- We took the hour train to Thanjavur, also known as Tanjore, in the state of Tamil Nadu. Here we visited an underwhelming palace and a beautiful Chola Empire temple called Brahidsvara.

80 ton dome on top of the temple ? They say a ramp was created to pull the 80 ton dome to the top. A Masterpiece !
