my dad bought the first batch 1.5 cbu from japan. personally i think it drives and handles better than the jazz or others from the same segment. reliable too
I owned Swift 1.4 2013. Comfort, fun to drive, good built quality and best handling. Until now just changed front absorbers and aircond temperature sensor. Reliable car.
I for one did consider buying a new swift back in 2012 (back then, the residuals of a used one was still very high), and I recall it was a good 10k+ more than the Hyundai I did buy. I for one would have welcomed if they had done one in the high 50s, kind of close to the Myvi Extreme pricing, though I guess parts for the swift would have been much harder to get that’s my Hyundai after DRB gave it to proton.
Would you recommend a suzuki swift or a honda jazz for a first car? My main concern is reliability of the swift as I heard that the car has a lot of problems? But idk how true this is 🤷🏻♀️ and spare parts for swift easy to get?
The Jazz is the safer choice by a mile, but the Swift is not an unreliable car. Problem with the Swift is that parts are costlier and not as widely available as Honda or Toyota. It's a great first car, but you do need slightly deeper pockets to run it.
Use to own one 2009 model keyless...got car, tremendous handling , very punchie but getting the spareparts is very painful ....last time sparepart had to order through Singapore....
I own 2008 suzuki swift 1.5 and 2017 proton iriz top spec model. Comfort, swift way better.. iriz make too much noise, the cvt gearbox, the windnoise, the suspension , and including the super annoying "creaking" sound in the cabin due to inferior fit and finish. For handling, both are really great. Iriz got lighter steering wheel compared to swift. (This is more to individual preferences) . Chassis balance,, no comment. Both feel good for me, need to ask someone that love to drive fast and cornering for the answer to that question. Conclusion, swift is better than my iriz. Even when its almost 10 years older. Planning to trade in my iriz with mazda next year. The proton car is nice but fit and finish is the worst. Had to turn up the speaker volume everytime i drove the iriz . Because all those annoying sound combined
@@ahmadariffin977 Yups, totally right, I sold my 2008 Swift for 2018 Persona, which I, very much, regretted it. The obvious different you can feel is the jerking...which you dont get from Swift.
I was enjoying the Suzuki Swift. Had it for almost 5 years, did like 300k++km. It is a great drive indeed.
What did you replace it with?
@@KonWaiLuen I bought a hyundai Tucson 2013 model. Reaching 400k km now. So far so good. Planning for a new car soon.
