My peak sheltered kid moment was when I was underage in college and my friends were pregaming with alcohol, and I insisted on drinking a bunch of soda and getting super hyper because I was convinced that it was the same thing.
Yay for another sheltered kid segment!! 👏🏻 My youngest sister was the homeschool girl who went to public school for high school & she was pretty shocked by health class. 🤣 My siblings & I often joke about how many things we didn’t learn being homeschooled (couldn’t tell ya the quadratic formula) but my mom reminds we’re all “kind Christian adults who have a great work ethic”. So there’s that. 😉

My sheltered kid moment was from middle school. My maiden name is Slaughter and as you could probably imagine I got made fun of. Well, my step dads last name is Semans and one day I got fed up and told one of my classmates that my real last name was Semans (which it obv wasn’t and idk why I felt like I needed to lie). Well, another one of my classmates kindly informed me of what Semans meant. I was mortified!!!!
I love Jane so this was a great podcast thank you. And thanks for always keeping it clean they missed bleeping a few last week lol. Not loving that bronze sculpture taking over Katie’s corner.

41:50 Just gotta point this out…I was homeschooled for 5 years and it didn’t even seem like we did that much as far as book work, so I was terrified that when I went into a public high school I would be way behind. Not the case at all. I was on honor roll (not trying to flex, it’s just the way it went), and I’m not even that smart of a human being. The public education system in America is pretty terrible :) Edit: Just realized how annoying that sounded. I am honestly just trying to encourage anyone who wants to homeschool. 🖤
