@@jeffconley819 I'm actually a metal head, since the 80's with nods to Kansas, Yes, Rush, King Crimson and the inimitable Genesis since I started playing drums in Jr. High. Love Dio, etc., but Dream Theater really kick-started my directional path toward "there must be more" drum-wise. I don't normally do jazz related material but Guthrie Govan's solo work (and his work with Minneman and Brian Beller in Aristocrats) has steered me on a slightly different course. That's what landed me here (completely by chance). This boy is the funk version of Jordan Rudess. Absolutely incredible, and now that I've replied... I must listen, again.

I’m not a musical snob I’ll listen to anything except Rap. But some of it works for me.
Watched in March, 2023: an amazing diversity of talent on display headed by the inimitable, elfin, masterful wizard Valeriy. Despite an astonishingly perverse display of Russophobia in my native USofA, any self-respecting musician must put aside prejudice and if not, will miss this musical feast, for which feast I am most grateful. With all respect!
Russophobia is the term the Russian government applies to any foreign criticism of their brutal full scale invasion in Ukraine.
Russian people including artists, scientists and others have to accept part of the responsibility and bear consequences.
The music is fantastic of course.

This stage hosting MUCH more talent than it was originally designed to accommodate at any given time. Fortunately for us, Mr Stepanov appears to be able to duplicate this phenomenon anywhere he goes. BRAVO Maestros ALL. These stellar accomplishments have NOT gone un-noticed on this side of the ocean.

Я просто в духовном шоке! На одном дыхании прослушал на очень хорошей студийной системе весь концерт. От сведения и качества записи (при всем том что запись с ютюба) до умопомрачительного мастерства всех музыкантов и сыгранных композиций оставили меня в полном восторге!!!! Валера и его команда-это безспорно высший пилотаж мирового музыкального олимпа в этом стиле! Я знаю что он умеет играть музыку любого жанра и делает это просто великолепно. Но этот концерт доказывает ещё раз что в России остались люди которые ценят настоящюю музыку. Конечно хотелось бы что бы такого уровня команда выступала на больших мировых аренах. Людей нужно приучать к настоящему исскуству. Браво ребята, браво!

Well I've just spent the last one hour and thirty five minutes blowing my mind away with this outstanding and unbelievable music with a group of musicians who are at their very best. It is so good to watch and listen to a band playing live. This has made my day.

I first heard Valeriy and his brother six years ago. The intensly high level of musicianship I would describe would be a massive understatement. I can only surmise that in past years fusion artists touring overseas, performing to large crowds has influenced and borne fruit to the multitude of talent now being discovered overseas. I only hope one day Valeriy and his band will tour the U.S. and I will be fortunate enough to see and hear them live.
The musicality in this band is beyond genius! It's hard to find better live musicians than this🙂👍

Love his jazzrock/fusion work, Valeriy also has done some more commercial sounding smooth jazz actually, that would definitely fit the airplay profile. I like that he is clearly inspired by 80s/90s fusion, the likes of Koinonia, Casiopea etc

I admit I’ve never heard of this band. This video suddenly appeared in my feed and I’M HOOKED. My fav jazz fusion groups in the 80s included Mezzoforte and Spyro Gyra. So this band’s songs are rather similar. I’m now subscribing!
Yeah ray the same thing happened to me. Video showed up in my feed and I’m hooked. This is the stuff I grew up listening to and playing in the 80’s. I was never really good like these guys but I surely appreciate their talent. Just amazing. Hope they come to the USA.
Same with me! Being a drummer, I was looking for some new material to learn and along comes VSFP! Arkadiy Kornev on drums is an absolute beast! And he pairs up perfectly with Albert Stepanov, the bass player. Between these guys and Snarky Puppy & Crew… I have enough ammo to work with!

OMG I'm so glad I discovered this. It's like when I found out about Jakub Zytecki in 2020. Incredible musicians I never hear about in the states and then when I finally do I'm so irritated I didn't know about them SOOOOONEEER. This is gorgeous. I've been a fan of Elektric band for decades and with Chick no longer among us we need people to carry that on. Valeriy's sensibilities around the Rhodes are SO much like Chick's... I'm grinning like a fool over here. GREAT sound.
@@jeffconley819 I started in the 70's too. Back then there were a few fusion keyboardist that were World Class monsters: Chick, Herbie, Jeff Lorber, Joe Zawinol and George Duke were at the head of the pack.
That class is a lot more crowded and would give any of the Old Master's a run: Valerie, Corey Henry, Jesus Molina, Shaun Martin, Jacob Collier, Yohan Kim. The biggest difference now is that most of today's guys don't have monster bands that tour like the Old Masters did...

I’m really into the jazz fusion synth styles but I literally know no one around me that likes that kinda stuff. Makes it seem like that world is really small these days . Back in the 70’s and 80’s the market seemed wide open.

Ich habe ja schon viel im meinem Leben Live gehört, ebenso auf UA-cam viele Musikvideos, aber dieses Konzert so wie LIVE 1 und ZDVIG von Valeriy schwebt einfach, so flockig, groovt, hat schöne Spannungsbögen, facettenreich und zuletzt immer sound- und videotechnisch top gemischt. Man merkt in jedem Takt, Refrain, Bridge und Videoschnitt Valeriy`s Handschrift. Unfassbar beeindruckend und wunderschön, alleine Val´s Synth-Sounds, Layers und Backing Tracks! Valeriy ist ein wahrer Meister, umgeben von Top Musikern! Ich liebe ihn!!

Когда творчество теряет независимость, искусство приходит в упадок. На первом канале нет независимых персонажей, они все часть монополии которую идеология интересует меньше всего. У монополии имеются свои бренды для того, чтобы нести скрытую рекламу, но не для того чтобы нести искусство в массы. К сожалению на западе сейчас та же проблема. Вообще эта тема очень интересная и для многих является загадкой.

Валера, спасибо за этот прекрасный концерт. Ваша команда сотворила просто что-то невообразимое ушам. Я увидела и услышала это и могу сказать, что это больше, чем музыка. Здесь всё можно испытать, грусть, романтику, загадку, радость, таинственность, безбашенность. Каждый из музыкантов был по-своему проявлен и услышан. Для меня это стало чем-то очень чувственным и запоминающимся в жизни...
Хочу добавить отдельно:
Валера- ты был полностью самим собой, таким, какой есть. Ты выплеснул просто все эмоции и будто прожил все важные моменты в своей жизни снова. Спасибо огромное за этот концерт, за эти чувства.
Аркадий Корнев- спасибо вам за вашу дикую энергию. Это было что-то между динамитом и концом света. Во время вашего соло даже мышцы рук и ног сжались, так как прям был дикий кач, просто сумасшедший. Спасибо.
Альберт Степанов- хочу сказать, что ты отдался, как и делаешь это на сцене каждый раз. Собственная харизма, пронзающий и заряжающий подход и взгляд к музыке. То, как ты чувствуешь и подаёшь музыку, это уникально и никто так не сможет, как сделал ты. Спасибо тебе за это и за то, как ты это всё прочувствовал и донёс всем.
Роман Бондаренко- вы были по-своему загадочным, но при этом со своей изюминкой. Чувствуется, как прониклись тем, что исполняете и этим же зацепили в душе. Спасибо вам за это.
Всеволод Гузов- вы так тонко чувствуете музыку, так прям по тонкой грани всё это совмещается. Так интересно было слушать и наблюдать за тем, как вы с Валерием вдвоём играли. Это было прям так трогательно, что невозможно было и оторвать глаз. Спасибо!

He is the fusion/funk master! That's fusion in 2021. Great that it is alive or comming back again.
Another proof that valerie is worldclass and this band outstanding. Still,working on bringing him/them to germany after the corona mess is over. So far very enjoyable to watch this. Carry on and greetings from germany to one of russias greatest music artists.
I've had the pleasure to be on Valeriy's concert in Głogów, Poland. Beside Knower it was one of the best gigs I have ever seen. He supported Jonah Nilsen's band and IMO he shined over the headliner. I highly recommend to see him and his band live!
@@dawidszmatua4111 i believe that. Being a musician and pro since the seventies i think he (and his fellow musicians) plays in the premier league and that should be much more appreciated by audiences worldwide. Who knows what happens after Corona. More music to come anyway!

I'm embarrassed to say I'm only just watching this for the first time now, 1 year after it was released. And man, as a guitarist myself, why hadn't I heard of Roman Bondarenko? He plays like a monster, such soul, fire, chops and wonderful jazz fusion sensibility.

Me too (in lock down) what these guys are doing, is World class. I've been following Stepanov for some time now and can't believe how bloody brilliant he is. Can do it all and backed up by some fabulous musicians.

I too am in hotel quarantine in Brisbane and just stumbled onto this group. Been a fusion fan for many years. This rates right up there with the best.

Согласен, но джя этого её надо продвигать её, в.т.ч. и западную, а наши кавер -группам даже не жают развернуться нигде в большщих и серьёзных клубах! Не хотят просто платить, не говоря уж о своём творчестве! Тут надо быть миллиардером, как Эмин например, при богатом папаше стал ещё богаче - ему всё можно : Крокус и всё остальное, а другим большим таллантам - хрена лысого! Зато Манижа на Евровиденье послали и обо .....сь по полной! :(( В общем никакого будущего у нас музыкального не будет, если будем всякое г выпускать на сцену... .От одних названий уже дурно , как нпример " Нилето" - ну назвался бы тогда сразу "Не лето, не осень!" :)))
@@Jackson12438 Agree. Worldwide, the consumption of mainstream music is done by young kids 9-21 years od. The type of music they like is repetitive loops dragged on a timeline and combined with schitzophrenic video. Good music is not loved by everyone

After watching this awesome band i can honestly say im in awe of the precision & lets not forget the sound engineer who is brilliant.
