Have to push him some days but he's getting better.
It’s always good to see your Dad! Glad he’s feeling well enough to check on his hives.
Doesn't matter how bad off he get he always wants to be out in the bee yard.
@@628DirtRooster * Time to surround his room with observation hives! 😜
Hey Randy, I took a break from social media during the last few months.
Is your Dad alright,I see he is no longer walking😢.
Still with his Bees, though that's awesome 🌞!.

❤🥰❤️ I just enjoy seeing the love with your Dad!!! Glad he’s home ❤️🥰❤️
Thank you.
I’m in Lucedale and have a rabbitry. I’m also handicapped and tend my animals in my powered wheelchair.
I'm not telling my wife or she'll have me up there buying rabbits from you. haha Dogs got our last one.
I’m going to start posting videos this spring when I have all 4 does at breeding age. I’m excited to show others how I can set up my rabbitry to be wheelchair friendly. I hope I can help others get started raising their own healthy protein. When I have more raised beds I’ll video that. Really busy in winter here! Good luck to your hives this winter! If you breed queens I’d love to purchase my colonies from you. Keep showing the world how tough Mississippians are!
@@justkeepgoing2657 We do raise queens and sell nucs. Nucs are on our website 628dirtrooster.com
What is it like to have your very own father work beside you; to guide you as an equal while sharing his experience, expertise, and wisdom? It must be nice.
I've been blessed to have this all my life. I don't know any different.
Happy birthday daddy rooster
I'll tell him for you Renee. Thanks
I'm so glad he is back home
Yes, we are too.
I bet the bees know he's been ill, that's why they leave him alone.
Great to see your dad out and getting about, and feeling well enough to go tend to the hives. Wishing him a lovely Birthday, surrounded by his loving family, and many more birthdays to come.
They were cutting him a break.
Glad to see your Pops home. Wish him well. Glad to see he is back in the bee yard.
Just try to keep him away from it... LOL
Brother this one touched me deeper than you will ever know, I don't know that I can find the right words. Stay strong and hold to what you know and believe in, I'm on the same older path and have had to experience some pain you are yet to know. The pictures at the end of the video reminded me of a time in my area in the 70's growing up that I loved. I wish we could have that time back again, workin' on cars and just enjoying life as it came to us. Thanks for the great video.
Tommy, I really appreciate your comment. Chokes me up and lifts my spirits at the same time. Have a blessed week brother.
Wish him the best 💜
Will do. Thanks
"They're my pets, they don't sting me." 😁

We are very blessed.
The cars sure remind me of my younger life . These cars were in my time . I should be kicked for the older cars I sold back then. Great to see you an your father being able to get out to do what you both enjoy. That was the best picture of all !!!.. Thanks for taking us along in the bee yard . I sure miss my parents and grandparents. THANKS !!!!.
You and me both on the cars!
Always love seeing you ❤pops
Thank you Angela
Glad to see your dad out working his bees. It's also nice that you stand back and let him do it his way so he still knows he able to do what he love doing. Bless you and your family

He was falling a lot.
Good to see Pat up and around.
Great pics too of the Cruisin.
Gotta keep him rolling.
Good to see your dad back out working his bees 🎉.
Love the LLHs. Mine are doing good here in the great white north. I just wish it would stop raining!
We've been in drought conditions all summer. Just started getting a little rain in the past couple of weeks.
@@628DirtRooster woke up to a dusting of snow this morning. 🙃🙂🙃
Ah, I understand now why there hasn't been much content posted lately. Good to see your dad out of the hospital and I imagine it must be difficult for you to see him in a wheelchair. But he seems happy that he's still able to look after his bees; wishing both of you the best.
Thanks so much for the well wishes.
Good to see your dad back in his bees , hard to beat some father son time
That's the best time.
LOVE the photos, Randy. I want to be there in person next year. It's good to see your dad out and about!
Next year I'll hopefully get some better shots. I blasted through on the last day and just snagged what I could for a video. LOL
Glad to see you two out together. Any time you get to spend with an elderly parent is a blessing, my pops is 87 & mom is 84.
Wow! Hope those longevity genetics passed down to you.
So happy to see your Dad home!
Us too
Need to get him a long hive box for all his other hives.
Just transfer the frames over. Easy peasey. He'll be back to working them all by himself in no time. ❤
That really is the best option for him.
Awesome , getting out and doing what he loves, Great video Randy.🙏🙏🙏
It sure keeps him motivated.
Great to see your Dad out and about
Thanks for stopping in.
Good to see your dad out and about ❤
Yes! :)
Please tell that young man . Windy and Garfield from Scottsboro Alabama said .We are happy to see him on camera again. Happy birthday to him as well .
Haha I'll tell the young fella.
Great to see your dad out and working the hives. Praying for continued recovery. Eat red radishes. They’re windex for your insides!
Thanks for the tips!
Good to see Pops out in the bees. Great to see the stills, love the vega! Thanks, take care.
Glad you enjoyed it
I always like to pull the motor out and do all the work on a stand. Then put it back in 😂😂😂just lazy way of doing it no bending ❤️❤️❤️❤️
He just built this one. Time to button it up.
YAAA! Daddy is home and doing better. Merry Christmas From Canada. sending healing prayers always.Happy Belated Birthday Daddy.
Hope y'all have a great Christmas.
Hey Randy. I see that you like Bob's migratory covers also. See you in a month at the Expo.
I do like that high density board. It'll last a lifetime for most of us.
doing the lords work man, thanks
Thank you
Great episode, Randy! Prayers for your Dad for continued improvement.
Thank you
Good to see your dad working the hives!
Wishing A Belated 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY Great that your dad is well enough to check on the bees and not even take a sting, @2:52 I think that is what the bees have done. I have a number of hives and the bees will just chuck the sugar out of the hive. It dont matter what time of year it is with 7 of the hives. My guess is that hive with all the sugar at the entrance are super hygenic bees and probably high mite resistance. Them Bob Binnie covers are awesome! Oh and enjoyed the Classics towards the end half of the vid. That was a lot of entries. Back from the days when cars where proper cars lol
If he get any worse off he'll have me dragging him out there on a skid to check his bees.
“All scientific like” 🤣 glad to c u with your pops reminds me of the times i spent with my grandfather in his bee yard, he needed more and more help but he kept his bees till 93 years old, I was lucky to have been able to help some of the best memories are of time I’ve had with my family
Wow! He made it a long time. That’s amazing he was still beekeeping in his nineties.
I do thank you. He loved your photos and was looking forward to taking some of his own after he retired, he almost made it.
Our pleasure!
So glad to see your dad Randy
Yes sir! Y'all going to NAHBE this year?
Super happy to see your Dad home and getting out!!❤ will be slow but he will do fine 🫂
Yep, he’s moving a little slower these days.
I met your father at the Hive Life conference and sure good to see him back in the bee yard.
We'd love to have him come to NAHBE this year, but I don't think he'll be up for a trip like that.
So glad to see your dad out and about.
Me too
It’s heartwarming to see dad out in the bee yard, working along side you, Randy❤👍😊🙏
I'm glad he's up for it.
may GOD bless you and yours
Thank you and same to you.
Great video Randy , good to see your dad out and about.
Yes, thank you
Great pictures bro.
Thanks man
Good to see you out and about Sir. I hope you continue to recover and we'll see a lot more of you.
I’m going to have him on here as much as possible. He’s really weak these days.
So glad to see you dad! Great he is able to get out and about. See you in a month! (That's a warning!) God Bless! -Jeff and Diane
Looking forward to the Expo. We’re excited.
So glad to see the master at work again!
Me too!
Always had bees and no money for hot rods 😂😂😂that’s a good thing
That's the life of a beekeeper.
Nice to see your dad out and about. One suggestion though, it looks like he could use some diabetic socks.
I think he has some but he's got open sores on his ankles and neuropathy pretty bad so I think they hurt him to wear.
That's the reason I suggested them. My legs looked like his. Now, I don't have them. Ask his doctor if he needs them or the compression socks. I'd hate to see your dad lose his legs like I did. ♥️♥️♥️
Dirt rooster and his dad are just a great example of real Americans from head to toe and by word and deed o7 we salute you Sirs
We appreciate you John
Good to see your dad out and about. Looks like he feels better in the bee yard. He will have bees chasing him all the way back to the house trying to get the syrup off. Love the old cars! Thanks Randy!
He went out there one day by himself and bumped a hive. He couldn't get back to the house fast enough. They tore that head up.
I like the old cars
Cruising The Coast is a great event for car lovers
I am so happy that I came up here tonight. I wasn't feeling well and just wanted to watch a Video or two and I am thrilled to see Randy's daddy in this Video up and about and motoring right along tending his Bee's .YEAY !!! Made my day for sure ! (Thanks for the shout out too ! Glad you got my card .) Prayers answered ! Glad to see Randy's daddy doing much better. A belated Happy Birthday to Randy's daddy too ! ! Loved seeing the Car show ...I used to own a few Classic cars year ago (1966 Mustang , 1968 Cougar XR-&, and a 1956 Chevy. ) Loved the Car shows ...they were always fun ! I went up to the website and am I correct you are out of Honey ? I wanted to buy some . I will check back. Sending Love ....keep on moving by Faith !
Thank you again for the card for dad. Elizabeth updated honey on the website. Have a great weekend.
@@628DirtRooster Okay Randy .Thank you . BTW : My Son just purchased some honey from you online ! Can't wait to get it ! Take care !
I've always said if I keel over in the bee yard, let it be known I went happy !
If I keel over in the bee yard, I probably went out screaming.
Handsome man. He has been very sick. He has lost a lot of muscle. I hope he becomes stronger.
He's getting a little stronger
@@628DirtRooster 👍🏻
Whenever bees get a hold of granulated sugar they treat it like sand is in what I’ve always seen and experienced.
Usually if you pile it up and dampen it will stick together and harden as it dries, and they will eat it.
First!!!!
Yes sir!
Hope your Da is still doing OK. My Father In Law passed away suddenly last Tuesday night, I am going to really miss the times we spent together tending our Bees and laughing at each other when we got smashed by the girls. He was not just my best friend, he was more of a Dad to me me than my own father was. Treasure every day you have together. Peace to you.
Sorry for your loss Phil. We’re just getting home and catching up. My father in law passed on the 23rd. We weren’t close like y’all but still hate to lose him.
@@628DirtRooster My condolences to your Wife, yourself and family.
You need to keep a good lid to do the shaking. Less of a mess.
Yes we do. All these are rusty.
😀
Have a great day
Great video Randy, really appreciated it. Sir, mind if I ask you something? Why are you a treatment free beekeeper and what are you hoping to accomplish by being a treatment free beekeeper? Thanks so much Randy.
Chemically treating is an extra step, expense and stressor on the bees that I found early on in my beekeeping journey I could easily get away without and have as good or better results than people around me who were treating regardless their poison of choice or protocol for use. Two of the things I accomplish are having naturally healthier bees and wasting less of my resources (time, money...). I'll be giving a talk about it on the SBGMI.org virtual winter conference in February.
Randy, can you answer this question with regards to a beehive swarming. The question is if a Queen swarms do any nurse bees leave too? I am assuming a small hive may swarm but there has to be a certain amount of forage (older) bees.
I would imagine that a good amount of older nurses would join a swarm but I don't know if anyone could answer that one with anything other than opinion.
@@628DirtRooster , thanks
That’s when cars was cars not hunks of junk
Very true
So sad to see your dad in a wheelchair
Yes, that was a good day. He’s not doing well.
