@@gorgeousgino3260They are 2 different people, brothers David(SANE) & Roger(SMITH) Smith. SANE died in 1990, but his brother continued to put his name up.
Roger(SMITH) is still alive and married to the writer Lady Pink of Style Wars fame.
Many writers such as JA continue to throw up SANE so it's not uncommon to see a fresh looking sane or Smith tag.
Graffiti is the most important artistic movement of the last 50 years. These writers deserve to be documented like any notable artist should be.

The Vanderveer projects had locked basements and a parking garage just like this. Around 2016/17 when they were adding laundry rooms to every basement they whipped them all clean. I'll try to dig up some pictures I took before they were all painted over.

THis is the painful part about graffiti , it will soon be gone, the history will be gone. Some names will live on the internet forever, but the physical artwork will be gone. Look at Korn1, he did over 10,000 tags all over NYC, little by little it is going away. RIP KORN1 (my childhood legend)
