I saw this movie when I just moved to US around 1997 I was in my 20s,, I just saw OmPuri on the cover got the DVD, I saw myself in Om Puri how I may turn out when I get old, now it is been 20 years and I am old and I have son who is upset with me most of the time, this movie so much ahead of it's time, you reap what you sow
I just hope your son is not the fanatic and is going through a phase
I've seen it. It's interesting and well acted with deep characters. Om Puri is one of my favorite actors. I think he and Melanie Griffith have good chemistry. You should also check Om in East is East which is a comedy drama made a couple years after this movie. The sequel West is West will be released soon.
Please take Om to England and make him work on such projects. We all are anxious about watching him playing diverse characters.

Something I have been in search for quite sometime is a connection with somebody that goes beyond vanity. It's very hard to do in this day and age. People can be, somewhat very superficial.
On my quest to achieve this I have learnt a lot about human nature. It seems to me that those who are not given traits such as beauty or being wealthy are some of the nicest, kindest and generous people.
While the "gorgeous" and well off seem to be the most arrogant and greedy people out there. Of course that's not to say there aren't beautiful kind people out there.
I've been in the process of change for a while now and I have made some decent changes.
I saw your profile and it intrigued me. I wanted to learn more about who you are and what type of path you would like on in life.
