    Quick note: One point, two point and three point perspective don't actually have only one, two and three vanishing points. When you rotate the planes you need to start adding more vanishings points, for example if you have hills or boxes at different angles.
    The one/two/three actually tells you the number of axis which get projected. 1pp has 2 straights axes, 2pp has 1, 3pp has none.

    • @bluefox5331
      @bluefox5331 2 роки тому +49

      @@crossed7971 It just means that you can have more vanishing points depending on which way your box is rotated in the picture you're drawing. For example with one point perspective, If you were to draw streets they would *all* be parrarel to each other. What if you want a road that crosses the other ones?? Well then you add another vanishing point, just for that one road that crosses the others. Still one point perspective.
      It's important to remember that the vanishing points help us convey 3D space onto a 2D paper, they are *not* real things that exist. Just how we see them in perspective.
      One point perspective: the lines of the box facing away get projected
      Two point: all horizontal lines of the box get projected in perspective
      three point: all sides get projected, now you can look look more up towards the sky or more down towards the ground too. in other words, now the vertical line gets projected too.

When I tried drawing in 3 point perspective I always tried to connect a line to horizon vanishing point that should be connected to the vertical one and I finally figured it out.
