As developers and tech companies pile into AI, the limits of what computers can do are expanding dizzyingly fast. The line between fact and fiction, real and AI-generated, is now almost impossible to determine.
However, with this comes real concerns that democracies are vulnerable to a blizzard of machine-created disinformation and disruption. 2024 will see several important elections around the world. People & Power investigates whether AI disinformation could be used to shape the outcome of those votes.

Actually, reverse A.I. can be just as dangerous. In other words say some politician is actually guilty of some horrible crime, they could purposefully release the knowledge of what they did in a way that seems like it's been manufactured and then blame it on A.I. misinformation.

The problem with the idea of detecting A.I. generated images is that normally the way that you could detect fakes was by either finding errors or technical inadequacies. A.I. will never have a problem with either of these problems unless it is done purposefully to look more authentic to humans.

We are creating our own problems. Human are living on this planet for years ( without AI ). Humans have done a great job without AI. For limited benefits we are taking big risks. We need to think rationally for humanity not just for our pockets.
Ofcause it can but it could also be used to represent the publics will by consistently sampling opinions and then representing them.
Could make elections obsolete because we can be ruled by a instance majority opinion.
It is a threat for human intellectuality and control.

Bad Actors with AI in their hands will lead to serious chaos in the world. The laws of the jungle.
How can governments place guardrails to manage AI use?.
The simple idea is to regulate it.
Civil society and concerned citizen's rights groups must initiate social movements & protests and demand accountability from the proprietors and proponents of AI.
we have make it compulsory to teach children of all age groups on subject of "ethics in science and technology".
Media must step into the role of whistle-blower to highlight the negative side of new age technology and making citizens aware of its implications.
We must take lessons from past mistakes to avoid new set of problems.
People centric governments who r really concerned about people's interests must raise this issue at global forums because the AI even threatens the sovereignty and integrity of nations.
It is major tool that non state actors can use to create problems and chaos.
It presents challenge to internal security and stability of every nation.
Modern warfare method has changed. It will be soft warfare rather than hot and blood spilling warfare.

… I believe we are meant to be like Jesus in our hearts and not in our flesh. AI is just our flesh and that is it. It knows only things of the flesh (our fleshly desires) and cannot comprehend things of the spirit such as peace of heart. Whereas we are a spirit and we have a soul but live in the body (in the flesh). When you go to bed it is your flesh that sleeps but your spirit never sleeps (otherwise you have died) that is why you have dreams. More so, true love that endures/last is a thing of the heart (when I say 'heart', I mean 'spirit'). But fake love, pretentious love, love with expectations, love for classic reasons, love for material reasons and love for selfish reasons that is a thing of our flesh. In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image, according to our likeness. Take note, God is Spirit and God is Love. As Love He is the source of it. We also know that God is Omnipotent, for He creates out of nothing and He has no beginning and has no end. That means, our love is but a shadow of God's Love. True love looks around to see who is in need of your help, your smile, your possessions, your money, your strength, your quality time. Love forgives and forgets. Love wants for others what it wants for itself. Take note, love works in conjunction with other spiritual forces such as faith and patience. We should let the Word of God be the standard of our lives not AI. If not, God we let us face AI on our own and it will enslave us and make us worship it. We can only destroy ourselves but with God all things are possible. God knows us better because He is our Creater and He knows our beginning and our end. Our prove text is from the book of Daniel 7-9, Revelation 13-15, Matthew 24-25 and Luke 21. So, let us watch and pray.
