My bold predictions: Erik Jones win, BUT, it won't be the southern 500, and Chase Elliott will win more than 3 races this season as a rebound from 2023
My 10 predictions for the 2024 nascar season are (5 cup, 2 xfinity, 2 truck, 1 arca) 1. None of the SHR cars will make the top 20 in points 2. All of the full time Toyota drivers will make the playoffs. 3. This will be the ONLY year that Iowa will be on the Nascar cup series schedule 4. Alex Bowman will return to the playoffs, but only by a few points, and will get eliminated in the RO16 5. Spire Motorsports will start a new era, Corey LaJoie and Carson Hocevar will both win and qualify for the playoffs, as Zane Smith will be in contention for it, 6. Hailie Deegan will get 2… top 10’s 7. SVG will go winless in the Xfinity series, and miss the playoffs. 8. Kyle Busch will win none of the 5 races he enters 9. Because of their rapid expansion, McAnally Hilgemann Racing will suffer massively, having only 1 win and only Eckes will qualify for the playoffs… but he will end up in the championship 4 10. Kris Wright will prove he is a crappy driver by somehow getting less wins and top 5’s that part-time William Sawalich, and will be locked in a championship fight with Andres Perez. I thought I’d show my championship 4 predictions, so here they are in order, (Arca is just top 4) Cup, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, William Byron Xfinity, A.J. Allmendinger, Sam Mayer, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill Truck, Christian Eckes, Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, Nick Sanchez Arca, Andreas Pérez, Kris Wright, Christian Rose, Lavar Scott
SHR goes winless, Bowman wins a race, Chevy as a manufacturer struggles through the summer and into the playoffs, Circuit Gilles Villenueve is on the cup and xfinity schedule in 2025, and Toyota wins their first drafting track race(s) of the next gen era in 2024.
Here are my 10 bold predictions (may change by end of the month) 1. Chastain has a rough season and a lot of awful luck, and Suarez is the more successful driver this year 2. Bell has the most wins heading into the playoffs 3. SHR will have a bounce back year with Briscoe and Berry especially 4. A driver of either the 91, 60 or 67 will come close to winning a race this year 5. Ty Gibbs has a strong season but fails to win, missing the playoffs much like Truex a couple years ago 6. Toyota will win the most Cup races 7. First half of the year will be plagued with rain, second half will be bone dry with little to no rain affecting races 8. Alex Bowman will win multiple races 9. Nemechek and Gilliland will perform on par with, or better than their teammates this year 10. Indianapolis will be an absolute banger of a race and considered one of the season’s best (I will be there so I hope this happens)
Agreed Bowmans last 1/2 of the year was dismal. But that being said that second half he was wrecked in the final laps running top 5 multiple times. He probably should have made the playoffs if it wasn't for his continual spat with denny.
My ten bold predictions There are three I agree on 1. Elliott bounces back 2. Bowman continues to struggle 3. Lewis Hamilton drives the 67 4. Bubba gets to the round of 8 however only wins once 5. Hamlin goes winless(might be dreaming about this one) 6. Byron wins the championship 7. Larson gets top three in Indy and Coke 600(not quite willing to say win either) 8. Jimmie Johnson gets a top five 9. Truex misses the playoffs 10. Suarez gets two wins, with one being Sonoma
My 10 bold predictions: 01) Kyle Busch does not win the Daytona 500. Exactly how he ends the race i will not risk a guess on. 02) At least one watermelon gets smashed 03) Chevrolet will win the most races in at least one series. 04) Hendrick Motorsports cars win at least five races across the four entries 05) Spire's Truck Series team only wins with Kyle Busch driving, much like their Busch-owned predecessors according to Ben Rhodes earlier in the decade 06) Someone between cars 91, 60, 62, 84, and 67 finds themselves either close to a win or in a wall. I would include Kostecki but his planned number is currently unknown (though not 9 or 99 like Erebus fields in Australia because both are taken already). 07) At some point, Zane Smith is involved in someone's car igniting. I blame his COTA burnout for this one. 08) If the Cup Series does race at Chicago, at least one caution is because car 10 got wedged in the tire barrier somewhere again 09) Someone goes airborne during a race. Probably won't involve Ryan Newman somewhere unless he enters a race somewhere during the season. 10) Either two teammates will run into each other or a Big One wipes out every one of a team's multiple cars. Hendrick twice had three of their four cars caught in the same Big One early in the 2010s while teammate collisions are always possible.
@@DoglegMediaMatt With number 6 i mainly went with the known part-time cars (Project 91 for Trackhouse, RFK's Stage 60, Beard Motorsports' car currently fielding the 62 Brendan Gaughan drove in his early years in the Trucks, Jimmie using the reverse of his longtime Hendrick number, and 23XI's third car). As for number 8, i picked car 10 as the one in a tire barrier somewhere because it's the same driver who thrice found tire barriers while driving Legacy's 42.
Pretty good predictions overall, nothing really crazy. Honestly I'd say your Ty Gibbs pick is less likely than your Brad K pick. Nothing against Gibbs, he just has three star teammates and a stacked cup field. I'm not a fan of charters and like the days of a 43 car field. The top-35 points rule failed quickly, I'm surprised the charter system has lasted. I've got thoughts about them, I'll hold them for later. I think that SVG will run better than Steve Kinser or Dario Franchitti, he will not have the crossover success or consistency as JPM, Ambrose or AJA. Elliott will definitely run better in '24, I think he will either get bumped out in the round of 8, maybe 12. Bowman's sprint car crash definitely derailed his good start. Maybe having the winter to heal and rebuild, he'll be back stronger than in '23. I would love to see Lewis Hamilton in a top car to test him and the field. Not sure how Brodie will do either, the next gen car does have supercars flavoring, the driving is a totally different, I don't want to say style, maybe intensity. Thanks again for a great video and look forward to more!
@@DoglegMediaMatt thank you, I thought your predictions were well thought out and definitely not unattainable. I appreciate the content that you bring. And how genuinely interested in the history of Nascar that you are.
I’d say some of your predictions are out of order for least to most bold. Your first two predictions were far more bold than the third and fourth predictions and arguably on par with a couple of a later prediction. Literally I’d say a bounce back year for Chase shouldn’t qualify is bold.
Yeah, I’m hearing the Ty prediction is more bold than some others. I personally don’t think Chase bouncing back is bold, but have you heard his fan base? They think the guy has fallen off a cliff 😂
for your number six here are my guesses on what numbers would be used for each team if they get a new car RCR could see them fielding either the 29 or the 88 I think the 88 seems the most likely track house feel like the main option is the 91 RFK definitely the 60 Kaulig would have the 13 Front row definitely number 36 rick ware really anything from 52 to 54 but 52 seems to have the most history with the team so I'm gonna go with 52 23xl Would have 67 and legacy motors would just have the 84 also, a chance some teams could just become permanent like live fast motorsports 78 or NY with the 44 also, an Xfinity or track series team could possibly move up to cup
My bold prediction is that Corey LaJoie finally wins Atlanta this year, since Corey has come close how many times to winning at that track and with everything Spire is doing he will finally get that first career win, Carson Hocevar will be next, rip on his erratic antics all you want but the dude is talented I feel he will win in his rookie season, and Zane Smith gets a win before the playoffs. Really Zane Smith isn’t going to be winless and let Hocevar win rookie of the year that easily plus he also has a lot of talent. That’s right not only will Spire have all their drivers in the playoffs I feel like each of them will have at least one win and be locked in.
unfortunately, half of the time we don't even get a full 40 car roster at most tracks so I doubt we would have a full 45 which is why 42 seems to be the most likely expansion
If NASCAR doesn't change the race length during green flag laps at Chicago... SVG doesn't win and a lot of you aren't up his a$$ thinking he's a race car god, he'sjust another driver. Winning an oval race in NASCAR is hard, beating NASCAR veterans on an oval when you haven't raced ovals before... damn near impossible. You give Wallace to much credit. The only reason he even made the playoffs was because 2 Hendrick cars scored zero points for many weeks with Elliott and Bowman literally not even being in races. Your own words, if Chase wasn't out this year then he makes enough points for the playoffs.. well that right there kicks Wallace out of the playoffs this past season. If Bowman doesnt get hurt racing dirt, he almost certainly earns more points than the 23 too. Keslowski winning a championship? I admit he has lifted that team up by going there but he's not even the best driver on the team. Wins have to count for something, and only one driver there won a race, multiple actually, and his name wasn't Brad Keslowski. I understand the point of the video is "bold" predictions but cmon man... a little to bold in my opinion on some of these. Wrong on SVG winning at an oval unless NASCAR changes the race length in race to fit his pit schedule again, Wallace doesn't improve from his 2023 standings because he's not a better driver than 16 other drivers through an entire season, and Keslowski is a better owner than a driver now and should be asking ask Chris Buesher for racing tips.
So the pit strategy had no play on SVG winning, he was actually one of the guys to get the short end of the stick by them delaying it. He also followed up the win with a solid qualifying and finish at Indy. I don’t know if I can agree on that one. Bubba making the field because 2 HMS drivers were injured does hold merit, but I don’t believe it takes away the momentum and confidence boosted from a run like that. Brad K hasn’t won a race, you are right. However, given the success he’s had in turning that team around, it’s safe to say his priorities were tied there rather than his own driving career. It will be interesting to see how it plays out!
Alright So some are silly season heading into 2025, some are normal 2024 standings predictions Hemric Outshines many drivers, finishing top 20 in points Red Bull Comes back to NASCAR in all 3 series, running 2 cars in everyone and picking drivers with a lot of talent but little sponsorship. Kyle Busch wins the 500 and Denny gets the title. Bubba makes the round of 8 as does Ty. SHR sends a driver to the final 4. Elliot comes back to the final 4 with his teammate Byron.
Kind of bold but kind of not, I think Larson wins his first ever drafting track race. I would say it goes in either Atlanta or Talladega since those are the plate tracks he can be up towards the front in ( till he crashes. ) My other big predictions is I see RFK combined winning 6+ races, and Reddick makes the champ 4 with his first ever 3 win season. I also see Larson getting the most wins out of everyone this year, including the championship.
There is zero chance there will be new charters added. The owners that had to spent 30-40 mil are not going to be happy if NASCAR just gives teams ones. There is also no reason to expand the field to 42 if the vast majority of schedule, they cant get 40 to the track.

Here is a Bold Prediction for 2024... Nascar's Most Popular driver will find his way to winning the Daytona 500 in 2024 and a Hendrick driver who went winless and finished outside the Top-10 in points wins the Coca-Cola 600 and the Brickyard 400. Chase Elliott will win the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400 joining Jimmie Johnson, Dale Jarrett, and Jamie McMurray as the driver who did all this in the same year. I mean think about this... Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Daytona 500 in 2004 and in 2014. Jeff Gordon's first two victories came in 1994 during the races I've mentioned earlier. Three Crown Jewel races will be won.
Kyle Busch finally wins the Daytona 500. Because why not? Now that he's accepted his fate at the track, it would be twisted irony for him to finally get the win.
Sorry but the Lewis rumor is happening until at least 2026 cause he has shown faith that Mercedes can make a title winning by at least the new regulations
Prediction i hope doesnt come true, Kyle Busch will have a bad season due to it being an even number year (2012, 2020, 2022, 2024?) the season will have 0 wins for the first time ever and he will miss the round of 12.

10. Kris Wright will prove he is a crappy driver by somehow getting less wins and top 5’s that part-time William Sawalich, and will be locked in a championship fight with Andres Perez.
I thought I’d show my championship 4 predictions, so here they are in order, (Arca is just top 4)
Cup, Christopher Bell, Joey Logano, Kyle Larson, William Byron
Xfinity, A.J. Allmendinger, Sam Mayer, Justin Allgaier, Austin Hill
Truck, Christian Eckes, Corey Heim, Ty Majeski, Nick Sanchez
Arca, Andreas Pérez, Kris Wright, Christian Rose, Lavar Scott
Love it! You have some great predictions! Join us in the Discord!
@@DoglegMediaMatt I don’t have discord, so I don’t believe that’s possible
SHR goes winless, Bowman wins a race, Chevy as a manufacturer struggles through the summer and into the playoffs, Circuit Gilles Villenueve is on the cup and xfinity schedule in 2025, and Toyota wins their first drafting track race(s) of the next gen era in 2024.
Love the Montreal prediction!
Here are my 10 bold predictions (may change by end of the month)
1. Chastain has a rough season and a lot of awful luck, and Suarez is the more successful driver this year
2. Bell has the most wins heading into the playoffs
3. SHR will have a bounce back year with Briscoe and Berry especially
4. A driver of either the 91, 60 or 67 will come close to winning a race this year
5. Ty Gibbs has a strong season but fails to win, missing the playoffs much like Truex a couple years ago
6. Toyota will win the most Cup races
7. First half of the year will be plagued with rain, second half will be bone dry with little to no rain affecting races
8. Alex Bowman will win multiple races
9. Nemechek and Gilliland will perform on par with, or better than their teammates this year
10. Indianapolis will be an absolute banger of a race and considered one of the season’s best (I will be there so I hope this happens)
Toyota having the most wins while Gibbs doesn’t have any is a bold take for sure! Great list!
Agreed Bowmans last 1/2 of the year was dismal. But that being said that second half he was wrecked in the final laps running top 5 multiple times. He probably should have made the playoffs if it wasn't for his continual spat with denny.
I think for the double an Indycar star should try NASCAR. Maybe Newgarden or McLaughlin with Penske as a 4th car.
I love this idea!

Yessir!
My ten bold predictions
There are three I agree on
1. Elliott bounces back
2. Bowman continues to struggle
3. Lewis Hamilton drives the 67
4. Bubba gets to the round of 8 however only wins once
5. Hamlin goes winless(might be dreaming about this one)
6. Byron wins the championship
7. Larson gets top three in Indy and Coke 600(not quite willing to say win either)
8. Jimmie Johnson gets a top five
9. Truex misses the playoffs
10. Suarez gets two wins, with one being Sonoma
Your number 5 and 8 predictions make me very happy! 😂
My 10 bold predictions:
01) Kyle Busch does not win the Daytona 500. Exactly how he ends the race i will not risk a guess on.
02) At least one watermelon gets smashed
03) Chevrolet will win the most races in at least one series.
04) Hendrick Motorsports cars win at least five races across the four entries
05) Spire's Truck Series team only wins with Kyle Busch driving, much like their Busch-owned predecessors according to Ben Rhodes earlier in the decade
06) Someone between cars 91, 60, 62, 84, and 67 finds themselves either close to a win or in a wall. I would include Kostecki but his planned number is currently unknown (though not 9 or 99 like Erebus fields in Australia because both are taken already).
07) At some point, Zane Smith is involved in someone's car igniting. I blame his COTA burnout for this one.
08) If the Cup Series does race at Chicago, at least one caution is because car 10 got wedged in the tire barrier somewhere again
09) Someone goes airborne during a race.
Number 6 has me excited that Jimmie could be in contention to win, and number 8 made me spit out my coffee from laughing 😂
I predict that Larson will win the double and I would also like to see SBG attempt the double in at least 2026
Love it!
My big prediction: Kyle Larson runs top 6 in the Indy 500 hops on a plane and proceeds to win the Coke 600.
I agree!
not really that weird of a prediction, but I just feel like we're gonna see something with a 00 kind of number like 07 06 or 03
Pretty good predictions overall, nothing really crazy.
Love the analysis of the predictions! You rock!
They think the guy has fallen off a cliff 😂
for your number six here are my guesses on what numbers would be used for each team if they get a new car
RCR could see them fielding either the 29 or the 88 I think the 88 seems the most likely
track house feel like the main option is the 91
RFK definitely the 60
Kaulig would have the 13
Front row definitely number 36
rick ware really anything from 52 to 54 but 52 seems to have the most history with the team so I'm gonna go with 52
23xl Would have 67
and legacy motors would just have the 84
also, a chance some teams could just become permanent like live fast motorsports 78 or NY with the 44
also, an Xfinity or track series team could possibly move up to cup
Love it!!
@@DoglegMediaMatt I’m glad I wasn’t sure if this one is too bold
@@Wisconsin222definitely not!
And sure, as a fan I'd love a 45 car field, but I also understand that someone has to pay for it
Yeah, I totally understand that!
unfortunately, half of the time we don't even get a full 40 car roster at most tracks so I doubt we would have a full 45 which is why 42 seems to be the most likely expansion
My bold prediction is Corey LaJoie gets his first win at Atlanta
Man a lot of people think this! I would love to see it!
Alright So some are silly season heading into 2025, some are normal 2024 standings predictions
Hemric Outshines many drivers, finishing top 20 in points
Red Bull Comes back to NASCAR in all 3 series, running 2 cars in everyone and picking drivers with a lot of talent but little sponsorship.
Brad, Gibbs and Bubba miss the playoffs but win
Tyler Reddick and Chris Buescher are the 2 main championship contenders
Reddick,Bell,Buescher,Byron are your championship 4
JRM does a similar thing to Spire and GainBridge with DHL, Taco Bell, and Citgo, gets 2 charters
Jake Garcia joins The Wood Brothers
Ben Rhodes goes full time in cup
Chip Ganassi Racing runs Fords, #49, and gets Matty D in Cup
Eckes to RFK #16, as Kaulig renumbers #16 to #32
TrackHouse has 2 non-chartered full-time entries, as Marks has talked about that
RCR has Hill run #27 instead of #33
Gray Gaulding replaces Hill in Xfinity
Kaulig in Xfinity has both Parker Retzlaff and Ty Majeski full time
Trackhouse expands into Xfinity, with DGM Trackhouse Racing
Connor Mosack to TRICON #11
Ty Dillon,Jake Garcia,Christian Eckes, and Corey Heim are the 2024 truck series championship 4
Xfinity will be Smith,Custer,Allgaier,and Mayer.

Todd Gilliland will have a great year
Chris Buescher wins the cup championship

Wow! I would love to see it!
Kyle Busch wins the 500 and Denny gets the title. Bubba makes the round of 8 as does Ty. SHR sends a driver to the final 4. Elliot comes back to the final 4 with his teammate Byron.
Hamlin winning the title isn’t my favorite prediction 😂
I think that Ty will get 2 wins
Bubba will win 1
I think that chase will only get 1 win
I’m glad we at least agree on Ty!
SVG is the real deal!! You'll see
Kind of bold but kind of not, I think Larson wins his first ever drafting track race.
I could see those happening! Never count out Larson!
I predict Kyle Larson joins Tony Stewart by completing all 1100 miles and a big long shot but he wins both races.
WINS BOTH??? That’s wild, but I’m here for it
For your sixth bold prediction entry:
1. Trackhouse
2. FRM
3. RFK Racing
FRM is interesting!
I assume your picks of Trackhouse and RFK are so Project 91 and Stage 60 become full-time rides. As for FRM, what number would that end up as?

@@DoglegMediaMatt lmfao RFK IS BACK so it is possible
There is zero chance there will be new charters added. The owners that had to spent 30-40 mil are not going to be happy if NASCAR just gives teams ones. There is also no reason to expand the field to 42 if the vast majority of schedule, they cant get 40 to the track.
I also think Lewis Hamilton will win a NASCAR race if he runs one if it's on a road course
Tbh most top end gt/formual drivers could win a nascar race on a road course.
@@rexthewolf3149Kimi, Button, Kobayashi all failed. SVG is an exapsion. It was the first street race for most other. Hamilton whoud probably be fast tho
Love it!
Bell will win the championship 🙏
I know you’re hoping for that!
I don't think Gibbs will be higher than Bell and Hamlin, they still too good (they both were top 5 in standings 2 years in a row, so...)
Kyle Busch finally wins the Daytona 500. Because why not? Now that he's accepted his fate at the track, it would be twisted irony for him to finally get the win.
