  • Here's a quick video on how I turned a cheap Walmart powered toothbrush into an awesome power sander for my kits. The whole process took about 15 minutes so this is super easy.

Bristles can turn into lumps of grass with some green paint 😁

Fantastic idea. I had one of these for cleaning algae off of the rocks in my fish tanks that was sitting around doing nothing since i learned how to balance the tanks. Now it has a use again. Thank you.

Excellent video, this will be very useful for getting into tight areas. The velcro attachment system looks great too. Thanks!

Just found this, and it's a great idea. I had just recently done so with a regular Oral-B toothbrush I was replacing because the bristles were worn but the brush still operated fine. The bristles wouldn't pull out without damaging it so I just cut them down sanded the end flat used a piece of double stick tape and cut a piece of sandpaper to fit, stuck it on there, and as the French say voila. It seemed to do a subtler job but that's okay when doing fine sanding.

This is perfect for me. I use paper clay in items I create and hand sanding, even though it might be a small area, can be tiresome. Love this idea.

I did it a couple of years ago with a double sided tape only. It works great.

Fabulous idea! I'm currently building a motorcycle model, (HONDA CBR 1100XX), and I've had hard time smoothing the top seam on the gas tank where it's actually concave and smaller than a dime.
I've used a much fancier one for cleaning rocks, but it has the annoying feature of pausing for a second to remind you to switch quarters of your mouth...
As cheap as the Dremel discs may be, it would probably be even cheaper to buy larger sheets, (and easier to trim down as well.)

Very clever! I’ve modified one to use in lock-picking sports (inspired by The Lockpicking Lawyer). But never considered as a parts sander!

I wonder if it wouild work out cheaper to use orbital sanding discs rather than the small ones.

@@barbatosrex9473 thanks a lot i will wait for it!. i am going to make one. But i don't know what kind of toothbrush to buy. There are ones that Vibrates only, others than do a full circle motion, and others that oscilate (halfspin clockwise and half counter) in your opinion... which is better?
