Congrats on the molts for the female and slings! My female apohysis 7.5" molted yesterday. My 3 adult female stirmi have molted including the mother recently. 2 of the stirmi (not the mother) took 3-4 months before venturing out to feed after their molts! Talk about being patient....LOL
I just bought a mated pair of c.bertae, and I mated my euathlus truculentus female again-I sent the male on to be used elsewhere so fingers crossed. I'm on the lookout for a g.pulchra ATM... Not a sling tho.
Mingu1987 Heard Theraphosa Stirmis are larger than Theraphosa Blondis by legspan and i also heard their jaws are bigger than THeraphosa Blondi. Don't know if that's all true..
Jerum Distura I read that on arachnoboards. I think all 3 species gets similar size in leg span. But T. stirmi and blondi are more massive, due their large body.
Mingu1987 Yes, that's right both are indeed chunky in comparison to the much more leggier Theraphosa Apophysis. Never owned a Theraphosa Apophysis in my collection just yet but that's what I've read in Arachnoboards too. I got one female T stirmi juvenile and a female T. Blondi in my collection for now. My T. Blondi juvenile cost a fortune from Paul Becker but well worth the prize since they are rare to find now a days :D
You're the best!!!!!!

Ranchibi Y Thanks Ranchibi Y, 17 made it to spiderling. My adult females take about 3 to 5 weeks after molting before they feed again.
Same with mine if I offer them food but, I wait till they emerge from their burrows looking for prey before I offer them food.

adiehunter76 Good luck with your breeding projects.
Nice update! Those babies were so cute! I'm sorry some of them died though.
MariLynn Moore Thanks, hopefully better luck with the next breeding.
Always good to see one of your update. How old is she and how long have you had her?
TheMidgetFlinger I have her since 2009, bought her as subadult/adult. So, I'm guessing 8-9 years old.
I am in the US and I am wondering where can I buy female t blondi online?
Rarely offered. I got mine from Thomas vinmann.
She's huge. Pity about the nymphs you lost. How soon could you pair her off again?
She's now my largest in my collection. In 3 months i could breed her again.

Jerum Distura I have a t apophysis juvi which i hope is female. Even if its male i can look forward to its beautiful purple coloration :)
