How much did it hurt acceleration from a dead stop? I recently (today February 15th) replaced the old pulley with this one. And when the spree is on the kickstand it revs perfectly fine, but once I am on it it wants to die. It does take off, but not very fast. Also, my headlight blew once I revved it up.
Do you need to a thrust washer behind this pully on the crank shaft? Not that any of the curb sprees I've found ever had the washer from the shop manual in there but lol had to ask.
Thank you for your input. However, I DONOT own a Spree. May-may look into buying a Honda Urban Express in the future. Yes, Japanese quality and reliably is hard to beat. Some models can be easily modified and others, not so much. Nevertheless I thank you for now.😊

Just out of curiosity,(I don’t own a Spree by the way) can one rejet their carb, add a mess cone air box, and slip on a mlm pipe, in addition to the new light weight ncy plate? I do know that the Spree is one of those bikes that one cannot do many mods to. Thanks

This mixed with that NCY 82cc kit modded to fit the spree would probably be a good fit

Main jet only, no cone filter on a spree but yeah the exhaust and pulley will help we have the exhaust on the way in.
