That was cool to see the trade in process
ive always said its cool how you guys dont hide things from us. you show us and tell us just about everything. thats cool and commendable
Dang, props to Abby and all the other guys at DJVG. A trade-in process takes so much more work than I anticipated.👍
Cooper as the customer stole the show😆
Abbey is so nice and works her ass off few times I was there ..great video
"hey... Steve" LOL
love it, u are awesome acting as the customer, that attitude. lol
Great video! Was interesting to see just how much work goes into taking trade ins
If ‘Steve’ kept pushing Abby he’d probably see stabby Abby! Lol
Stab-ula stabs Steve haha
Interesting :) really enjoyed this video, love learning the back end stuff.
Thanks for letting us see the process. Whenever I trade in games to a game store I am always patient and let them take their time with my trade since I know they are busy band it takes time. I try to always do trade in credit since I know I will be back to use it. And if they give me items back I never question why. Usually I know it's probably cause they have too many copies of a certain game or it's a condition issue.
Steve needs to watch out talking to Stabby like that
lol
As someone who trades and sells constantly it’s nice to see how the process is done.
Cool to see this end of the business. Would you guys take my Richard Simmons sweating to the oldies DVD set? I also have his pop figure. Lmao
That's pretty cool to know!
And nice trade, Steve!
What everybody else already typed, thank you for letting us in on how your stuff works
Great informative video! I noticed that serial number and condition field had connection. NIce way to use serial info as helping aid for selecting right item!
A great inside look at how it's done. Cooper, I love that you were being a typical a hole customer. Haha
This video was fantastic!
This was very informative…ty for sharing it with us.
Great change up!
Nice imitation on the kind of customers y'all get 😂🤣💀 jkjk
LOL too funny! I’m currently working on building a pile for you guys. Keep up the awesome work!
Nice to see the process
Now hopefully people can understand, steve be like "25 minutes?! It should take 3-5 minutes!!" lol
Awesome Trade Video Games
Love this video. It would be very cool to do more videos like this.
Cooper makes a great pissy customer 😆😆
That guy who traded in the games looked very familiar 🤔 nah can't be lol . Great vid guys thanks for doing this
Nice to see the behind the scenes with the trade in process. I hope everyone is not as rude as that sketchy "Steve" person.
I've noticed the POS you use is offered by Game Start Stores. Did you go through Michael to get your store started up or just use his POS?
We just use the inventory system
Man that steve is a real jerk, I wouldn't do business with him
Thats not steave, its John Fake Name!!!
Emmy Nominated Acting
What program is this?
Sorry if I missed it I’m watching on and off at work 🤣🙏
Cool too see. Thanks for this specific vid.
Oh and Steve... you're kinda a douchebag.
Be kind to the lady.
Workout DVD :)
How does store credit work for you guys? Do you put it on a gift card? Does money need to be allocated on your end for that money or it's just treated as credit only?
Cash and store credit are treated the same in the inventory. its all stored on the account of the customer, no need for a physical card.
Awesome video. I guess the question is why not have a dedicated trade in terminal? Isn't your POS Woo Commerce which is cloud based? Or is this a POS application that resides on that single terminal? If that's the case watch out for single points of failure!
Our POS is Gamesmart, Woocommerce is just the storefront for our website. The laptop in the back can also be used for trade ins, but without getting some networking help done (trying to do this soon), its very slow, as it has to connect to the first computer for everything.
That was cool video and interesting as all get out
Good trade in value ❤️
Thank you very much, this video was very informative, although Steve seems to have a bad license or is sketchy “John Fake Name” haha great video guys!
i trade in at my local game store all the time and they have never even asked for my name.
What an informative video! :)
As Stephanie Tanner once said “How Rude” but Cool Video!! 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Hey Cooper very informative video! If you don’t mind sharing the name of your pos system or a way to contact the company or person that makes it I am very interested. I am in the process of opening a retro gaming store right now with an online website.
Gamesmart. Website below. Let them know I sent you when you contact them :)
gamestartstores.com/point-of-sale.html
As awful and crazy that opening sequence may seem to some, having worked at a resell store for over 3 years that is exactly how a lot of the interactions go.
That Steve guy is super rude. I think you ought to ban him from the store. :D
Great video!
very nice video
So you pay about 50 percent of the value?
Depends. More expensive games are higher percentages, but there weren't really any expensive games here. Cheaper stuff is lower percentages
Steve seems shady. 😄
What pos system do yo use?
Gamesmart
and then the guy is like you know what not enough I'm gonna go see gamestop.
I see the cash value of trades kind of varied from 30 to 45 % . So like a sports/slower seller game would be at 30% compared to something you know will easily sell goes for more like 45 to 50 % ? And is that about the highest you would go on a trade item is about 50% for a cash value. I ask these questions because I plan to do an online trade in. I was kind of hoping more about the online trades would be mentioned in this video ( no hate ) but no big deal. Do you guys have like a form/ instruction for online trades because I assume you'll want pictures , exact conditions , ect. (Im sure you guys get a lot of emails and I would love to be fully prepared with my trade email as to save you guys a lot of back and forth ) I Know its kind of a long comment and I really appreciate it if you do decide to take the time to respond. Thanks in advance been watching everyday for quite sometime now and love the channel!!
The percentages always change. it just depends on the game. There wasn't anything particularly expensive in that lot, but had there been, you would see much higher percentages. Max would be like 75% for certain items.
for an online trade, just an email with any info you have is fine. A spread sheet of whats included, or a gameye export or something works great. Pics are helpful, but not required for most items. Pics also work instead of a list of spread sheet as long as we can see everything and know whats included.
@@DoubleJumpVideoGames Really appreciate you responding man. How about resurfacing. Devils advocate * I send in all my trades and you see most of the games would need to be resurfaced , Is that something you even care to know. Because in my eyes , that may put off said inventory for a bit etc. as well as adding labor time overall. It may not be a bad idea to do a small write up/tutorial maybe on the site to answer some of the common questions ( again not hating ) . In a nut shell was just trying to get info on exactly you guys want sent in an email for trade so I can optimize my first email and make it easier on all of you. Thanks again for responding dude, really appreciate it!
@@wrangler2155 Would you have an FAQ on the website, but it’s more related to the actual website, not the store.
As far as resurfacing, we don’t typically think about that at all when making offers because we just assume we’re gonna need to resurface most games anyway. It would only really become a problem with really cheap stuff, but for a mail in trade, we probably would pass on that stuff to begin with.
@@DoubleJumpVideoGames Makes sense. I was just thinking like how many emails you get that start with ' hello I have a trade ,blah blah " then you have to respond ( which will take time ) . Then they get back to you and comes back missing information ( players choice , special edition , steal book) .. Feel free to tell me if im over thinking it LOL .
And by write up /tutorial , I just meant like a "how to/format " to the email (for mail in trades) available somewhere , which may help with streamlining the mass emails ** Game name , CIB/loose, Condition ( which could be subjective ) , pictures/ or in spreadsheet format etc..
I’m looking for cash lol
@Arcade Kaos he still doesn’t do refunds for awesomeness tho
I have a faded copy of Mario land can I get at least $300? It’s rare
You have people ask how long it's going to take and they get rude and walk around? I trade in stuff all the time I don't get rude because honestly being rude will fail your access the store again
Steve is just a jerk, most people are not like that lol
Lol okay Cooper
I tried to show this to Aaron Kosharsky to help him but I guarantee he's not going to watch it
We had a trade going through email and you guys jus never answered back?
Your email is still "un-read" and we have every intention of getting back to you, we just can't possibly reply to all our emails in a timely manner. Sometimes we have 100+ all with lists / photos of items we need to make offers on. It is hard to find time between everything else we have to do for the store, but rest assured, we have not forgotten and are not ignoring you on purpose
@@DoubleJumpVideoGames okay thanks jus wanted to make sure it was still there thank you
not bad for $105 cash...best games were Kid Icarus and Alice PS3
Alice had a top scratch, so it wasn't added :(
@@DoubleJumpVideoGames oh darn...that's a great game
Really cool video but god damn... Giving $1 cash to a game worth $10 bucks is pretty rough... Ah she fixed it at the end. Reasonable prices**
Demanding cash from the getgo, that guy seems sketchy and suspect…
I call bs! I’ve seen you buy pop figures! 😛
Man.. that guy trading in at the beginning was a total a-hole. :D
Steve was a jerk! 😄
Wow Steve was rude don't be mean to Abbey she will stabby u.
Man, Steve looks like a cool guy but he's kinda mean.
😄😄👍
Nice acting lol
You couldn't track a stolen video game. A console, sure, but not a game. They don't have serial numbers. You're also not a pawn shop and don't tend to deal with the same caliber of people as a pawn shop may sometimes find itself dealing with. Any chance they have to have an account because you can keep track of good or frequent customers. Frequent customers may get a little more, and newcomers may get a little less or vice-versa.
ha..i want cha chings
John Fake Name...I know that guy!
