*SLOW CLAP* Did you notice Kaleigh took all of her pictures down on IG where she looked white passing? With her hair straight she looks like a white woman, only recently did she do the natural hair look. That’s not a crime but it does seem like she and the pageant are playing up the “natural hair” bit for diversity points and to appeal to black women. And we fell for it as usual because we are desperate for wins smh. I’m happy for their win and for mixed girls to have representation but they need to stop with the “black girl magic” stuff. It just causes too much confusion and too many problems.
I saw it and I’m so glad y’all did too.
Looks like Chrissie's in the house

Girl only 7% of Miss Universe winners are black. I'd love to hear what you have to say.
These mixed girls are not the first "black women" to wear their hair in a natural state while running the pageant. I can not believe people already forgot Deshauna Barber who won miss USA back in 2016.
@@redd-iveee4400 In 2017 she had worn her hair natural. I'm talking about how no one pay attention to black women like Deshauna Barber with 4c hair type, but wants to make a biracial like the one from last night the face of natural hair black woman which is not the case.
Kenya Moore has long natural hair and she won miss USA
Blue Raven87
I don't think she wore her natural hair most of the time though or even when she won. What's important here is most of the women in this aren't black and they shouldn't be called black. Who did what first shouldn't even be part of the conversation cause they're not black at all
Scoring57 It’s also important to give us credit where credit is due...if you look up UA-cam videos of Kenya Moore, a black woman, she has long thick natural hair just as she did when she won Miss USA...furthermore this commenter spoke about “who did what” and I wanted to say that Kenya Moore has long natural hair and she won.
@@Scoring57 I brought up Deshauna because she is black. It is weird how the media is giving these biracial girls credit to go natural, but doesn't give props to black women that went natural.
It's the Meghan Markle effect point blank period.

These the same ones who are obsessed with Megan Markle. 🙄🙄
@@neeshespieces Exactly. I feel BW cling so hard onto biracials cause they believe that their hype/ standard would triggle down to them.
Facts it's becoming pathetic, in all actuality there not one of us🙅🏿
@@neeshespieces Thank you sister, I got into a argument with other sisters about Meghan Markle, this woman doesn't give a dam about black women or people, she never speaks on behalf of the race and she has the platform, who does she align herself with white people.
Many DS black women hate themselves and live vicariously through mixed and biracial women, they lift these women above themselves out of low self esteem. The internal self hatred is very strong within them, plus add societal norms to that and that's where we are. Those of us (DSBW) that love ourselves are in the minority. I hate to say it, but it isn't changing anytime soon.
These are not black girls. You hit the nail right on the head. This is social engineering plain and simple.
You are spot on! More people need to read your comment because it's nothing but pure truth here.
Did you notice it's mostly only black women's image being erased and replaced with mixed race women, and not really the guys as much, Darkskin black men are still represented in their fking image and it's pissing me off how disgustingly targeted this SICK RACIST AGENDA is, Not ONLY by the help of the white media but black ppl are helping this erasure with calling any and everyone black who isn't.
@@MelaninBae90
Dark skin black men are represented cause in whyte people's world with their weird fetishes, they consider dark skin masculine for some reason. And they love representing black people in stereotypes that their racist minds can understand. But eventually the same will happen with black men cause this is about race not gender. The only problem black women have is I think men are more open to all kinds of women (I'm included in that) and chase women more than women chase men. So it's easier to market this erasure to black men by representing non-black women as the image of beauty. It's harder to market it to black women because they're a lot more loyal and as women aren't as open to other groups of men. But like I said I feel the plan is to do the same with black male representation cause just look at the new Pokemon Live action movie. I'm sure the lead is meant to be a black guy and a part of the whole black panther wave of "black" representation
Only image being erased is there's. This is a process and change is happening but they have us thinking that we are the ones being erased. TRUST ME every thing going back black because their birth rates won't sustain them it's facts not my opinion. You know they love to flip the script and change the narrative but we know what's going on. #blackplanet
It's crazy!
98% of my cousins are mixed race. They are not black and they will tell you they are not black...they only claim black when they need the cool factor and even then they make it clear they are light skinned and have “good hair” we are not the same.
Well they are black, just black and another race
They are biracial. If they don’t identify as black I don’t i don’t either
AHappyPumpkin exactly. They mixed period.
@Alejandra E A subtle race war between mixed and fully black people!? The white man got what he wanted...
Damn your family is white washed. What a shame.
Our self-esteem must be low as black woman to see this as a WIN for BLACK woman.
It is for a lot of Us. I just don't entertain the sick though.
Same as thing I just said, and yes many black women have horrible self esteem.
Our self esteem must be really low to see it as not. Not every black girl is dark skin. Or even brown skin. If a light skinned chick has won it'll be colorism. Come on stop it. They're lighter skin and loose curls dont take away from my black beauty. I love my skin and my hair. My daughters are lighter than me they look mixed but they are black. Proud and African. We need to stop this. My daughter feel some type of way having to hear girls gripe about them not looking black. I said girl you black love it and own it. Colorism is a bitch!
I think the lack of representation in the media plays a major role. Hollywood is saturated with light skinned women. They've been normalized, propped up as "ideal" and generally accepted. But Black women are still placed on the side. Given roles that, for most, place them in a stereotypical role that has them play the "loud, angry Black baby mama." Movies like "Black Panther" or shows like "How to Get Away With Murder" are a step in the right direction, but the Black community deserves more. I just think it helps to have young Black girls see beautiful, talented & smart Black women on the big screen. Letting them know they can achieve anything. Until that happens more often, well... we see the effects now. (just my opinion)
@@jeromepowell9245 I never thought a 'Black' man was president. He is mixed!

They don't live their lives white. That's not the point here. The point is the problems that come when you identify someone as something they're not. Meaning we don't want them to live black. They shouldn't suddenly become "black" just cause they 'live black'. They're not black to begin with. There's no path to becoming black, you just have to be born black so let's not make it about what they do. It's all about what they are and aren't
thats whats everyone is doing these days especially these mixed chicks, all they do is make their hair look curly and these judges think its their ability to buck te trend and make her the winner.

I stopped watching it when I saw it.
@Alejandra E I love your idea.
Alejandra E there are pageants for black women. Miss Black USA and Miss Black Universe.
The thing is... mixed girls with the typical loose curls never actually had to "go natural". They are the standard of black hair, the "good hair". The natural hair movement was specifically created for black women with coily, kinky 4 type hair. It makes me laugh to see that mixed women are now the face of the natural hair movement because that's the complete opposite of what it was started for.

That's probably true. But they live in the same society as everyone else. I'm sure they're aware that being mixed can be a real positive. If they weren't raised in a white environment though it's a different story and you're completely wrong. They absolutely know the advantage of being mixed. Because plenty of black people will make them aware of it by treating them much better than most other people or by giving them a lot attention
Yes, it looks like she tanned.
I don’t understand what’s wrong with saying you’re mixed or biracial instead of white or black, these days it sounds like you’re being offensive when you say that.
I totally agree. My sister identify as mixed race. She will tell you right off she has a black mother and white father and not ashamed to embrace both sides.
Right and its sad black men will argue me down (a black woman) to include biracial/mixed people with us. Since i'm quite petty at times, i'm arguing back like no they're white, they 're going back and forth not even realizing how ridiculous they sound.
@@justanotherabc8888 I also realize black men's biracial children have identity issues. The one's with black mother's are often more balanced. I know I'm not the only person noticing this.

U barely see darkskin gurls in Miss USA
Yep, and its sad
There's a reason for that. It goes back to the owners of the state held Miss USA pageants. I participated in Miss Maine Teen USA and was a top 15. Miss Maine USA and was a first runner up and then my second time participating in Miss Maine (assuming I would win because I was first runner up the year prior) I didn't even make top 10.
I intend to do a series of videos explaining my experience and the deception and snake like business practices behind these pageants, but just wanted to elaborate on your observation.
Who ever runs the state wide pageants (in my case, the same caucasian couple runs Miss Maine, Miss New Hampshire and Miss Massachusetts), is the person (or are the same people) that have direct say in who the judges are (they are often friends or business associates of the state production company) and ultimately who the winner is.
Though they (the production company that runs Maine, NH and Mass) had some black women working for them, I do believe there was racially related reasoning as to why I didn't win. (Meanwhile a caucasian participant who got first runner up 3 times finally won the year that I first participated as a Miss. I won't even get into the other worthy black women that participated before and after me who walk away empty handed). I'm totally leaving out the fact that the woman of the production company yelled at my sister and father (for taking photos and cheering) and threatened to call the police and escort them out during the state pageant ceremony lol. It was after my father talked with her in the hallway (because she was causing a scene in the auditorium while the show is going on) that I no longer became a runner up.
Which participant do you know makes first runner up one year, and then not even top 10 the following year?
My apologies for this essay lol. I need to get my videos out..

I'm going to be completely honest. I'm in an interracial relationships with a Persian guy. If we get married and have children I will teach my children they're half black. I noticed black women's biracial children don't have as many identity problems, for the most part they acknowledge they're biracial. The one's I've encountered with black mothers are well balanced( not all but most).
If the black mother don't have self hate issues then I can assure their mixed race child will acknowledge they're mixed race and won't see themselves as superior to blacks. Maybe I'm speaking from experience, my sister is half white( black mother) and don't force herself in black spaces. She acknowledge she's half black.

You can usually tell a person is mixed, if it's not so obvious by their hairstyle and other small factors. A lot of them have curly hair so if they want to appear completely black or more black they always leave it short (like Peele), wear it in dreads or some other hair style that'll hide their natural curls. So I can say no We don't have curly hair bc we got some Arabs in us but they got us in them 🤨. Plus they all see us as a Mother F.. black person. We don't get treated in a different way bc we have curly hair are u dumb. Watch the news & see how they treat us in the middle east when we go to work there, in Libya do I have to go on for u to see the bigger picture. It really hurts when you also get hate from ur own kind shit. Am just tired of this bs 🤦🏾♀️
@@israforever4547 To them blackness is central to West African ancestry, their ancestry, not yours. Any mention of your ancestry will just be used as a tool to be used to their own benefit. Don't hand your name to someone else to define for you bc they will always define it to their benefit. Peace 💚
Paris You called it along time ago about benefiting from being black when it’s convenient ...SMH
I remember George Zimmerman claiming the “Latino” side of his heritage to conveniently get around the label of “white” in the Trayvon Martin case. After all, how could he be a racist if he too was a minority? But, being “white” is what served him in the courtroom. His triumph over Trayvon was ultimately predicated on the fact that he was “white.” Having two “ethnicities” worked in his favor; poor Trayvon was murdered twice. It’s not the exact same thing, but is analogous to the point of your video. Thanks! Excellent topic.
I mean grey is not white OR black. It’s a mix of both colors. Same with *mixed* ppl. And I really don’t get why ppl get offended by that.
If you’re mixed reading this, don’t be triggered ❤️
Did they forget about viola Davis showing her natural hair on the red carpet. My sisters your natural hair is enough and stop looking for mix and barraical as the original black woman
I wouldnt even give the #mixedgirlmagic cause people need to make their own hashtag.💅🏾
I was just thinking this
@Anastasie' Moreau No they need to be original
Iktr, lmao
@Black Girls Living Well It does matter because they're constantly taking from black women. I feel that as long as they stay in their lane it won't be a problem.
@Black Girls Living Well You're a colorist bye
I grew up in the 1980’s. All we had was Vanessa Williams and they took her crown. I’m just happy to see non blue eyed blondes win. Your points are 💯 about only the 3 range hair and the bi racial looks are what is accepted in the media. I’m glad to see that young sistas like you have a platform to speak knowledge.
Vanessa Williams lost her crown, but the gave it to the 1st runner up who was black. I think her names was Suzette Charles.
People came at me in the comments because I said the girl on the left was mixed. It’s true she’s not black
Kudos to them all winning! I just saw that Tracee Ellis Ross is gettinf a spin-off show from Blackish called Mixed-ish. Seeing is that our country is blenidng more, maybe one day biracial will legit be recognized at its own category
And mostly black people I seen sharing it.
As for Cheslie, her IG shows she actually has black friends. I still hold biracials with black moms closer to my heart... those are good representation for my own biracial daughter ♥️
Amen. And may she rest in peace.
I feel like they tanned tf out of the teen usa girl too. I'm biracial and I totally agree. Biracial people only claim black when it works for them ie being the first black blah blah blah to do something. Any other time they stress that they are mixed or biracial. You hit the nail on the head girl!
But you know what Paris society still see's these womens as black period. My niece is mixed and not fitting in no where please don't do this stop. My nieces is a sista your doing to much you don't know how someone was raised and how they identify. You are not in their families you don't know their struggles period.
I honestly feel like the constant need to be anything or embrace anything that makes black look good is one of the biggest detriments to our people. There’s this constant need for validation and it’s a clear reflection of the inherent lack of self-worth that most black people claim to have. We open our spaces to everyone with no discrimination and are alarmed when their presence eclipses ours in those spaces. I wish black people would understand that we are enough. It’s just...pathetic at this point. When I saw these posts, my first thought was there’s only one black woman here and the fact that people (mostly black women-blatantly obvious by the diction of the post and even that is a whole other conversation regarding the influence of black women in popular rhetoric and culture) would take offense to that reality. At this point it’s just embarrassing to see how degenerate we’ve become. That is all 😞
1st off i understand what you mean, BUT black dominates. If someone is biracial and choose to flawn their blackness that will stand out. I just believe these women choose to use their blackness and be proud of it. being biracial can cause someone to not be accept on either side. now do we support hate on that level. I see these ladies as my black sisters. when our ancestors were raped by the master and forced to have biracial kids, they still were treated like the field workers even tho they cleaned the house. do your research honey. and lets not teach hate against each other. im not knocking you because you are my sister and i will always want to rise and not sink but i just had to school like some of these other women in the comments. my people is my people. half or full.
Rachel RAE I totally agree with you because now of these days you really can’t tell how much white a person has in them unless you do a dna test. My great grandfather is white. All this post is doing is dividing us even more
Thank you Paris for making this video, I was saying the same things, I get tired of sisters gravitating towards these mixed women, when they don't consider themselves BLACK, these people doesn't even like being around black people.
Meghan Markle is a great example!
polofunk
That has little to do with it. This has nothing to do with who they "gravitate" to. Even if they gravitate to black people they're still not black and it causes issues for black representation. How do some people still not get this? It sounds like you still want mixed people to classified as black. The problem is calling people something they're not. It replaces black progress with mixed progress and contributes to the whitening of the black race, introducing more white genetics into the black race. And then you have people counting whites genetics and feature as = black.
@Curtis Majors
False. Mixed people gravitate to black people more than white people. But why does it even matter? Why do you negros want mixed people to love you so much anyways? If mixed people aren't in black spaces that's a good thing. That's the whole point of this video, not confusing mixed people with black people. Mixed people in black spaces is why they get classified as "black" and you have "black" beauty pageants that aren't black. Do you guys think about what you're saying? Cause you're not expressing the things that'll help black people and don't seem to get the point of this video. It sounds like you want mixed people to say they're black.....
@@Scoring57 dude you miss understand what I said, I never said I wanted mixed people to be black, you're crazy as hell if a dam race war break out, they're more likely to join their white side than black side.
WoW man she took them down.
I love your channel you go real deep calling out whats wrong with this society.
After watching this video, I remembered a time when I participated in a Barbizon contest a few years ago. I nailed everything they wanted us to do; walking on the runway, reciting a commercial, being polite to others. They did their reward ceremony for those who had the most call backs,; I only ended up receiving two while others received 10+. I was so heartbroken about it, I always thought what I did wrong and what I could’ve done better. When I really thought about it, it was because how I had my 4 type hair blown out in an Afro. The girls they had on stage getting their rewards either had loose curls or straight hair. I keep thinking about it and it sickens me.
That’s terrible. I think if you were your younger self self now doing the contests with your Afro, you’d get some call backs (whatever those are! I was never pretty enough or tall enough to be a model 😊)
Speaking of barbizon they are not really for the talents they scam me and my other out of money and it’s pitiful what they done.
how you gonna mention other light skinned black women who clearly could pass as biracial. There are some people who have two black parents but are light skinned like a biracial person. for example, You mentioned beyonce. But isn't her mom like half white or something??? lol. so... what makes her different from a biracial woman.
This is what I was wondering because I have a biracial parent that is black/white and a black parent. But according to people on here I would be a mixed black person. It’s confusing to me would I be mixed if I have direct white Ancestry from one of my parents?
Old comment but the difference is that Beyonce's predominantly black. That's not the same as someone who is only half or less than half black. 50% or less black should not say that they are black
@@Loekki There are many people like you. Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are like that too. One of my grandmothers was probably like that too. We have no issue with ppl like you identifying as black since you're predominantly black with only a small percentage white. But it is weird when people who are only 50% or less black to claim black.
hoooooooooooweee they wasn't ready fo this one! Can y'all hear the hit dogs a hollerin?! cause I can! I agreed with every damn thing
True, too many people who dont identify black or who are mixed race or biracial are using benefits and set asides meant for black people. Identifying as #ADOS or #FBA is helping to clarify some of what you are speaking..
moni love what’s FBA sis?

Precisely. Hit it dead on the head.

I am mixed. The day I identify as a black woman will be the day Jack Frost and Lucifer meet up for a cup of eggnog. #fuckuronedroprule
@Becky Johnson I'm actually blasian. Being mixed isn't limited to being half white. See what happens when you assume.😂😂😂
Sis but be happy for them.
Paris I know this is unrelated to this video, but what do you think of the ballerina Misty Copeland? She is mixed race but is being praised for being the first black principle dancer with american ballet theater and I see her everywhere representing black women. She really doesn't look black at all to me and occasionally will post about how hard it was being a biracial person and how she relates to Mariah Carey by not being accepted because of being biracial. But then yet she claims she has had all the struggles because she is a black woman and is proud to be a black woman.. confused on that one and wanted to bring it to your attention as it relates to this same topic.
@@LM-ml6gm I see it too and agree with u 💯 she is one if those biracial people who can almost pass for another race, so the fact that she is getting so much media attention by using the race card is sick! Then she contradicts herself by talking about how hard life was for her as a biracial woman who didnt fit in, and how Mariah Carey is her idol blah blah blah and how she is proud of being a BIRACIAL WOMAN. After that comment she had all these biracial people thanking her for finally acknowledging the fact that she is biracial and not only just black!
Also jordyn Woods is biracial. On life of kylie her mom is white and dad was a black biker dude. (don't know why I was watching that foolishness. Don't worry she ain't getting my money I watched it illegally 🤣)
S O jordyns mom is a white passing biracial
@@kelthevixen So you could say she's Mixed-Black, mixed being her race and Black being the culture or group she identifies with.
"I thought this was the most appropriate time for ALL OF US to re-read, remember and NEVER FORGET, the speech given by Willie Lynch a slave owner who over 300 years ago devised a plan to help keep Black people divided...
Gentlemen:
I greet you here on the bank of the James River in the year of our lord, one thousand seven hundred and twelve. First , I shall thank you, the gentlemen of the of the colony of Virginia, for bringing me here. I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me in my modest plantation in the West Indies where I have experimented with some of the newest and still the oldest method for control of slaves. Ancient Rome would envy us if my program is implemented. As our boat sailed south on the James River, named for our illustrious KING JAMES, whose BIBLE we CHERISH, I saw enough to know that our problem is not unique. While Rome used cords or wood as crosses for standing human bodies along the old highways in great numbers, you are here using the tree and the rope on occasion.
I caught the whiff of a dead slave hanging from a tree a couple of miles back. You are losing valuable stock by hangings, you are having uprisings, slaves are running away, your crops are sometimes left in the fields too long for maximum profit, you suffer occasional fires, your animals are killed, Gentleman,...You know what your problems are; I do not need to elaborate. I am not here to enumerate your problems, I am here to introduce you to a method of solving them.
In my bag, I have a fool proof method for controlling your slaves. I guarantee everyone of you that if installed it will control the slaves for at least three hundred years. My method is simple, any member of your family or any OVERSEER can use it.
I have outlined a number of differences among the slaves, and I take these differences and make them bigger. I use FEAR, DISTRUST, and ENVY for control purposes. These methods have worked on my modest plantation in the West Indies, and it will work throughout the SOUTH. Take this simple little list of differences and think about them. On the top of my list is "AGE" but it is only there because it starts with an "A"; The second is"COLOR" or shade; there is INTELLIGENCE, SIZE, SEX, SIZE OF PLANTATION, ATTITUDE of owner, whether the slaves live in the valley, on a hill, east or west, north, south, have fine or coarse hair, or is tall or short. Now that you have a list of differences, I shall give you an outline of action- but before that, I shall assure you that DISTRUST IS STRONGER THAN TRUST, AND ENVY IS STRONGER THAN ADULATION, RESPECT OR ADMIRATION.
The black slave, after receiving this indoctrination, shall carry on and will become self-refueling and self-generating for hundreds of years, maybe thousands.
Don't forget you must pitch the old black VS. the young black males, and the young black male against the old black male. You must use the dark skinned slaves VS. the light skin slaves. You must use the female VS the male, and the male VS, the female. You must always have your servants and OVERSEERS distrust all blacks, but it is necessary that your slaves trust and depend on us.
Gentlemen, these kits are your keys to control, use them. Never miss an opportunity. My plan is guaranteed, and the good thing about this plan is that if used intensely for one year the slave will remain perpetually distrustful.
-WILLIAM LYNCH-1772
The letter above is one of the major problems of the African-American race today. And with this knowledge we as a race can and will over come. So with this letter still in your mind I ask that you enlighten someone else and send this letter to as many brothers and sisters. We as a race must start somewhere in learning our problems what better place than the document that started the destruction of our MOST POWERFUL RACE!!!
Who are you to say that these women aren’t black ?????

I am a BLACK woman and proud of it in every way! When someone bi racial is called black I understand them wanting to be called bi racial and I am not triggered I think that is okay for them to represent being bi racial. At the end of the day they will never understand my struggle in this world and I will never understand theirs. Bi Racials can chose who they want to be and everyday no matter what I am the reflection of the Black-African American Culture wether I choose to be or not. I love being a black women and their is a difference. Be proud of who you are at the end of the day we all should be and to all my African American Black women, we are enough, we are smart beautiful and intelligent. Please stop thinking that we need to be anything other than we are to be beautiful, we do not have to be mixed with anything to love ourselves and support and love other women that are other races as well. At the end of the day LOVE YOURSELF!!!!!!!

You look mixed from a distance, just so you know. At least in your profile pic. Some people might point that out
@@Scoring57 that doesn't change that: if u have one non black parent, u r not black and have no business representing blacks. Blacks have to have standards. She's a mixed person and it's ok. We shouldn't participate in our own erasure and that is ok. I have 2 black parents, and just like black babies, up close it is very clear that I'm phenotypically black. I'm not ok with constantly being represented in all media by mixed people. I'm sick of it.
Honestly I can't tell when people are mixed or black unless a mixed girl is my color or my friends color. Like you'll have to be my color, the color of two of my mixed friends or white passing for me to automatically know you're mixed. I don't think anyone is shading them. The point is they deserve to represent themselves, not black women. So they need be 100% true to their identity and black folks and the media need to stop calling them black instead of black *and* whatever they're mixed with. It’s so funny to me that we’re to black to be white, and to white to be black. But when we own our mixed culture people are mad like we’re glorifying being more then just black. Like when black ppl are quick to claim being part Native American. But when we go with the whole I’m proud to mixed people get all up in arms like with the mixed-ish show coming out. You just can’t make everyone happy so to darn bad y’all are just gonna have to stay mad I’ll just be black and proud 😂🤣
