In this video you can watch all moments from UK Snooker Championship 2022 where snooker commentator John Virgo asked "Where is the cue ball going?". The moments include players such as Ronnie O'Sullivan, Ding Junhui, Mark Allen, Mark Williams and others.
You can argue about whether this phrase funny or not. I consider it pretty funny, that's why I made this compilation.

People always slate Virgo for being repetitive, problem is they don't realise that John came up in the underground Snooker mines of Salford, where the phrase "Where is the cue ball going?" equated to "we need to evacuate the facility pronto". Different times, the seventies.

Reminds me that I play snooker by shooting the coloured ball with a hard back/follow shot and then the cue ball pocketed.

The first shot here is one of those that makes me question the rules of the game.
Before the shot: 72 ahead, 75 remaining
After the foul, because he potted a red and they are not respotted: 68 ahead, 67 on the table.
Being able to win a frame like that doesn't seem fair. Particularly because it only happens with the reds. If the exact same thing had happened on a colour when those are the only balls left, it would be respotted.
A similar thing can also happen in the case of a foul and a miss where you hit a colour first and a red ends up in the pocket. If you have to retake the shot, there's one more ball on the table than if not. Also, if that red going in puts you over the line, can a miss even be called?
