  • Hey Sweet Peeps, in this video I will be showing you how to make these trending Kool-Aid Candied Pineapples💕
    Kool-Aid Pineapples:
    1 Can Pineapple Rings in Juice
    1/3 C Sugar (add more or less to taste)
    1/3 C Water
    1 Packet Kool-Aid of choice
    Candy Recipe:
    3 C Sugar
    1 C Water
    1/2 C Karo

    Thank you for the inspiration i live in texas and i would love to add them to my menu but i wouldnt know how to price them. I charge $20 for 6 candied pineapple and $30 for 12 reg candied.

    What temperature do you set the stove? Also how do you clean the pot with excess candy leftover?

      My stove has numbers so I usually set it between 6 and 7. As far as cleaning I fill about halfway with water and boil it until clean.

      They honestly start to break down within a few hours but they last longer if frozen after dipping.

    So if not served after do u freeze them again ? Or are they okay at room temp covered ?

      Yes I freeze them ASAP to help prevent them from breaking down.

    I tried this yesterday and couldn't get the coating to harden quickly as I don't have a freezer,how can I harden the coating quickly

      The coating should harden without being refrigerated or placed in a freezer as long as you cook your mixture to the hard crack stage at 300 degrees

      I used 1/3 c but you can use more or less depending on how sweet you want it.

      Due to the high water content in the fruit they aren’t meant to last long at all. You can slow down the melting process by freezing them after dipping.

      @@mafiva45 ​​⁠ They can last a few days in the freezer after dipping. However, I always make them same day and keep them in the freezer until client picks up.

    So, my son’s first birthday is coming up and I want to make these for his party. Is it okay for me to make them like two days before his party or does it have to be the day of??

      I would recommend making them the day of due to the high water content in the pineapple which causes the candy to break down fast

      @@kaylah_baylah4549 berries and grapes can break down fast too but last a little longer than pineapples.. Freezing the fruit after dipping does slow down the melting process for a longer shelf life
