Nemophila is a hugely diverse and versatile band. They are based in metal and metalcore but they stray through whatever style and genre the feel like at any given time. If you pick any three Nemophila songs at random, then chances are they'll be pretty different. Fantastic band. Plenty of really heavy songs with screams but also ballads and fun songs. At the time of the video they were a 5-piece but SAKI (guitarist on our right of the video) left around Easter. They're now a 4-piece and singer/screamer Mayu now plays rhythm guitar on some songs. Definitely my favourite band for the last 4 or 5 years.
Nice reaction. They're a fantastic band. You have Mayu on vocals, Hazuki and Saki on guitars, Haraguchi-san on bass and Tamu on drums. Saki left the band recently to work on solo stuff, and they're continuing as a 4-piece. I'd recommend Adabana, Dissension, Ama-Te-Ras and Revive. They do beautiful ballads as well, and covers of other bands like BabyMetal.
Mayu - Lead Vocals, Rhythm Guitar Hazuki - Lead guitar (first solo with the tapping) *Saki - Lead guitar (second solo with the sweeping)) Haraguchi-san - Bass Ai "Tamu" Murata - Drums *Saki left the band in early 2024, so they are now a four-piece, and Mayu has starting playing rhythm guitar, with Haraguchi-san stepping up occasioinally to a "lead bass" role. There are a few other songs that may interest you because Haraguchi-san and Tamu both have some lead vocal moments. Haraguchi-ssan sings lead in the live video of "Blooming," and on their cover of the Minions "Banana Song" (which is hilarious) and Tamu has some lead vocals on a couple verses in their cover of Maximum the Hormon's "Zetsubo Billy."
Nemophila is another treasure trove that the Japanese music world has to offer. Incredibly talented and damn versatile. They pretty much live up to their reputation as the ‘soft and fluffy band from hell’, even though they had to suffer a huge setback this year with the loss of one of their guitarists (Saki, who played the 2nd solo here) and had to regroup themselves. But I think they coped with it better than most people expected. I am curious to see which 2 more songs you have on your list. :) _____________________ 「 _Look inside the mirror of you. Truly a supergroup! I believe it was put together for a gig Mayu (vocals) was going to have? She had performed with Tamu on drums at a live-event a year earlier. so she brought Haraguchi on bass etc etc. They enjoyed so much playing together that they deicided to continue. First some covers of Maiden, Bon Jovi, Kiss.. then they released original material. Favourite? Raitei! Live or studio? same... Next on my list is "Life".
Welcome.... Want that itch scratched again? Do the music video of Revive. Great song and one of the best mv's you will see... Don't forget Lovebites. 5 more beautiful classy Ladies from Japan, one of the best heavy metal bands around.. You like solos? Prepare to be rocked.... Check out the mv of Judgement day.. You will never be the same again Best wishes from France 🤘🇨🇵
They are now just a 4-piece, I guess. The lead vocalist now plays the 2nd guitar but probably the rhythm guitar. The remaining lead guitarist, Hazuki-san, is also one of the guitarists for the band KOIAI. KOIAI doesn't have a permanent bassist.
@@Sohum yes, most Japanese artists are like that with a few exceptions. For example, Mizuki, East of Eden’s drummer is also the drummer of the band Lonesome_Blue. A lot of them work as Support musicians for other bands. Wakaemon, the lefty bassist of East of Eden supports KOIAI and also Marty Friedman on tour.
Nemophila and Hanabie are my two favorites from Japan. Two great live bands. I also love a brand new band called Launcher No.8 They have a new live recorded video by AGP productions that I'd love you to check out the last two songs Wake Up and Mikado. They play Japanese easycore and have a cool screamo singer.
NEMOPHILA are now a four-piece, following the departure of guitarist SAKI. Drummer tamu murata has been playing professionally since she was a teenager. Now, In addition to being a leading drummer, she’s a mother of two. ADABANA and MONSTERS two songs with very different sounds than RISE.
Every time I watch a reactor do Nemophila reaction for the first time, I expect his/her unexpected 😆. Anyway, nice reaction!! Next song try ADABANA, or AMA-TE-RAS👍🏻🙏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
Thanks Sohum! By now you may be starting to realise that the J-Rock and J-Metal female and female-lead band scene is very deep... Nemo one of the best, but _dozens_ of great bands await. And the musicianship is at a high level all round. I'm partial to Band Maid, but sometimes, you just need something a little heavier. ;)
Thank you for the reaction! It was cool and interesting! BUT! Why did you name the band correctly? Right the first time! :) All their songs are really cool. My favorite is "Adabana". Thank you for the reaction! By the way you need to try another Japanese all-female bands Lovebites and Hanabie. Lovebites "Holly war" live. Hanabie "We love sweets" music video.
I like all these bands you keep coming up with that I have never heard of. This one is very interesting. I am gonna have to hear more from them to make my decision. Awesome reaction.
Unfortunately Saki has left the band and apparently the band has no intention to replace her and instead of getting someone to take her place they are making new filmclips with just the four of them. Time will tell if it will reduce their popularity but I personally desperately want them to return to a five piece. I still follow Saki but enjoyed her much more when she was in the band. Ofcourse Saki was in Mary's Blood for a long time and maybe she's just sick of bands but i think at the very least they should have waited another couple of years because NEMOPHILA were definitely on their way to super stardom and im not convinced that they still are.
My favorite by them is AMA-TE-RAS, Happy Metal!

Nemophila best out of Japan 🤘🔥🔥❤️❤️
lol, it's pleasantly funny when a reactor has an epiphany releasing this band is better than others 🤯
hahah
Band-Maid is my favorite band but I love Nemophila! Such an amazing group of musicians and cool people.
i love the crossover between the fandoms, theyre both incredible

You need to hear/watch DISSENSION :) NEMOPHILA is amazing metal band!

I see the painting
FYI, Japanese bands don’t refer to “verse, chorus, bridge.” Instead, they talk about the “A melo” (Japanese for, “A-melody), “B-melo,” etc.
Awesome reaction!! Please react to more Nemophila , Revive , Dissension , Oiran
revive will be coming up :)
