mornings are the best time here. Not too many people out, and not too hot! By sunset, the tide is in, and the beach is PACKED with people! Always enjoy these walk throughs!
About 30-40 years ago, there were only about 3 restaurants and a few booths on the beach... now it's a more developed town... congratulations, great video; makes you want to go back to tamarindo beach...!!!
I love these walk through videos! Very nicely done my friend! I have not been to Tamarindo since 1996. So much has changed, it is a totally different place! It was great to see Tamarindo again, such good memories there! Thanks for sharing!
I was there in the summer of 97 so much has changed really interesting to see. I was there for a High school summer trip and me and some friends swim out to the island took us all day to get out there and back.
Great walk through video! This is the first time I'm watching one where I'm Very Familiar with the town. This shows it exactly as it is. After recently spending a month there I have never seen the tide that far out, (and I never missed a sunset) when it's in, you see so much less and sometimes None of those Rocks. It would always make me worry about the surfers. Thanks for another Real video.
The wife and I are moving from Peru to Tamarindo by the end of the year. I used to live in Jaco/Playa Hermosa but have never been up that way. Thanks for the video!
I will be here in one month. Is it safe to walk around Tamarindo alone anywhere? Also, is it recommended that I can take my iPhone out to take pictures and videos in this area?
hello! appreciate the walkthrough, if im going to be there in a few weeks, planning on staying in tamarindo for 3-4 days and then one other undecided city for 3-4 days within a few hours of tamarindo, how necessary and/or recommended is a rental car? thanks
It's not necessary at all, shuttles are available from airport to your destination and anywhere in between then just walk or bike around. We can set shuttles up for you if needed. You should definitely come stay with us at Sea Casa here in Samara after tamatindo. Samara is a hidden gem that's super chill and has the best beach. Go to our website www.seacasasamara.com check out our rentals and we have videos about Samara on our videos page.
How would you say the wifi is in tamarindo? Have they gotten the fiber optic yet? I've been looking to move to costa rica but I teach english online so thats been the only thing holding me back. Id prefer to stay away from the major cities tamarindo has always been one of my top choices
Tamarindo is a busy place, we have fibre optic here in Samara so I would assume they have it in Tamarindo too. Bestbto join a Facebook group in Tamarindo and ask
I currently have a house on Bohol Philippines,, but have NO IDEA when i can go there next,, I am seriously looking at Costa Rica If i cant get back to Phili... Your walks are great, Maybe a little more info as you walk would be nice,,, slow it down a little. W ill be waiting for the next one .. Eddie Sydney/ Australia Jagna/ Bohol
Yes I've now switched to wearing shoes because everyone complains, it's supposed to represent the same sounds and sights as if the viewer is there, usually wesring flip-flops
Not sure on rent it varies in so many ways, we own so we aren't in that market. Best to contact property managers and ask them. In Samara it varies from 1000 to 2000 a month for something clean and not run down
That's your opinion, most have said they enjoy it because it's a typical sound you hear when you walk around a beach town. That's the point of these videos, to put the person in the space. Glad you made this annoying comment on a free video.
It's meant for true effect as if you were the one there walking through. Flip flops are a fact of life here in paradise. You're just jealous that you can't walk around in flip flops all day long! 😂 Your useless comment and bad attitude is very annoying. The fact that you actually watched this video put out to you for free and then decided to take the time leaving a stupid comment like you did about flip flops truly shows where you're at in life! Sad...

Wow! Completely different town from when I lived there in 2010.
Great walk through Chris! That is actually how it feels on a Sunday morning! Looking forward to seeing more!
Thanks
We love Costa Rica and Tamarindo going down there soon again, amazing country to enjoy or invest.

Really? Sounds dangerous. How much time each way swimming?
I still recognize a few of the corner buildings and Tamarindo Hotel. I lived there in 2003. It has grown a lot.
Love the walk through. Only been there once and too much of a culture shock after Samara .
thanks for the video.... seriously considering a visit and move to Tamarindo..this helps a lot!!
Be sure to visit first and visit other areas as well to make sure your happy where you choose.
Brings back such good memories of Tamarindo, thanks for sharing!
Things are changing fast here in Costa Rica!

We love watching you guys because it makes us feel like we are actually there! ❤️
Thank you!
I like this and the sound of the flip flops.
The wife and I are moving from Peru to Tamarindo by the end of the year. I used to live in Jaco/Playa Hermosa but have never been up that way. Thanks for the video!
Had so much fun I bought the T shirt
Great job with the raw videos!!
Thanks
I feel like I am right there in person! 🥰
Excellent video muchas gracias pura vida
Catching with the new video. Busy week to create the video. Several people on Good Friday weekend. So many new businesses.
It actually wasn't as busy as we thought it would be last weekend.
@@TheDufresnes i noticed that by the end of the video. I spoke too soon, lol. the video was amazing and the view of the sea, i am feeling homesick.
Great video
Tamarindo is nice but Samara is where I'm heading! I watch you guys every morning while I dream of returning! Its been 3 yrs!
Yes Tamarindo is good for a 2 night visit to shop and surf but Samara is a true Costa Rican beach town
Great choice on Samara! 👍
Come stay with us at Sea Casa 😁
@@shaynadufresne I actually really do intend to stay at Sea Casa! I love the look and feel! You guys are doing an awesome job!
Awesome, thanks!
17:50 - I still have the scars after I lacerated my right leg on one of those rocks on the beach when a big wave pushed me to it.
Sorry to hear
the weather looks beaut man, thanks for the video. first time seeing a merc g wagon in CR :'D imagine the cost on parts
You're welcome, haha ya I've have seen a few but yes would be pricey
The beach part was nice. What colour was the sand n was it soft or grainy?
I will be here in one month. Is it safe to walk around Tamarindo alone anywhere? Also, is it recommended that I can take my iPhone out to take pictures and videos in this area?
Be very cautious at night in Tamarindo, and yes you can take your phone out. Just practice common sense
Just like I remember it. Thx.
You're welcome, when were you there last and when will you go back?

Looks really busy
Wasn't as busy as normal
Very nice love your videos 😊 is Tamarindo close to samara
2 hours away

I've had to mention this sooo many times, these are raw walk throughs, meant to mimic as if the viewer is just walking through looking around
2 views 4 likes!! Pura vida!
Haha it only shows as 2 on your end it was 4 and 4
Excellent walk through Chris! We once again canceled for April so this is greatly appreciated! And some what punishing!! Buen dia desde el okanagan!
Tamarindo turned into a tourist trap. And the sand on the beach is brown and some areas darker brown.
nice the flip-flop sound can be a little distracting. awesome video nevertheless.
Yes I've now switched to wearing shoes because everyone complains, it's supposed to represent the same sounds and sights as if the viewer is there, usually wesring flip-flops
Beach was ugly.in my opinion. The oceans far from the beach chairs and rocky
Agreed! It's great for surfing but yes very Rocky! Here in Samara our beach is much nicer
Nice! But some narration would be helpful!
That defeats the purpose of a raw walk through
Not sure on rent it varies in so many ways, we own so we aren't in that market. Best to contact property managers and ask them. In Samara it varies from 1000 to 2000 a month for something clean and not run down
Sounds like a horse walking
Haha sounds like flip-flops to me
Listening to your flip flops is very annoying.
