I've been trying to line my spin reels for weeks I watch 4 tutorials on how to line it and you are the only one that explained line direction thank you for taking the extra time and effort to really does mean alot
Jack, I'm so happy to help. I have a few other fishing line vids that you might be interested in. They are at my channel in the playlist section called "fishing line". Thanks for the support, KPO.
Idk if direction is all that crazy serious, what i do is spool it up, take the reel off the rod, and dunk it In a pot if boiling water for 30 seconds to a minute and it deletes the spool memory and shapes the string to your reel. I just fry it off after and shoot some lubricant in both sides of the top and bottom of the spool and then screw it back on
OH MAN! Thank you for slowly and visually explaining the line direction and spinning reel direction! Perfect for us visual learners who have to picture what a person is saying to connect the dots!! Your one video was way better than the last 4 I tried understanding today on this topic!
I think I can even do you one better. I did another vid on just the line direction LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html I think this video explains it even a little better. Thanks for the comment, KPO.
You did a excellent job on your videos you keep it simple without condescending tone and that's what makes your videos good. Keep it real, unscripted as much as you can, thanks for sharing. Excellent job stay awake, spread the word, protect the women and children.
Video was great, you explained things well so that even a Newby could understand. I figured out these things over the years, after many failed attempts and many tangles caused by line twist. Your explanation was one of the best I've come across on how it happens. Thx, and have a great fishing season
This is the absolute best and SIMPLE tutorial on avoiding line twist. I've been doing "hit and miss" with this line twist hassle for 75 years. At last a solution that doesn't require buying any gadgets or fooling around with other stuff. Just a piece of cake to do it like this.
Don Kenny, thanks so much for that comment. If there are any questions left, I did a follow up video, LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html thanks again, KPO.
Great video! I’m sold on the knot you use to tie off to the spool and the method of determining line direction. Thanks for taking the time to make this.
You tying the square/slip knot off of the reel and showing how to line up the spool with your reel really helped me as a visual learner that spaces stuff out easily, definitely keeping this bookmarked
Took my brand new Battle II 5000 for a spin yesterday for the very first time and I hooked a 20lb yellowtail using a Ugly Stik X2 (medium hard) rod ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . This combo was recommended on some website and it did not disappoint me. The reel is smooth, the drag click is pretty cool cause i think it adds to the excitement of fighting the fish, personally the drag is my favorite part. I use braid and 300 yards will fill the entire spool. This combo is my main setup from now on although I have to disclose I am new to fishing.
I watched a bunch of other videos to try and understand what they meant with coming off the spool and going on the reel the same way, yours was by far the best!
Duncan, thanks for taking the time to let me know that. Also check out two other vids I did, "Spooling a spinning reel - is there a wrong way to do it?" and "putting line on a spinning reel - is the myth true?". These two videos even add a little more to putting line on a spinning reel. Thanks again, KPO.
This is by far the best video to describe all of the key concepts that I've been screwing up. I picked up fishing again after a 20 year break from it and line twist has been the end of both my recent trips. I now know everything that I was doing wrong and how to correct it. Thank you.
seabaas, it will put a smile on my face if I can help you make up for 20 years of not fishing. We cannot let line twists impede all the catching up you have to do. Please let me know how everything works out. Thanks KPO
Thank you! So many channels overlook these early simple questions and know how. It's been decades since I've fished unfortunately, but I'm getting back into it and needed some help getting started again. Thank you so much for your help, just subbed and hope to see some more content!
Glad you liked it! You know, I still get questions about this from this video, so I did a follow up video. This might explain it even better. ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html Thanks for the comment, KPO.
Talk about perfect timing ☺️ I was just going to load fishing line on one of my fishing reels but I decided to watch you tube videos before I do it and there shows up this video from you to me 😀 . I greatly appreciate your help 👉🏻👍🏻☺️
Craig H, thanks a lot for that comment. I have a few other vids on the subject you might be interested in. Go to my channel and I have a fishing line playlist in the library section. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Putting a bit of tape on the spool with braided line helped me out a good bit. Also I never thought of the direction of the line coming off the spool, I used to just put the spool on an axle and live with what ever. Thanks again.
The spool on the axle works. I did it that way for many years too. I've just had better results with the method in this video. Thanks for watching, KPO.
This was exactly what I needed to see as a real beginner. I'd go to cast and BOOM, squirrel's nest. I'd get so angry and storm off the water, throwing my pole in the truck and vowing never to fish again. But the next day I was back at it, same story, different day. Came across this video and had no idea that there was a certain way to put line on the pole, etc. Thanks for this. Gold mine here.
Ethan, awesome to hear this is helping you out. Also you may want to check out some of my other fishing line vids at my channel. I have a fishing line playlist in the library section. Please keep me posted on how the fishing is going. Thanks for the comment, KPO.
Great video and very informative. I just started fishing again after 15+ years break. Your video just showed me what I was doing wrong back then and nowadays too :) Thanks.
Paul, we have 15 years of non-fishing to make up!!! We cannot let line twists hold us back!!! LOL Check out my channel for other fishing vids too. Keep me posted on how the fishing is going for you. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Thanks Nud ,you explained Dat very simply,my whole life I been doing it wrong and sometimes doing it correctly just by chance , my dad always told me when u put line on your reel u have to do it thru tall grass to stop it from coiling off spool and making a mess ...Your way is so much better.
Paul, I fished from a kayak for the first time this past summer. Lots of fun. Let me know how the kayak fishing goes this summer. I hope to have a few yak videos this summer. I'm new to it so maybe a few fail videos. KPO
Any other line issues come up check out these other vids I did, LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/azcAM8cvZIs/v-deo.html Thanks for the support, KPO.
The more I watch your videos, the more I learn. Very practical tips and I will be using this technique from now on. Thank you for yet another great video. All the best to you and yours. Merry Christmas!
The same thing’s I learned about filling reels some 55 yrs ago. Some things weren’t made to change there sadly not passed on. Good job 👍 keep teaching old and young
For more than two seasons, the line on my spool with super line on it, was turning on the spool. I screwed with the brake thinking it was causing the problem. JUST discovered the entire spool of wire linewas spinning on the spool itself! Just as it was explained in this fantastic video!!
Fraters, glad you got that problem worked out my friend. When you go fishing you don't want to be dealing with these problems. Thanks for the positive comment. I'm always happy to hear my videos help out a little. Also thanks for watching. KPO
Great video Dave. I have another tip you may enjoy: because the line coming off the spool is going on generally a smaller reel size spool, it helps prevent birds nests and line issues if you take off your reel spool placing it in tap hot water for 5-10 minutes to readapt line memory to the new size . Tight lines
I watched all of the manufacturers videos and your explanation was the first that I understood the line coming off the spoil matching it going on the reel to avoid twists.
Thank you for explaining it clearly and in a non-condescending way. It's like having my favourite (late) uncle explain it to me. Thank you! I get you are monetizing with the commercials, but if you have too many, people won't watch another, or stick in.
I've been fishing about 65 years and still screw this up at least once a year. With braid I spool on some mono and then tie the braid to the mono with a double uni knot; sometimes tip the braid with fluorocarbon, again with a double uni. The braid won't slip when spooled on top of a few layers of mono. Good video; clear, good pace.
Excellent job of explaining just about EVERYTHING. Keep up the great videos. You keep it simple and on point. Thank you. I think you have solved a lot of common problems facing recreational fishermen.
Ron Davey, thanks for taking the time to put down that comment. I do enjoy the thought of helping other fishermen (and women) enjoy the sport more. I also have a few other fishing line videos that add a little more to the conversation. Thanks again, KPO
Haven't been fishing for several years, great and clear information to get back in the game! Awesome job with the video. Good sound, (no music! Yay!) Subbing!
I have been fishing for over 55 years now (with all sorts of techniques) But I have NEVER noticed your information. Thanks for the new information for me at least (Most of it)
SNazarene, glad this helped. Also, check out some of the other vids I have on putting line on a spinning reel. Go to my channel and I have a "fishing line" playlist in the library section. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Thank you. I did another vid on just the line direction part. Some fisherman feel it's explained even better in that vid. Here's a link if your interested LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html Thanks again, KPO.
Mike, you may also be interested in another vid I did, just incase you get some line twists. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/azcAM8cvZIs/v-deo.html Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Great detailed tutorial. I wish I had watched this a few decades ago. I use a device I bought on the cheap online to help me with spooling line that makes things way eaier.
Thanks, you know the pencil method does work, but I've had the best results with the method in this video. I have a few other fishing line vids at my channel playlist titled "Fishing Line". You might enjoy those too. Thanks so much for watching, KPO.
Scott, it makes a big difference doesn't it. I got a few other fishing line vids at my channel you might like too. Check out the "fishing line" playlist in the library section. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Thank you very much. Here's a couple other fishing line vids I did too - ua-cam.com/video/hNxv7dzz4P4/v-deo.html, ua-cam.com/video/0IsIJFyH13A/v-deo.html. You might like these also. Thanks again, KPO.
I'm just joking man. I just got back into fishing this summer. I love it and it's a life saving lifestyle change. I appreciate all u guys out there making these vids for guys like me that are starting all over lol god bless yall!
Your are welcome Juan. Also check out this playlist LINK - ua-cam.com/play/PLksX0m4wrQHz-o6I-_G7sgc49bjxWIjh1.html for other fishing line vids. Thanks, KPO.
It's all about the actual direction the line comes off the spool by manually checking it like you demonstrated. DON'T go by the label on the spool like some others tell you to do folks. I have two different spools on my bench right now, LABELS UP, coming off in opposite directions. Find out which way it comes off and DRAW THE ARROW. Great video my friend. Take care and good fishing!
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors I watched that one already also. I was putting backing mono on last night and for some reason had the spool wrong side up. (Even with the arrow drawn, go figure) Actually saw the horrible line twist after about 6-10 turns. Proof positive. Thanks again!
Thank you. I was just about going to where I buy my line and have them put my line.on for me . Last time I did it myself I had a terrible time could mot figure out what I did wrong . But now I know about line direction. No one else has mentioned this before. Thank you very much for this video.
Thank you. This is a very practical approach. BTW I had that very same problem with the stranded line spinning on the spool...tapw works just fine. Coke owes you big time gor this video!
Nothing wrong with a cold Pepsi either. If interested in more fishing line vids check out my playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLksX0m4wrQHz-o6I-_G7sgc49bjxWIjh1.html Thanks for the comment, KPO.
Thank you so much for the simplest explanation and proper demonstration. I've shared the link with many of the group members who have just begun their fishing expedition. Great video buddy !!
Sylvester, you are very welcome my friend. Thanks for sharing and supporting the channel. I am going to be doing more videos aimed at people who are just starting out in fishing, so I hope I can keep on informing your members. Thanks again. KPO
i have seen so many vids on how they think a proper spooling should be done and no way to tell what is the correct method, now i agree with every point you made here so good job but a thought came to mind that i can spool line on my reel any way and then when im done simply get a large bearing snap swivel and attach my line to it and use the snap to attach it to a fence and then start walking back and unspooling it all the way ,then slowly put a bit of tension on the whole length of line and let go a few time then start spooling it all back on, i believe this helps stretch the memory out and the bearing swivel removes any twist on the entire line so that the whole length of it is straight without twist before you start reeling it in, and after that you can always dunk the spool in hot water and leave it till it cools down or leave it in there for a few days which helps to remove memory and shape it to that diameter of the reel spool,, let me know what you think about using the snap swivel like that
I was getting SO frustrated trying to spool my first reel ever (much less a spinning one) until I found your video. The other 2 I watched weren't as helpful. You also taught me my first "slip knot". Thank you so much! You spared this flustered beginner some tears.
Shay, thanks for the comment. Remember if you do get a few twists let them run out like I described in the video. Also you might be interested in some of the other fishing line vids I have at my channel. Thanks for watching, KPO.
MoonGlow, thanks for adding in. It helps the viewers to understand that this really is the way to put mono on a spinning reel. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Oh my god, you explained this beautifully!!!! I just subbed and clicked the thumbs 👍up button! Can't wait to share this with my hubby. We had to find a hobby where we won't kill each other. And fishing was it! lol (I won't touch a gun or go off-roading...and he won't watercolor-paint or crochet! lol Go figure.
Sylvia, thank you so much. Fishing is a great hobby. My wife and I fish together a lot. I've been thinking for a while I need to make more vids for people just getting started with fishing. So keep an eye out. I guess if you guys don't kill each other I've done my job. LOL Thanks again. KPO
@Sparka What is never taken into consideration is the different diameter of each spool . A smaller reel spool rotates (twist) the line more than the same amount of line comming off of a larger spool.
In this very short 11minutes & change you have answered one of the brains of my fishing with spincast reels😀 I've tried probably a half a dozen different ways to solve this issue. This is the one reason my wife refuses to use one of these reels. Thank You You are A God Send. Oh and yeah your Tube gets a sub from me too.👍
Great vid! Another tip is to use cheaper backer line on the inside of the reel. You never get to the back half when fishing anyway, and saves some moola! Go Pack!!!
rick berg, thanks for adding in the backer tip. I'm looking to the defensive line to generate a pass rush this year. Rogers back with a run game is going to be nasty for opposing teams. So, yes, I agree...…….Go Pack. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Glad it was helpful! I did a follow up video that maybe even clears things up even a little better LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html Thanks for the comment, KPO.
That video is nonsense. Dont use time wasting slipknot and have the spool revoving-not on its side. Ispool dozens of customers every week like this. Be very careful who you listen to when it comes to fishing!
R Hokie, the pencil way isn't terrible, it just isn't the best way. I did another video on the subject, it's called "putting line on a spinning reel - is there a wrong way to do it". You might want to check that one out too. In that vid I actually spool a reel 3 dif ways and you can see which works best. Go to my channel and I have a fishing line playlist if interested. We're never too old to learn, right? LOL. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Thaks for the vid.helps I'm going to keep watching it cause. me & my boy's just starting these hobby I use to door ass kid back in EL SALVADOR its lots of fun but we dot use such fancy fishing rods a strong stick and line thanks for info.
Pelamela Ojo, I love hearing that you and your boys are going to be fishing. Any questions you have I will be happy to try and help you out. Thanks for watching, KPO.
Dennis Marble, if you're interested I have a couple of other spinning reel/fishing line vids on a playlist at my channel. They kind of tie into this video. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors yes. Braid and even old braid is an excellent backing. I usually just put on enough to cover the spool twice or three times over then spool on 100 rotations of mono or whatever you like to use. I never fill my spools up all the way on casters. No need to.
Great video! One of the best explanations on how to spool a spinning reel. One question: If you don't own a boat, what's an alternative way to get rid of line twists?
Sandi, since you have had trouble with your line in the past let me recommend another vid for you that I did. Link - ua-cam.com/video/azcAM8cvZIs/v-deo.html This video deals with line problems also. I hope these videos help get you on the right track. And yes please let me know how it works out. KPO
great video, 7th one I watch first time I get the direction. I just bought to spinning reels to use for finesse type techiques, and had no idea how the line should go on.
Michael, I did another vid that explains it even better, LINK -ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html If you're interested. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
I’ve also seen people tie a few feet of mono to braided and tie the mono to the reel that way you don’t run into the issue of your line spinning on the reel. It’s more work than putting tape but it works very well.

With braid I spool on some mono and then tie the braid to the mono with a double uni knot; sometimes tip the braid with fluorocarbon, again with a double uni. The braid won't slip when spooled on top of a few layers of mono. Good video; clear, good pace.
Thanks for the comment!
Yay!) Subbing!
scruffytech, yes! get back in the game! Make time for it! Thanks so much for watching and thanks for the sub, KPO.
Don't feel alone, I'm in the same boat!
Best explanation on this topic that I've found yet. Thanks a lot.
Thank you. I did another vid on just the line direction part. Some fisherman feel it's explained even better in that vid. Here's a link if your interested LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html Thanks again, KPO.
Wow - such a good explanation and demonstration ! much better than the other videos I've seen on this subject. thanks
Glad to hear it! Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
For A Beginner @ 60 This is a Fundamental that I truly needed, Thank You n God Bless.
Allen, thanks for the comment. KPO
Wow great video. Nicely explained. I never realized the little details of doing it right. It makes sense now that i know.
Thanks, you know the pencil method does work, but I've had the best results with the method in this video. I have a few other fishing line vids at my channel playlist titled "Fishing Line". You might enjoy those too. Thanks so much for watching, KPO.
Bout time somebody else figured it out been doing it for 40 years thanks
Scott, it makes a big difference doesn't it. I got a few other fishing line vids at my channel you might like too. Check out the "fishing line" playlist in the library section. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Excellent demonstration and easy to understand. Subbed because of that. Thanks!
Thank you very much. Here's a couple other fishing line vids I did too - ua-cam.com/video/hNxv7dzz4P4/v-deo.html, ua-cam.com/video/0IsIJFyH13A/v-deo.html. You might like these also. Thanks again, KPO.
That mono equivalent diameter info was great. Did not know that, thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
I'm just joking man. I just got back into fishing this summer. I love it and it's a life saving lifestyle change. I appreciate all u guys out there making these vids for guys like me that are starting all over lol god bless yall!
I know, I noticed the LOL. But I know I can be a little boring sometimes. Great to hear you're getting back into fishing and thanks for watching, KPO.
Very good and simple directions , nice!!
Thanks for watching, KPO.
Really great job, clear and concise with other good tips as well. Thanks!
Steven Powell, thanks so much for the feedback and thanks for watching, KPO.
First video of 6 to properly explain this. Thank you very much!
Absolutely! I did another video on just that subject, ua-cam.com/video/yhcHmWD7DcA/v-deo.html Thanks for watching, KPO.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors I watched that one already also. I was putting backing mono on last night and for some reason had the spool wrong side up. (Even with the arrow drawn, go figure) Actually saw the horrible line twist after about 6-10 turns. Proof positive. Thanks again!
Great video. Sweet,simple and accurate.
Stephen, thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Thank you. I was just about going to where I buy my line and have them put my line.on for me . Last time I did it myself I had a terrible time could mot figure out what I did wrong . But now I know about line direction. No one else has mentioned this before. Thank you very much for this video.
Wayne, thanks for the comment. I have several other fishing line vids at my channel in the fishing line playlist if you're interested, KPO.
Great video, full of good tips an tricks.
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Thank you. This is a very practical approach. BTW I had that very same problem with the stranded line spinning on the spool...tapw works just fine. Coke owes you big time gor this video!
Hey, thanks for adding in. Coke still hasn't sent the check, KPO.
Love your vids. Clear, concise, and very instructional.
Furshed, thanks a lot for that comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Thank you!im going to North Carolina in about a month and I need some new line to go fishing with!
You are welcome, KPO.
I was drinking Pepsi while watching but I still approve your video.
Thanks for the easy explanation on correct spooling direction.
Nothing wrong with a cold Pepsi either. If interested in more fishing line vids check out my playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLksX0m4wrQHz-o6I-_G7sgc49bjxWIjh1.html Thanks for the comment, KPO.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors I'll check it out, subbed aswell. Thanks for the reply.
@@kevangelos817 Welcome to the channel, KPO.
KPO
i have seen so many vids on how they think a proper spooling should be done and no way to tell what is the correct method, now i agree with every point you made here so good job but a thought came to mind that i can spool line on my reel any way and then when im done simply get a large bearing snap swivel and attach my line to it and use the snap to attach it to a fence and then start walking back and unspooling it all the way ,then slowly put a bit of tension on the whole length of line and let go a few time then start spooling it all back on, i believe this helps stretch the memory out and the bearing swivel removes any twist on the entire line so that the whole length of it is straight without twist before you start reeling it in, and after that you can always dunk the spool in hot water and leave it till it cools down or leave it in there for a few days which helps to remove memory and shape it to that diameter of the reel spool,, let me know what you think about using the snap swivel like that
I'll have to try it, KPO.
A great, clear presentation mate.
Thanks for the great content.
Glad you enjoyed it, KPO.
Great video, been doing it this way for years and it makes a world of difference!
KPO
I've been doing that with mono for years, you can do it from shore as well, pop the bail , take a walk, and reel up. Works just as well, if on shore..
Cobia, great idea. Thanks for adding that in and thanks for watching, KPO.
@Sparka What is never taken into consideration is the different diameter of each spool . A smaller reel spool rotates (twist) the line more than the same amount of line comming off of a larger spool.
Wow very good very good I learned a lot and learn something new to come in handy
Thanks a lot Steven, I hope it helps you out. KPO.
In this very short 11minutes & change you have answered one of the brains of my fishing with spincast reels😀 I've tried probably a half a dozen different ways to solve this issue. This is the one reason my wife refuses to use one of these reels. Thank You You are A God Send.
Oh and yeah your Tube gets a sub from me too.👍
William, I'm so glad to help and thanks for the sub. KPO
Really enjoy your vids. Very instructional!!!!!
I appreciate that! KPO.
Great video! Thanks for talking too me and not down to me. Subscribed!
Thanks for the sub!
I learned a lot especially that electrical tape on the knot under the reel!
Glad it helped my friend, KPO.
Thanks for the informative video..and God bless you and your family!
Thank you!
Thanks. Excellent info and very well explained.
Glad it was helpful! I did a follow up video that maybe even clears things up even a little better LINK - ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html Thanks for the comment, KPO.
Great explanation; best video I have seen on the topic. Thank you!
Bassmaster3nj, good to hear. Thanks for commenting. KPO
That video is nonsense. Dont use time wasting slipknot and have the spool revoving-not on its side. Ispool dozens of customers every week like this. Be very careful who you listen to when it comes to fishing!
OMG...I had no idea what I was doing when I restrung my reels - thanks!
Glad to help!
Great description ! Makes things very clear .
Mark, also check out this vid ua-cam.com/video/blBIuTAf2gk/v-deo.html , Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment, KPO.
Thank you for taking the extra time to explain this properly, much appreciated!
Joshua, I hope it helps. Thanks for the comment, KPO.
How
Wow. I am 47 and been fishing for most of those years and never knew this. Thanks for teaching a semi old dog a new trick.
Nice job on the video. I enjoyed the learning and thank you for taking the time to do a very nice presentation.
Dennis Marble, if you're interested I have a couple of other spinning reel/fishing line vids on a playlist at my channel. They kind of tie into this video. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Great job. Now your going to make my fishing better. who said you can't teach a old dog new tricks, BS you just did. thank you. thumbs up!!!
Richard, I love to hear that. Thanks for watching, KPO.
ive had that issue with the whole spool spinning... I started to use braid backing to just cover the spool then wind mono on. works.
Never heard of it done with braid first. Thanks for adding in, KPO.
@@KnettersPracticalOutdoors yes. Braid and even old braid is an excellent backing. I usually just put on enough to cover the spool twice or three times over then spool on 100 rotations of mono or whatever you like to use. I never fill my spools up all the way on casters. No need to.
Cool, KPO.
Fantastic explanation! Great job.
James, thanks a lot. You may like some of my other fishing line/spinning reel vids too. Some of them compliment this video. Thanks again, KPO
Excellent tutorial!
Glad you liked it!
Thank you for this video. I needed to be reminded how to do this the correct way. You have a new sub.
Very cool. Thanks for the sub and thanks for watching, KPO.
Great video! One of the best explanations on how to spool a spinning reel. One question: If you don't own a boat, what's an alternative way to get rid of line twists?
You can just pull a 2 cast length of line out in a grassy area (don't want to damage the line) and reel in pinched between your fingers.
Not all heroes wear capes my man. Thank you.
welcome
Great vid love the untwist tip thanks 👍👍👍👍
No problem 👍
I’m always have trouble with my line . I’m going to try this today. Thanks so much I’ll let you know how it worked out. God Bless
Sandi, since you have had trouble with your line in the past let me recommend another vid for you that I did. Link - ua-cam.com/video/azcAM8cvZIs/v-deo.html This video deals with line problems also. I hope these videos help get you on the right track. And yes please let me know how it works out. KPO
Well... how did it go?
@@jackwhite4214 still tying it on 😂
great video, 7th one I watch first time I get the direction.
I usually loop the tied part around the spool a couple times. That helps with slippage.
Noted
I’ve also seen people tie a few feet of mono to braided and tie the mono to the reel that way you don’t run into the issue of your line spinning on the reel. It’s more work than putting tape but it works very well.
cool stuff
Best instructive video of my life
Diego, wow! Thanks for that comment and thanks for watching, KPO.
Great demo on stringing line. I have done it many times but sometimes I get it screwed .
Carl, thanks a lot, KPO.
I'm only 9 and I have caught over 300 or 400 large mouth bass since I was 5 I fished all the time and thanks for the lesson
Keep up the good work Claudia, KPO.
This was very helpful, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
i like the recessed hole in the spool idea, wish mine had them
It helps, thanks for watching, KPO.
