on the MIP goodies and all the complexities of getting that to work I expect a $560-580 price tag on it and that hurts! LOL! We will see what happens!
It is a quick and fun little one. They make the Typhon in brushless as well, roughly the same wheelbase. I have the brushed version of that one already so I went with the truck this time. The buggy is more of the modern looking buggy but it handles great and you can bolt up a set of regular touring car tires to it for some really fun on road running as well.
Good deals.. No hobby town near me unfortunatly.. Cool little truck bud.. Side note i was unsubbed for some reason might have missed vid or two got some catch up.. Hope ya had a great turkey day brother..
Yeah, it worked out great to save a few bucks! My HobbyTown is the only one I know for about 50 miles from me so i am very thankful for them being there! I know YT seems to do random unsubscribes from time to time, usually on the much larger channels but seems to be sporadically done across the board, no idea why. I have had it happen to me before on other channels. No worries! We had a great day, nice and chill. I hope you guys had a great one as well!
The Mojave Grom is really awesome! The brushless version looks mental! I wonder if there are any rally car bodies that would fit the chassis; with modification, of course.
@@AddamsPlayground 100% That is why I bought a Grom in the first place! I want to do a rally conversion but I have WAY too much on the go in real life to hunt down a properly sized body or go through the hassle of printing off and painting one.
I want to say it was 30 or 35 on 2s and 50 on 3s but I don't have the box in front of me. They have them all stated right on the box as the real speeds for 2 and 3s on 50%, 75% and the 100% throttle settings and they state that is without gearing changes so out of the box it is supposed to do that. It is quick and fun, it also likes to roll back over on its wheels most of the time which is an added bonus!!
Now these I do rather like, I think you made the right choice with the black and gold. Thats the one I am most likely to pick, they have just arrived in the UK but no real deals about on them as so new. Do you know if a regular 2S battery pack, same shape and size as a Tamiya stick pack will fit ok? Aside from a shorty pack those are the only existing batteries I have.
It is a really cool little truck. The black and gold was a good second choice. They really did a great job on the paint schemes on these. I am not even sad I missed the pink and teal one, seems to be my colors lately, but this one is super cool looking. These do take a smaller battery so you normal batteries will not work in there. Plus these are much lighter, a full sized pack would weigh a bit much for them. There are lots of aftermarket ones available that will fit so that is not a big deal. I git got another 2s and a pair of 3s ones from Amazon for under $45 total. The 2s packs were $14 a piece and the pair of 3s were $30.
@@AddamsPlayground Thanks Addam, that's handy to know. Its a bit annoying as the one I'd like is the black one, but that's the one that doesn't come with a battery.
@TonyGardnerRC the smart battery that comes with the others work but you can get aftermarket ones with much more capacity and you can charge with a standard charger. Also for a lot less money.
Thanks, when I initially built it there was a monstrous jump where the big sweeping corner is up front. I did not mean for it to be that big, just worked out to be a bit too large. I tore it out this spring and the flows much better now. I need to build some small jumps that I can move around or remove when I want to, I both keep neglecting to do and when I think about the materials are not in the budget as I probably jump bought a new car! LOL!!
I noticed that this kind of cars flips over more often than buggy....If you don't pay attention also the Traxxas udr (the king of tech) is with belly on air....
Yes, the buggy is a bit more planted in the turns, the kind of heavy body makes it roll a lot more for this one. It does make it look super cool with the body roll in the dirt though, very much like the big trucks! Thankfully it seems to want to roll back onto its wheels more often than not, I only had to go flip it back over once or twice which even for the 1/10 scale ones is a normal day for me out there! LOL!
I think it is listed as 1/18 scale. it is a pretty good size whatever it works out to be, it can handle my lumpy track and decent length grass no problem. Thick grass does bog it down and it would get hot quick.
Love the "Tazzy Devil Technique" towards the end! ARRMA leads the industry with these awesome products. Thanks for sharing, Addam!

Awesome little RC. You really have some serious grip in the inside turn. 😂
It is a little ripper! It really grabs hold of the turf and that was tricky to get through there! Loads of fun ripping it around! I hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving!
@@AddamsPlaygroundWhich of your Groms do you like better?
That does look really cool. Not usually a fan of rtr but I like this
It is a fun little truck!
Been eyeing these up myself!
The truck looks great and ran well. I can't imagine it on 3S.
LOL!
Nice! Can't wait untill they hit the shelves in nz
From what I am hearing they are going to be a while. Some places have just started seeing the brushed versions showing up. Do yourself a favor and wait for the brushless version. Lots more fun and way tougher overall.
Cool truggy there Addam. These little RCs always pack a lot into them. Shame you couldn’t get that other one though
LOL!
@@AddamsPlayground 😄
Another great video. And that color scheme just sold me! Hope you had a great turkey day Addam. I ate to much lol.
@@David-mf9bk Well I just got two new 3s packs for it so I will find out how it does with them fairly soon.
Hey adam I see the r c 10 Is coming out 4/4 Looks really nice. You're gonna get one
Such a good car.. baby mojave
@@Rc_Rev it handled the bumpy track really well and it is a fast little guy! Make me want the bigger version!
@ I just got Mojave 4s.. and made a video for that. You can watch it. It is an amazing machine .. handling superior. And it is giant lol
@@Rc_Rev I will head over and check it out!
Wow it sure rips Addam.. do Arrma do a buggy version as always preferred buggies to trucks 😊 Pete
I like it 👍
These little guys are rippers! I look forward to seeing what it will do on 3s, the dirt will be slinging!
Ohhhhh, that would be an awesome thing! A cool Ford rally body on there or maybe the Yaris and it would look killer!
@@AddamsPlayground 100% That is why I bought a Grom in the first place! I want to do a rally conversion but I have WAY too much on the go in real life to hunt down a properly sized body or go through the hassle of printing off and painting one.
@canuckchuck8836 yeah, not sure. One of the Amazon type ones would probably fit but I have no clue as to which!
Last
Do you know how fast this is supposed to go on 2S
I haven't seen any other unboxing videos other than yours
Nice track you built. Have you ever placed a little jump anywhere on it?
LOL!
Gauranga
Thanks as always for checking it out and checking in! Have a great weekend!
I perfer the body on the one you got.
It is a sharp looking body and I am not mad I ended up with this at all. I do like the 90s vibe from the pink and teal one though.
1/14?
I think it is listed as 1/18 scale. it is a pretty good size whatever it works out to be, it can handle my lumpy track and decent length grass no problem. Thick grass does bog it down and it would get hot quick.
