Honestly the kinda funny thing to be about this "New Social Media Site" is that it's a Mastodon Instance, so long as it's federated then it should be visible to the rest of the Fedi-verse, and that means that outside users can "Retro-Post" occasionally

What happened on the gab?
Andrew Torba, the CEO of Gab removed the ability for non-pro and non-verified users to post media (images and video). Predictably, this killed engagement across the site and groups were the most affected. The best group on Gab “Retro Palace” turned into a ghost town overnight and many of my friends either stopped using the site entirely or deleted their accounts. Torba then bragged about how much better his timeline was since the media upload policy changed. He then reposted accounts of people who called the non-paying accounts “freeloaders.” The way the situation was handled was sloppy and arrogant. I don’t want my retro gaming groups to be beholden to an individual who has no idea why people use the site to begin with.
....wasn't Gab one of the socials all the racists went too when they got kicked off of twitter? I seem to recall it was explicitly made for racists? Also, unless your going to cap talk about games to pre 1980 games like pong and Space Invaders, your going to have a hard time removing politics from games. Politics have ALWAYS been in games, when you were younger you just didn't realise it.
There are plenty of racists on Gab that’s for sure. Politics in games post 1980? I didn’t realize there were political messages in Super Mario World, Virtua Fighter or Metroid Prime.
