Some feedback. Watch video a week back and adopted my diet a bit. Already good but i still had BP at 144/92 mean over a month with medication.
After adding potassium rich things the level last week went to 122/79. Good. Today the mean value is some 113/74. Decided to pause medication. So far so good.

Lol, and now you have too low pressure! Keep in mind that the FDA changed the numbers years ago, from 140/90 down to the insane low values we have now. Why? Because the rotten, money hungry pharma mafia can push more pills on you! 140/90 plus/minus a bit is perfectly fine..

Thanks for another helpful video. Your frittata looks good. A high potassium food is plantain. Almost 900 mg. I think people don't know how to cook them. They need to be very soft & almost black before they are ready to be cooked. Then you can slice & fry them, or just bake with a little oil & cinnamon until brown.

Plantains can be eaten in different ways for different needs. Unripe (green) plantains are recommended for increasing your protein intake and lowering blood sugars. They can be boiled , grilled or blended into a paste and cooked after removing the skin. The Ripe plantains (yellow) can be boiled , fried, grilled, baked or made into a pottage. You don’t have to wait till they are soft or almost black before eating them .

This is clearly for folks like myself that need to increase potassium. The carbohydrates here come mostly from non starchy vegetables. Cauliflower "rice" is not actually rice. Very low glycemic meals. Check with YOUR health professionals for YOUR specific needs and conditions. Thanks for sharing this Dr! I want to limit supplements and meds. Thanks for also giving me an excuse to eat potato chips! But can I simply sub roasted potatoes? I assume the potassium would be similar? And this how I like to eat--real food.

Because you want your heart and skeletal muscles to work well and not cramp up or charley horse. And you want your intestines to work well and not cramp up or get impacted. And because you want your brain and eyes to work properly. That is just for starters.
If your blood pressure is over 120 / 70 or 80 ? you are too high. If it is too high for too long you will begin to damage your blood vessels.
Would you try to drink water out of a fire hose? No. Why? Too much pressure. Way too much.!
Would you fill a water balloon until it bursts? Why not? Why would you want your overworked arteries to “burst”?
Why wouldn’t you want your potassium levels to be right? You have organs that have needs, too.
Your whole body needs this amount of potassium every day.
Of course, you could consider not eating anything for a couple weeks. That might make your BP go down, but you are not going to feel great. And your potassium will be too low and you will possibly or probably be having some occasional cramps in your muscles.
If you want to have mental focus, feel well and get work done you have to have potassium along with the rest of your fuel/ food.

Your palpitations probably have more to do with a magnesium deficiency than anything involving potassium. But don't take magnesium oxide (most prescribed / recommended), because only about 4% of it gets absorbed / used. Go with citrate, glycinate, etc. But I don't think it's related to the potassium.

It's so nice of you to try to help people with their diet. It would be great if you would consider other aspects of nutrition when doing a video about food, as you have the potential to help a lot of people. I would not consider these meals healthy, especially the lunch. At the very least make sure the diet has at a minimum the recommended amount of fiber. Perhaps sticking to a Mediterranean type diet would help you come up with healthier suggestions. With your suggestions you're increasing people's risk of certain chronic diseases. Whole grains and legumes should be added and watch out for those AGEs in grilled meat. Don't be afraid to actually recommend healthy foods, even though it's swimming upstream. Someone needs to do it. A grain/legume bowl with garlic, vinegar, parsley, and a few more veggies could make for a healthier lunch that many people would still like.
