- One person died and others were hurt in a mine tour incident on Thursday in Cripple Creek, which is located in Teller County, Colorado. A rescue operation was also underway.
Nice job in leading and communicating by the Sheriff.
Been down in the mine. Was a great experience. Prayers for all. Great job Sheriff. Leading. To get rest up safely.
This is crazy...I grew up going down in that mine..getting tours and giving tours...
I had this tour on a list of places to go on my next vacation. 😬
@@Dina-lc4bt I would still go. It is the safest mine tour in the world.
I’ve done several mine tours, and always wondered while I was down there, what would we do if things went bad. Luckily they never did.
Me too.
Oh boy, I hope the person that died wasn’t there with their kids
I just dont know how i could ever go down that derp withiut abdolute panic. Hats off to those brave people and pray for their safe return to surface.😢
Prayers for All❣️
ThankYou Responders 😊
There's NO WAY I'd go down into a mine!
Prayers 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Those are high fives, not praying hands
1000ft 12 people...? Hopefully, they're alright
Chilling praying for everyone
My Step-Father was a Uranium miner in the sixties. It was not Good Working Conditions back then. Exposure risk was High. Hope it is better now!
No more mine tours for me next time I'm in CO.
I went on one mine tour that was fine. I would have been able to walk out if there was a malfunction.
Why not? People go to heaven in car accidents every day. Do you still drive or ride in cars?
Homestake Gold Mine, Lead, South Dakota, (the Largest Gold Mine in America until closing in 2001), offers Above-ground Tours!
Excellent communication - Maui County could take a lesson from these people.
Stuff happens. Sometimes stuff happens that is not the result of neglect or careless behavior or recklessness. Not every bad thing is someone's fault. Some of us choose to take some level of risk. If we didn't have people who willingly took on risk we would have no police, no fire fighters and almost no sports or other physical activities.
1x accident and death, I would never trust the mine tour again.
Do you trust cars enough to drive one or ride in one practically every day?
Just wondering because you're probably a few thousand times more likely to go to heaven when grandpa falls asleep at the wheel or that party goer with a BAC of 0.2 crosses the centerline than you would be on any type of tour whatsoever.
Eh. Don't mind me. I am just being logical and rational.
LAWYERS ARE ON THIS LIKE FLIES ON POOP 😢
I’ve been down the road through Cripple Creek. Very remote!
The place has to have insurance to open this to the public , no different than an amusement ride in a park
🙏 Praying for the person that Perished in the mine, that this soul will receive all the prayers needed for Heaven ! 🙏 🙏 🙏 Praying for all those trapped in the mine that GOD'S holy angels will miraculously surround protect and lift these people out of this mine! 🙏 😇 🙏 asking this in the Most Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
It’s funny that the certificates you see in elevators now is Homeland Security. Hmmmmm…….
Prayer 🙏
I hope everyone is ok I sure would not Polis involved in anything he's done enough damage already.
Now there is audio!
My dad took us to some odd tourist traps, but nothing like that.
No audio
Get to the facts 😢
Probably don't have too many facts.
🙏
Oh, God, please help! amen
It must be so cold down there. Is there electric lighting?
Apparently, it's about 50F/10C down there, so not hot, but not freezing either.
Tho mines tend to be deep either horizontally or vertically, they usually keep a moderate temperature, quite often cooler than the outside air but not necessarily COLD. Cool maybe. Prayers for the families and employees.
I don’t know what the depth is, ??? but at some point it starts to get hotter as you get deeper. At Yellowstone the heat comes right on up to the surface.
They are fine. They have plenty of ventilation, blankets if they need them and there is even a water line. If they have to stay down there for the night or whatever I am sure they can lower food, etc. down to them. It is safely bringing them up that is the issue.
@Bitterrootbackroads i think 1,000 ft.
Why do people insist on taking tours into mines or deep in the ocean? Do we really need such an experience, considering the dangers? How about we utilize our best technology to reproduce the same experience, safely? Like, by using Visual Reality visors?
I was in a visual experience amusement where you stand in front of a projector screen. Even though it is obvious that you are just standing in a tent, on the ground, everybody is grabbing the rail in front of them and moving around like it is real. Thus is because many of the brain center can't rationalize over what the eyes are seeing. I guarantee that you don't need to do anything real to actual expereniece it unless it requires touch.
You're joking.
Exactly what I said. And why would parents allow their children to do something so dangerous? Color me NOT surprised. Just because something is open for tourist these days doesn't mean its safe nor inspected regularly. 1000ft is a LONG WAY down especially in a runaway elevator. Horrific expierence.
Well, whoever owns that business has just lossed business. They will need to find another line of work after the lawsuits.
There is insurance.
This is what America looks like and sounds like when we have our heads on straight!
matt and trey parker prophets. truly sad deaths
Hold the Owners accountable. No MAGA Immunity.
What's wrong with you?
Past your bedtime.
Da fuq?
MAGA immunity? What on earth are you talking about? How dare you take a jab at Donald Trump at this time and in this circumstance!! Get a soul.
For realz??
Are people so desperate for excitement they no longer use common sense? Why would people choose to do such tourist events that could be dangerous? 12 people in a mine elevator?
The Molly Kathleen Mine tours have been going on for half a century. This may be their only great fail.
They will have to dig them up so they can bury them.
Old fat Caucasian men. Cover the companies profits while the working class will pay the lawsuits. 🤦🏻♀️
Tell us again how that works .
When is the last time the working class paid any lawsuit against a business? BTW, those "old fat caucasian men" aren't royalty. 1 or 2 might be independently wealthy but I would venture a guess that they were/are all part of the working class.
PLEASE DO. WITH YOUR FACTS PLEASE..
PEOPLE WHO TALK LIKE YOU..ALWAYS END UP BEING THE RACIST...
Free rap icon P. Diddy!
What are you talking about? Did he escape and go on a mine tour?
So, I hear you like kids.
"We have the best people" I've heard another guy say that too. It means nothing. There is no such thing as a safe mine.
Also people should think before they do tours . We do things we shouldn't for fun all the time on vacations
Why doesn't people think more before they do things on vacation
I bet they even drove there.
Do you see what I did here?
I actually thought about it! lol
@@ut000bs You know what I am saying. We do not always think of safety when we should
Life isn’t safe, the drive there was probably more dangerous than the tour. Unfortunate accident, like most accidents are.
