    Thank you. This pad was recommended for me because i guess my gummy toes are causing issues with my toes. I have been looking online at this product and just could not imagine how it would benefit my toes. I thought the loop was the part straightening the toes and because of that I wasn't going to purchase it but then I watched your video and see now that its the pad that is providing the support. Makes so much sense now. Thank you!!

      After 2 years is your toe better without surgery? I just found this video.

    Great video! The toe next to my big toe on my right foot, is mallet toe. My podiatrist said that he can freeze the toe, cut tendons, and splint the toe for 4 days. I'm not sure if the joint is rigid or flexible. What is your experience doing such a procedure? Is there a high degree of success? I get calluses all the time on the tip of that toe. Your video looks like something I should try, but would this only work with a flexible joint?

    Great video, several hammertoes on right foot got worse after fell down stairs, broke ankle, and tore all ligaments right ankle. Had ORIF surgery and was non weight bearing for 8 weeks. Have more than one toe affected and am struggling with hammertoes and callouses tips of toes. So important to keep up PT. I've seen the Pedifix you detailed here. There is also a product Thame is a triple toe crest pad. What do you think of that one?

      After spending tons of $$$ and time researching treatment for hammertoe and bunion plus other foot issues I started with the best shoe that would meet some of my issues. the remainder I was able to resolve by making my own orthopedic devices by wool felting It is easy and FITS where everything I bought didn't quite work. With felting you can add or take away. Wool is so comfortable. Just my 2 cents worth. I am nobody special, just got tired of a problem that wasn't getting better and throwing money away. I use the templates that I have purchased and improve them to work best for me.

    Any advise on supination I think that’s walking on the outside of my foot ? Can insoles help

    • @frugalfoot4973
      @frugalfoot4973  4 роки тому

      Yes they can. An arch support that fits properly can help balance your foot and encourage you to walk off your great toe. Watch the video where I show you how to measure your arch height.

    Great video! I have one hammertoe on my right foot. It's the toe next to my small toe and it is bending to the left, not curling down. Can you recommend a reasonably priced orthotic for this problem if in fact it would help. Thanks.

      I appreciate your comment. Unfortunately I cannot make personal recommendations without seeing your foot in person,. I would recommend you discuss this with your own podiatrist.

    Thank you doctor, for so much good information. I live in Denmark and i swear people out of Europe Think that European doctors are soo good. Now they are not.
    The only thing we are good at in Denmark, is to get stress.

    The tow Creat does not work!! They make them with a full pad and it works better but it’s not great but it’s better than getting a tendon transfer that will alter your life With a stiff toe basically a dead toe that’s stiff and doesn’t get much blood or circulation and constantly gets caught on things my right foot has a tendon transfer so I know my left foot now has formed another I guess hammertoe but I’m not willing to get another tendon transfer so yeah the one with the full pad is the best alternative at least for me

    My doctor is having such issues trying to fix my foot surgically. I had 11 toes, my 5th met is too large, and a myriad of mechanical problems. He is now saying my middle toes are hammering and that is what is causing my pain. I’m 25 :( onto my third surgery

    I have mallet toe in my pinky toe. Will this work for that?

    • @frugalfoot4973
      @frugalfoot4973  3 роки тому

      It might. If the correct size doesn't work then perhaps one size larger with the overlapping end trimmed off. That way there is more material under the fifth toe.

    I have some questions.. Once the toe is straight, will it eventually curl back since it was like that before? Or will it not straighten all the way? Also I have a toe on my right foot that is bent exactly like the way you demonstrated but on my left foot I have one on the same toe but it's not that bad. So what can I do since I have to buy one pad for each side. Last question.. what size do you recommend for me to get?.. I am 14 around 5'2- 5'3, and my shoe size is in between 5 1/2- 6 1/2. Hope you can answer! My right foot is in pain !😕

      Discuss these issues with your parents. Express your concerns with them first. They may want you to see your doctor especially since you are having pain. Thank you for your questions.

      As does mine. They can be the most difficult to address conservatively. Sometimes the toe crest pad still works - that is why the pad should extend all the way to the end of the fifth toe. Thanks for your comment.
