Do I remember that you are tall? I think the back definitely needs to be longer but with the suggestions that you've made about how you would alter it, I think it would look even better!
It's supposed to be high waisted, but it's too high for me in the back. It hasn't been scaled up, taken directly from an extant garment by Kenna. I didn't make any alterations, but Kenna is including instructions for making changes based on your waist length in the final pattern.
Nice! I was thinking this would be a great thing for summer work-wear for me-not really a blazer, but a somewhat structured top that would be perfect, except that I would have to make that belt adjustment! I’ll keep my eyes peeled for the release of this pattern!
I love this! Side note: your video is kind of quiet so when the ads hit I about fell out of my chair... oops. Anyway, maybe so volume adjustments to your videos would be nice. :)
I didn't make any adjustments to the pattern since it was a test and I wanted to see how it would fit without changes. I was above the recommended measurements, but within the max pattern measurements. The pattern is one size, taken from an extant garment. If your measurements are less than mine, you would have plenty of ease and the back pleat and belt placement can be adjusted up or down based on your waist length.
I tested it too and I think it would make a really nice longer house jacket as well. Unlike Rebecca, I live in the North where a little jacket to toss on around the house is a great garment! (I made mine out of flannel)
this is one of my fav makes of yours. Despite no pattern alterations I find the fit impressively good specially from the profile. Great fabric choice.
Thank you! I was really pleased with it!
That is so cute! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you!
You're looking so fantastic! I'm excited to see this! I'm only 1 min in! 😂😂😂
4:24 What a great camera view!
If you don't unpack your whole garment and resew it, did you even really sew?
@@therewillbecatswithgwenhwyfar True! 😆

@@therewillbecatswithgwenhwyfar I'm not tall, 5'6", but I have a fairly long torso and short legs. 😆
Well done! It came out really nice.
Thank you!
Well tested
Thank you!
I really like this!
I'm so glad! ❤️
Great video! I have fixed the cuff instructions, yes. ;) Thanks so much for helping to test this pattern!
I loved working on it!
It seems a bit short-waisted. Is that part of the design (intentional), or perhaps a scaling-up problem (unintentional)?

@@katebowers8107 It should be available now in Kenna's Etsy store! The link is in the description of the video.

I just looked at the listing, looks like a pic of the original garment is there!

I set my video volume so it doesn't peak in my audio editor, but I will see what I can do! Ads are always so loud.
It looks too small to me I would lengthen the front and back. Otherwise, I like it and might buy it.
