Thank you so much. My new ecobee was installed by a technician but he was baffled why it was not powering up. He tried everything he could think of. Then I found your video and told him how to find the problem and fix it. And it worked. I am not handy or technically savvy but I felt great telling the guys that it was the fuse 😂

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU... We did some remodeling and like you I didn't know I touched wires. Found the blown fuse, replaced it and like magic it works.
I just purchased an Ecobee Smart Thermostat with Voice Control. My device will not power on same as yours. After several troubleshooting attempts I gave up and simple reinstalled my old thermostat and everything is working fine again. The Ecobee compatibility website confirms that my home's wiring is indeed compatible. So I'm guessing I have a defective unit. I plan on returning the current one and trying my luck with a new one. Also, my wiring setup is similar to yours. But my white wire is used for the O/B slot not the W1. That may be your issue but you should probably have a professional check it out just in case.
The most important wires to turn on your thermostat are C and RC/RH. My recommendation for you is to test with a voltage meter which two wires bring power to the thermostat. Then try to match the remaining wires to what you had on your old thermostat. If none of that works, then I suppose it could be possible that its bad..
Hi .. One of the reasons why ecobee screen can turn blank is control board in the furnace going bad. This is exactly what happened to me recently. After I replaced the control board, ecobee worked just fine! Please include this as a possible cause in your video. Thanks!

Good video. Im getting power to my display but nothing is showing on screen. It takes 6 days to get a replacement... im thinking of jist going back to the simple analog style that I used with no proble for 20 years.

Installed mine yesterday, have a honeywell 9800 included with my plus 90 furnace. After lots of frustration, I bypassed to 9800 and viola, it works, the 9800 is a 1,2,3,4 wiring configuration and also apparently messes with the signals and is not compatible with the ecobee. low an behold there is 5 wires coming from the furnace and one was not used, same on the thermostat wiring. frustration gone, system functions, ahhhhh
For me it was only 1 fuse there so it easy easy to figure out. But you can remove one by one and you should be able to see the bridge from both sides blown (won’t be connected). I hope this helps you in some small way! Good luck and I truly appreciate your support for my channel.

My fuse wasnt blown, but pulling the fuse, and putting it back, reset that circuit board, and the stupidbee thermostat came back on. So thanks!

Ours turned off when our weed waxker guy clipped a wire and busted the fuse
