In regards to the grinding they basically made a patch day one that lowered the increase cost from 24 to 12 so everything cost half to upgrade. also the point is that if you go to the next map you lose half of everything you have earned (+ everything you earn during the map) if you lose the map, so people basically keeps going into maps they cant handle, die, then lose the skulls, also on top of that the amount of combos (unique damage sources before dying) also increases skulls. so after killing a few bosses which makes the runs longer you get like 2k for doing 3 maps and just quitting. EDIT: Also you can save between maps now.
@ its a matter of deciding if you can actually handle the next map with your modifiers, you are meant to not just keep pressing next map mindlessly but actually consider it.
@@zoulsgaming9455 and that’s bad design. Half the fun of a roguelite is seeing if you can push with a suboptimal build. The game shouldn’t disincentivize the player from continuing, especially early game when you don’t actually know what you can handle and meta progression is so important and a key pull to keep the player playing
@@zoulsgaming9455 really? So on launch solo players with 16 barricades and 2 rifts and 4 doors in the arboretum were losing bc of “bad trap placement”? You don’t have to blindly boot lick the game some design decisions just sent good and the devs seem to agree due to the changes they’re making
So far, barricade limit is really bad, they took the only thing that made each map customizable to individual players completely out, the maps I've played have all been super open, no easy path blocks, nowhere reliable to put traps, no guardians or trinkets, every person I've gotten into a game with eventually just gives up. Really hope both of these things change. Barricade limit is really against the entire spirit of the game. It goes against the entire point of barricades. I'd pay so much for barricades, the limit, limits creativity, combo potential, solo potential.
On the plus side, limiting barricades means you can't just make a huge snake around the whole mission and need to get more creative. I played the hardest difficulty in omd 3, and barricades weren't too useful because they were destroyed often and so you needed to find a different way. So far the barricade limit just means I need to strategize more.
1:26 You forgot to mention she doesn't just summon A skeleton. It's a Skeleton voiced my Christopher Sabat. The prince of Saiyajin himself. The all mighty Piccolo. All freaking Might.
0:25 IDK why people dislike Unchained so much. its both my personal favorite, as well as my ENTIRE friend groups' favorite(Mostly because of all the playable characters and their skins). so much so, we've downloaded a mod to continue to play it to this day even after the servers were shut down. OMD2 and 3 just didnt sit right for us. Was barely able to get into the other games at all. But Deathtrap seems to be pretty fun for us all so far. I'm just Hoping they add more characters.
This game wasn't bad, it could use some tweaks and some upgrades to make it not so choppy. Honestly i think after patches and feedback, people will enjoy this game.
Who signs off on these things? Take an established formula and dilute it. That way long-standing fans and new players alike will quickly move on. Very strange

The skull betting makes no sense. Shouldn’t be possibly punished for just continuing the game

@@TrueGamer22887 if you lose its rarely due to the "sub optimal build" thats randomized its cause you are bad at trap placement

You said there were multiple characters but the footage is just the same lady the entire time.
