    What a great insight into the whole matter. I found Dan Neidle to be very informative and to the point. I've been a mortgage broker for many years and have been asked about this subject lots of times. My answer has always been if it looks and sounds too good to be true. It probably is. I really do feel sorry for landlords. right now, me being one myself, there seems to be an effort to drive up costs and regulations every few months. Looking at the broader market, you only have to look at what's happening in the US with the big global funds getting into residential property to find out where the special interests lie with all of the systematic rules being brought into disadvantaged landlords so expect more and more changes down the line.

    I looked at this then i sort advice from Tax advisors who were not selling this strategy and every one said NO My last straw was i checked with my currant lenders and they all said that they would go along with this strategy good video and it confirms what i thought from the beginning RNLA put ads in there mag for this strategy i would welcome you asking them what they feel now after the SH1T hits the fan

      They "would" go along with this strategy or "would not"?
      Part of the problem is that, until a Judge rules on this, no one really knows and that causes confusion and uncertainty for all.

      @@propertytribes Dan say en copartion is not with out risk I just dont think its worth the risk and the cost of fees my view is rental demand is so high a landlords should have the ability to cover the cost of s24 taxation if not i would sell up

      My old accountants who were charging me 4 times what I pay now advised me years ago about a scheme run by GRANITE TAX 😂 sounded like something out of fools and horses for me and I let it go. Point is they were happy to risk my peace of mind and business for their measly kick back. Maybe your accountant isn’t the friend you think

      @@369dabbler I am very pleased i did not wander down this road every tax advisor i spoke with said it was not without risk so i stepped back this will bankrupt Landlords who have gone down this road

    I have seen Dan on videos worth the IFS and he’s always unbiased, logical and accurate.
    It doesn’t need much common sense to see these schemes were seriously flawed. If it sounds too good to be true - it usually is as well. If seen these schemes and ignored them without realising so many people were taken in.

    I love how hmrc refuses to make things clear so it can come back and screw you later and to prevent people from doing anything differently out of fear. It’s the definition of a cartel

      If it's clear, people know when they are being done over. Frankly I don't think they actually know what they want to do themselves!

    I would like to know how much the NRLA got paid to have Less Tax For Landlords asa Ipreferred supplier because for sure that will have affected peoples decisions that made no comments on it whatsoever since they were removed😮

      The problem is that until a Judge rules, no one can really know if a scheme is legitimate or not. This has caused uncertainty and confusion for landlords and HMRC took 8 years to identify the schemes, so for those 8 years it "appeared" that they were okay.
      Now there is a tribunal happening, it will give a clear outcome one way or the other, but it will take a long time and people in the scheme have an unknown liability hanging over them for the duration.

    Great video, I just hope the P118 situation is resolved and everyone involved is looked after, I feel sad for the landlords that did it

    I am surprised people actually think it makes sense to offer tax advice to clients and get a commission. Blatant conflict of interest.

    The central issue of this is that Section 24 is corrupt, unfair and unlawful. T
    his Mr Nasty tries to come across as a fair tax expert, but it is unbelievable how he says he is not anti-landlord. Landlords were pushed into very desperate position hence have no alternative but to go to property118 or less tax for landlords...etc. this man has destroyed livelihood of landlords and tenants......
