I love when interviewers ACTUALLY cares about this artist. This interview was so genuine and real. It's so rare these days because most interviews just seems so scripted and generic but THIS is so real. And you can see that the interview actually cared about the artist and knew a lot about the artist. Truly a wonderful thing to witness! 😌

I feel like I couldn’t interview St. Vincent because I would be so quiet because that’s how I am around people I adore. I appreciate the interviewer’s passion though I would be a little uncomfortable if I was Annie but I still feel the interviewer is being genuine.
Thank you for the interview. A few things, the interviewer is super loud and St. Vincent is super quiet.
Also, while I'm sure that she appreciated the compliments, they were way too frequent all throughout the interview and appeared to make her uncomrtable at times. The repetitiveness of the compliments made it seem disingenuous and at times, cringy. For an artist who takes themselves as seriously as St. Vincent does, the last thing she wants to hear is how much of a genius she is or someone talking her up over and over like that, like a crazed fan. She's doing a press tour and probably wanted to talk more about her album rather than sit there and be fawned over for half hour.
I enjoyed the latter bit of the interview more, but again she was super quiet.
