- She's a 45 years old Toijalan Kaidetehdas countermarch loom from Finland. 8 shafts, 10 treadles and 100cm weaving width 😍
Now I just have to learn how to use it :D

Hello Ellen. It finally appeared! You look very different, much more beautiful. Haha! This loom will be very useful in your projects, we will see new features. For sure! 👏😉
Lots of learning to do, but then hopefully lots of projects!
Ellen. It's a very ancient art! Certainly with effort and dedication, you will achieve perfect results. The first piece is mine! 😘❤️
Hi Ellen! Good to see you back!
Great job assembling the Loom.
Oh the patterns you will create! Can’t wait to see them. 😊
That's super cool Ellen! Can't wait to see how big you go with this 😁
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Good to see you again Ellen! Nice loom, looks very strong and well made. I look forward to seeing some amazing projects from it. My wife will likely want one now! Cheers.
Thanks! I'm very happy with it, there's pretty much no limits on this one and a lifetime of learning to do!
Leuk om je weer eens te zien.
Ben benieuwd wat voor stoffen je gaat maken hiermee!
Als het goed is kan ik hier alles mee, van de ruwste tapijten tot de fijnste dunne stof! To be continued ;)
Hi Ellen! Great to see you, was just thinking about you a few days ago. Can’t wait to see the new projects coming out of the loom! ❤
Hey Ellen I have no idea how these things work but it was so lovely to see how happy you were once you put it together you’re adorable 🥰 I can’t wait to see what you make with it. You should call her Polly Esther 😜 xx
🤗👍
My older sister has been weaving for decades, and I have helped to assemble many looms for her over the years, and have made repairs to them. She has a loom like the one you have there but with an extension to it to double the number of shafts. There is also a mid-sized loom at our cabin which she uses to test patterns and create smaller items. She still makes tea towels, and coasters not for sale though. You seem to have the impression those are project for beginners and that are not, experienced weaves use them to test their ideas on. This is especially important when the project is for a large work, because it can save time and waste of materials by discovering if the design works, the colour pallet works, etc. My sister also belongs to a weavers guild where from time to time they will get together and show their test work and sometimes trade them. I hope this helps.
Oh I know they're not just for beginners, and there's an endless amount of designs to try with them. It's just that I have another goal in mind, where they're not necessarily the best way to get there. I'm sure there'll be lots of tea towels in my future though!
I know nothing about looms, but I am excited to learn.
I intend to take you along for the ride!
Awesomeness ,congrats 👍👍👍👍👍
Schön dich mal wieder zu sehen😘
Danke :)
Great to see, so much potential! Can’t wait to see what you make.
So much to learn and try! Literally thousands and thousands of years of history in weaving ❤
How very exciting!!
Nice video. Congrats on going big! Can't wait to see what you make. Mahalo for sharing, Ellen. : )
Go big or go home haha, can't wait to start using it!
I asked an AI to give some suggestions for action movie titles featuring a loom:
Loom Raiders: The Weaving Wars
Warp Speed: Loom of Fury
Loomageddon: Threads of Chaos
The Fast and the Loominous
Threadnado: Loom to Doom
The Loominator: Yarn Revolt
Loom Hard: Loom and Let Die
Loom Warrior: Weave of Destruction
Lethal Loom: Spool of Justice
Loom Busters: Fabric of Fury
Haha I like the sound of threadnado, very daunting 😳 I hope my projects will be nothing like that though 😂 Threads should be nice and organised or it'll be a nightmare 😅
Awesomeness. Congrats.👍👍👍👍👍👍 yep why wait ! Heck our sawmill isn't even a year old and it's moving in June lol . But we learned and had fun. Perhaps will now be able to set it up with a better workflow....
Nice! Now it's just the least fun step left before you get to weave - stringing it up... 😅
Good thinking with the felt on the feet, for protecting the floor, but it also means that it probably will have more of a walkabout when used. But it being able to move should reduce the sound traveling through the house frame.
Nice to see a new video from you! Why start small if you can start big instead? 😁 Looks like this is going to be a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing!
Exactly 😁
You could call her Sigourney.
Loomasaurus tex!
Ohh I like it 🦖
