This is no hate to you but I think you fundamentally misunderstood what was being said in the MAPPA comment; the fact that a lot of their anime are high quality is part of the problem, they brute force all of their shows with crazy high standard that can barely be met and have insanely terrible conditions as a result. JJK and Hell's Paradise showed that brute force can only get you so far, as those shows broke and fell apart and exposed just how flawed they are. 100%. i don’t think he understand the whole drama of MAPPA last year. yeah part of it was the final product’s quality, but the main issue was the awful conditions that allowed for those cracks to start forming.
Honestly in my humble opinion, I tend to connect more with main characters than the side characters. For example, I think Naruto is way more interesting than Rock Lee, so I wasn't really mad when he got sidelined like a lot of fans did.
@Noctislolig I honestly was pretty satisfied with Rock Lee as a character. I think he served his purpose and told an engaging story. There was nothing really more that could be done with that character. I just never found him as engaging or interesting as a lot of people seemed to.
