How do you open the top part of the key? I can get the buttons off but cannot figure out how to open the section where the blade is so i can remove the transponder....thanks for the video
Hi mate, problem is i just did the transponder for the buttons to the new key which was easy, now nervous to do the chip because i don't have a spare to start the car in case I break it, saying that, did you file between the gaps where the chip is, thanks?
Hey mate, unfortunately you can't just break it apart as it is glued in, if you try to pry it out you will break it. That's why I spent so much time filing it.
Normally they are at the top closest to the steering column when you have the key plugged in. I'm assuming this is because there is a sensor in the steering column that picks up the transponder in the key and if it doesn't match then it doesn't start the car.
@@TheGarageGamer86 Found it, it is actually moulded into the plastic in the fixed blade keys. A lot of dremel work and a pair of side cutters did the trick. Thanks for the video
Yo bro, thank you, me and my bro were so worried about damaging the chip. Thank you.
Thanks for your video, I have ordered a new shell to replace my worn out shell.
No worries mate, im glad it helped out :).
Great video. Thanks for posting. Was worried about forcing the transponder out. Now I'll file it out instead. Cheers.
No worries :)
Just did this. Good work bro
Thanks mate :)
Thanks Mate... just what I needed to know.
Glad it was helpful mate 😎👌

Hi mate,,is it easy to take that transponder out??is there a chance to cause damage the chip??can i just break the shell and pull the chip out,?

I just bought a flip key off eBay, my old key is a fixed blade. I don't see the transponder in it anywhere. Is it in the blade end of the fixed key?
